GOOD MORNING, HAWAII!
ST:
how’s the weather ova dare?
lots of vog in the valley with little or no wind to push it away – partly overcast with broken clouds
Good morning from the Rose City. Hoping for AD announcement soon, maybe before the BOR meeting today.?
hi tom!
GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM!!!!!!!!!
#3:
UH BOR meeting today (thought it was on 4/19/15)? that would be great – first decision is to move Colorado game back to Friday {9/5/15}
I hope guys turn some heads at the Pro Day.
As I’m sure many of you know, this is for those that don’t…Joey Iosefa has put in some AMAZING work over the past 10 weeks. Starting at 262lbs and 37.9% body fat, his training has him down to 241lbs at 14.6% body fat. He LOOKS like an NFL running back now. Well done Mr. Iosefa, very very well done.

The guys look ready!
A-House: can we find out if the topic of the new AD is on the agenda or is it truly totally up to the Chancellor as they would have us believe?
Good luck to the boys at Pro Day.
…and welcome Greg Hardy to da uda Boys! (Please keep your nose clean…hehe)
My apologies, he was 27.9% body fat.
Damn, JI looks both swollen and cut at the same time. Now, lets see if sole can break into some 4.8 territory–best!
3 Prong, no worries, JJ gave him one ankle bracelet when he signed..heheh.
So I am a pest but …
What is amazing or disheartening is the donations on Coaches Choice.
We talk on this Blog about need for strength and for nutrition for all our players but the donations are lacking. Go to https://www.crowdrise.com/uhcoacheschoice and see what’s needed!
If you are give some $ to those programs, and if you got some change in your pockets, you can give to the more “popular” programs like Women’s volleyball or the football and the like.
But strength and food is what most of the bloggers keep talking about. Maybe a few dollars instead of verbage?
‘nuf said.
Thanks Tom for the info and link–I just made a couple donations to the program and Eric in the training room.

Kahuku coach Lee Leslie has decided to return to Idaho.
Lee Leslie resigned as the football coach at Kahuku …
SA news …
Guud Morning Tsaikos…bootiful day.
Crowd funding is great but is this something that can be sustained? Clear objective and plenty Aloha needed from donors. Then some evidence of accomplishments. Sometimes nobody knows where the $’s went. Sand volleyball court, Ching Field, RWSS .. some examples.
me felt Coach Leslie had things going in the right direction. dang it…lost a good one.

