ST:nAny chance at getting action video of the various OL men? Thanks.

  3. SteveM July 6, 2015 10:48 am

    Good morning everyone!

    Nice photos, ST.

  4. Old School Dave July 6, 2015 10:54 am

Thanks for the pics, Stephen. I don’t see any linemen with bellies handing over, like in the “old days.” Maybe, the switch to brown rice, has something to do with it :-)? No more Zip Packs to sustain players?

  5. Old School Dave July 6, 2015 11:44 am

    Oops. That should be:
“I don’t see any linemen with bellies hanging over…..”

On the other hand, a Zip Pack sounds good, right now. But that’s just me and I’m not in training.

Mahalo for the update and great pics Stephen.
    The lads are looking good!

    GO WARRIORS!!!

    EliBoola…

‘Walter for all his headlines as an activist, most folks do not realize, was famous way before his Native Hawaiian activism, as he was All-State in basketball at Kalaepohaku, and was a scholarship player at UH.’

Actually, he’s KS ’63, same class as Rockne Freitas, Kanani Souza, Sam Harris, et al. His dad had the mortuary on Molokai, & I think Walter also was also trained in mortuary science in San Francisco.

We’re looking forward to some home games, got our HA 4-RT ticket sets for some travel to Aloha Stadium & maybe some tailgate fun this season, it’s been awhile!

Guys looks like they’re in shape. Hollis looks like he put on some definition! Who’s the guy in the background of the Ben Clarke picture. He looks like a lineman who’s in great shape too.

  12. hatakeman July 6, 2015 2:29 pm

I too wondered who that was. I’m guessing, but that might be Kory Rasmussen/NT.

  13. 3-Prong July 6, 2015 2:31 pm

    Good Try Colton….

  14. 3-Prong July 6, 2015 2:35 pm

    …Kolton

  15. hatakeman July 6, 2015 2:35 pm

I see Austin Webb made it here. He’s listed on the roster, No. 73 at 6’8″/310.

  16. jimmy the lock July 6, 2015 3:18 pm

The last few years the blog marveled how in shape the team looked. So far no correlation to a winning record.

  17. nutmegger July 6, 2015 3:48 pm

    #16 jimmy the lock
Maybe, but I assert that the inverse is true.

  18. turfwar July 6, 2015 3:54 pm

Holy Cow! Did anyone else see the play that Kolten just pulled off on ESPN.

  19. BigFan July 6, 2015 4:45 pm

At least they’re in shape. Better than starting the season out of shape, lol.

  20. NorthShoreFan July 6, 2015 8:00 pm

    Guud Evening Tsaikos…bootiful evening.

Kolten had an outstanding game…got beat out for all star maybe because of BA. He’ll be a gold glove one day.

  21. kawika49 July 7, 2015 6:38 am

  22. Ipu Man July 7, 2015 7:50 am

Nice pics, ST. They all look NFL ready 🙂

  23. jimmy the lock July 7, 2015 7:54 am

    nutmegger,

No correlation to a losing record and how out of shape is the team? 😆

  24. el burro sabio July 7, 2015 7:59 am

Oh yeah, let’s go get a player who beats on women so he can be kicked off the team when he beats on women.

  25. jimmy the lock July 7, 2015 8:01 am

Not much new sports topics in the online edition. Too hot for reporters to get stories? How about interviews with the participants of the 2015 NSSA National Championships. Congrats to team Hawaii.

  26. amela July 7, 2015 9:14 am

After the quarterback punched the girl in the face what was more interesting was the reaction of the bartenders like nothing happened and didn’t care. They just kept working. Even the bystanders did nothing, what would you do? Anyway how does an underage person get into that bar?

  27. jimmy the lock July 7, 2015 9:26 am

    amela,

It doesn’t look like anyone really noticed the altercation. They are in their own world and I would assume it was noisy in there. At least an employee did help the woman and took her somewhere to get assistance.

  28. Andrew July 7, 2015 9:37 am

    26.

I’ve worked in restaurants and especially if it’s busy, its easy to not notice things going on around you when you’re “in the zone”. I didn’t see the video, but I can see how the bartender/ other staff may not have noticed right away what happened especially if it was busy.

  29. BigFan July 7, 2015 10:10 am

That quarterback incident made me think about fairness. I didn’t see the video but heard on sports radio that she started it by swinging at him. I imagine in this case being an athlete, he had an unfair advantage. This also happens in fights between guys where one is over matched. Lot of us don’t get involved to help the underdog.
So, I thought what happens if a guy is in a fight with Ronda Roussey, do we say he shouldn’t be fighting a woman even if she wants to beat the crap out of him?

  30. BigFan July 7, 2015 10:14 am

I went online to google her and her last name is spelled with one s (Rousey). She’s only 5’7″ and 135 pounds but she is such a dominant mixed martial artist that she probably can beat up a guy larger than her.
