FYI Many thanks to Ed Yasuda who donated 3k to Coaches Choice. His generous donation met and exceeded the goal and now consider the equipment “Paid For”. Support for this program is important now and in the future, proud to have my name alongside Ed and others!!!!

Hiya Princess Leila! 🙂 🙂 🙂 Hi to mommy too!

The pic of Ammon Barker shows what appears to be some kind of mystical force emanating from his forehead. I’m thinking that’s a good thing.

Stephen, I hope you will have some way of granting the players access to these photos so that they can make prints or save them. These are snapshots in time of some the best moments of our Warriors’ lives. Mahalo Stephen, and Mahalo to the Warriors for allowing us to share these moments with them.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  12. islandman July 23, 2015 11:28 am

A mainland commentator on Curran’s show was asked if UH has a chance to win vs. Colorado. I think i heard him say “No”. He said although the defense has had its moments in the past, the offense hasn’t been able to get going much in the last three years.

    Hope it’s better this year.

  13. Andrew July 23, 2015 12:09 pm

    12.

He probably doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Unless they greatly improve from last year, Colorado really isn’t that great. UH had no offensive efficiency last year in that game and they were still within striking distance. Add in the fact that this is a home game, I think UH has a really good chance to beat Colorado.

  14. st. anthony trojan July 23, 2015 12:11 pm

I slandman…. me hope along with you…n me is sure have many others think same way…

It will depend on exactly just how much Mr. Bailey has authority to call “his” plays….under his offensive scheme… He had a very up tempo from where he came from…should have a better athletics here…even though a tougher schedule…but a few TD’s from long scoring passes…will liven up the offensive output…

Like you say…. HOPE ABOVE HOPE… not to much meddling in his play calling…

  15. BigFan July 23, 2015 12:23 pm

ST, are you trying to get artsy with your photos? Reminds me of art class when you talk about texture, lines, etc. Just seeing a lot of equipment and goal posts which reminds me of that. Great pictures though.
Looking at the selfie of you and princess, I think you would look good with your head shaved with that beard, lol. Wasn’t there a swim coach or at least another coach in an olympic sport with that look?

  16. islandman July 23, 2015 12:30 pm

I’ll go with Andrew and st. anthony trojan. The commentator did mention Wittek .

He said that in the past, teams came in for a vacation or something and the previous UH offenses (under prior coaches) would ramp up the UH offenses to win.

  17. rage777 July 23, 2015 12:42 pm

Is it just me, or is Jason always flexing his muscles in pictures?

Speaking of the Princess, ST when are you going to do those live video chats that you used to do?

  18. H-Man July 23, 2015 1:58 pm

    Colorado 2014 FBS ranking:
    Defense: Rushing – 98th; Passing – 96th
    Offense: Rushing – 75th; Passing – 20th

Colorado’s overall 2014 FBS ranking on defense – 110th. With a defense like that, if Hawaii cannot score a bunch of points against Colorado on Sept. 3rd, they deserve to lose. But I think they will with new QB Wittek and a solid receiving corp. No worry about the O-line. The 1’s are good. It’s depth that is the concern. Plus, the defense is looking really solid with few, if any, glaring weaknesses. This is a win.

  19. leron July 23, 2015 2:00 pm

Hawaii should’ve won against the Buffs last year. But when you run back an INT to the 5 yard line and come up with nothing, you deserve to lose.

  20. jimmy the lock July 23, 2015 2:16 pm

Where’s the up close Wahine pics?

  21. Shoko July 23, 2015 2:21 pm

Well, granted the Warriors have struggled these past few years but the Buffs went 2-10 (0-9) last season. Not exactly a juggernaut of the PAC12! They have a new defensive coordinator that is changing schemes and going multiple. Not to mention testing the new defense in the first game of the season is bound to have kinks that need to be worked out.

I don’t think they should be overly confident against any team on their schedule. Except for maybe Nicholls State who went 0-12 and lost to a DII team last season.

  22. Shoko July 23, 2015 2:25 pm

Is it me or were the game times recently announced today?

    2014 Scoring defense:
UH, 64th, 26.8 pts per game
    Colorado : 116th, 39 pts per game

    Scoring offense:
UH, 108th, 20.9 pts per game
Colorado, 64th, 28.5 pts per game

  24. Shoko July 23, 2015 2:31 pm

Here’s the conference broadcast schedule that is subject to change.

  25. Andrew July 23, 2015 2:43 pm

It’s a bit early, but I’m just gonna be bold and predict UH wins the first game vs. Colorado by at least two touchdowns. I won’t go into exact scores yet. I don’t think it’s a pretty game by any means for either team but I think since UH is at home, and the fact that I don’t think Colorado will be much better than they were last season, and also I think UH will be improved offensively but maybe a little shakey at first since it is the first game.

  26. jeffdman2000 July 23, 2015 2:59 pm

I really want to know…is it completely new uniforms, new helmets?

  27. Inyoface July 23, 2015 6:18 pm

Will they show the new uniforms at the MWC media day?

  29. Mrs. A-House July 24, 2015 10:32 am

    Aloha my dear friends!

Off-topic, however, Mrs. A-House is experiencing a crisis of “minion” proportions. My collection of MickyD minions lacks only one collectible…Minion #1 (I believe it is Kevin). If you know of any one who has an extra #1 willing to sell or exchange theirs for an extra one of mine, please let Mr. A-House know. If can, can, if no can, that’s ok, too. Much mahalo!

On topic, I’m cautiously optimistic that our Warriors will do well this season, and those big-shot schools that bring cockiness and swagger to the games, my advice is come prepared for battle. Warriors…JUST DO IT!
