Hawaii middle Guilherme Voss was named Big West Freshman of the Week, the first time in three Big West seasons a UH player has won the award. Voss had three kills on .400 hitting with a dig and a block in Friday’s season opener against Charleston. The Brazilian followed that with two kills on .667 hitting with three blocks in another sweep of Charleston on Saturday. Ticket prices announced (NCAA sets the prices) For the two-day packages, lower level seats are $44. Lower level range from $32 (adult), $26 (seniors 65-up) to $14 (ages 4-high school and college students with valid ID). All three Hawaii volleyball teams were expected to announce commits for 2020-21 but we have been told the SandBows will be out on Thursday. Signing with the Hawaii men is 6-8 setter Austin Buchanan, son of Idaho WVB coach Debbie Buchanan. Mom was recruited by Dave Shoji but chose to play at USC over Hawaii.