If you look at the Coaches Choice webpage, each Coach is fairly specific as to what he/she wants the funds for.
The moneys that they are asking for isn’t for some unspecified purpose like Ching Field, RWSS but for certain types of equipment, uniforms etc.
It is not a pie-in-the-sky solicitation but for certain specific purposes – not unlike the time certain Tsaikos donated money for some football machines which helped the receivers, punt and kick-off specialist catch balls (forgot the name) or some exercise bikes for use on the field etc.
if the $’s will go directly to that purpose then will try to dig up some kala….mahalo
Bring back Doug Semones!! (if you can find the kala)
Cheehoo-JI busted a 4.81 (unofficial)–good for him–now just needs to go to the right team.
Steve M:
E or A.
I’m guessing this was hand timed since the range is fairly large 4.71-4.81.
Any word on how the other UH players did at the Pro Day?
Geev um Warriors! Get those number and get those contracts!
those numbers* dag nabbit! You know what I meant – Good luck to all!
Auwrite Joey!
Good job JI.
Any other numbers to post for the other pro day participants?
RE: 23
…refers to my boredom/slow night poll on the blog last night:
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
RESULTS SO FAR:
A — 5
B — 1
C — [plenty based on non-response] 🙂
D — none
E — 2
RE: SteveM
I’ll go for either A or E.
aloha everyone !!
Why can’t the coaches choice have a paypal option? I don’t like any website that has to have my credit card number on file.
#29 SteveM: I pick “E”
I hope they all have their degree’s in their major field of study? I can only see Iosefa maybe catching on with a team. But the chances are slim, very slim. He has huge issues with staying healthy. I hope he has his degree, he’ll need it!
Tom you are not a pest but a passioned supporter. Even though I contribute to Na Koa I am going to donate to this site. Need more like you. Go Warriors!!!
me go the site… but no see the na wahine softball ?
Bracket buster day.
st. anthony trojan,
If Bob no stay, then give to Laura. Nah, nah, nah…your money do what you like.
st. athony trojan #35 Probably because Coach Coolen did not feel the immediate need for money. You might note that the Men’s basketball team did not have any immediate need either.
If you got some extra dough ($10 or better), you might consider giving to other programs that could use the cash. Water polo isn’t getting much love but then training table, strength program etc could use your help if you are willing to help.
ME WILL GIVE TO BOTH…he he…but in a different way…have made plans for WBB…Na Wahine me have already make 4 them sumthing…only have to get to them…
oops….4 got…ne one here coming to Manila to play ‘golf’ in the next few weeks oy so…… you can take back 4 us.. n be ‘our’ donation to the cause….air freight is very expensive…hate to waste dollars on freight…podogee blood…he he he
More than one person participated in pro day where are their numbers?
Tom…is training room = training table as in food?
Miano for red raiders coach!!!!!!
Good choice senor Rodney..he is surely qualified…unless the DOE… start drawing up sum qualifications huh …like the selection committee did for the AD..
Not sure Richie Rich wants to travel from Aina Haina side to Kahuku everyday during football season…
Thanks tom. Did not know that site existed. Coach of the Year wants cash for her ladies. Help her out.
What Eric wants I think all would agree the athletes could really use. Will go back later.
32. I am confused. The email from Crowrise makes it seem like there is a Paypal option but I saw none. That would be me choice too. I have asked the ticket office in the past to have it to no avail.
Lying on the try outs. How do I know this? Unknown names to them are that. Try again!
AL #41 – when I saw “training table”, I had assumed it was food.
But it is for a “Richmar Autosound 9.6 Ultrasound/Stim 4 channel with laser/light hybrid: The AutoSound ultrasound applicator utilizes technology that provides athletes with more efficient treatment. The new technology allows the trainers to treat a variety of injuries from one unit. The automatic application allows for longer ultrasound treatments that heals athletic injuries quicker, thereby getting them back on the field, in the gym or in the pool faster.”
I was looking at Tommy Hefferman’s request. Only $50 have been contributed to that fund – I thought it was weird considering how many bloggers are talking how essential the guys/gals get physically stronger and necessity of weight room and all that “expertise” talk and the contribution to that fund is so lousy.:-(
Sorry about my comment. Hefferman’s request is different by the training room request.
While I was answering AL’s question whether we were talking about food by quoting what the trainers wanted, I also peeked at Hefferman’s request for funds and was appalled by the amount that was contributed to his request.
I guess some Bloggers only talk the talk. (sigh)
This is what Coaches Choice is all about:
“Coaches are constantly faced with program needs that they may or may not have the financial resources for. Securing everyday items to support their practices or athletes’ game experiences may be a struggle during these challenging times. That’s where the UH Coaches’ Choice Donor program comes in. Coaches’ Choice is a way to give donors the ability to contribute as little as $10 directly to program needs. Giving is fast, easy and secure with Coaches’ Choice.”
And my apologies – probably will post this in tomorrow’s WB for the early readers/posters.
Best wishes to all former Warriors trying to get to the next level in football.
re: PayPal – don’t believe AKA/UHF uses it at all. FWIW, monies sit in a PayPal account until it’s moved by the owner of the account. That can be a hassle for a large organization.
I thought some of the coaches’ requests were interesting.
Charlie Wade’s request is fairly simple, but much needed. They have scrimmage-like drills in practices. But the Gym I scoreboard doesn’t work. And so they used that manual scoring system, where you turn over the numbers. Only some of the numbers are missing. It’s sorta funny, sorta sad.
I do like the innovation of trying to raise money for the coaches.
But it’s also kind of sad that the school doesn’t pay for what essentially seems like very small things.
It would be like seeking donations for a kid’s shoes. You would think the parents would cover it as a basic necessity.
You’re unknown KIF. Can you count the residence there? Common sense!

Wish you could contribute to multiple programs on the same screen…
ST
Are you intending on posting more results of today’s Pro Day. Anxious to see what the boys did. And Mahalo for doing it.
I’m trying to post videos on Instagram and Twitter.
It’s a slow process.
51. When I first saw that I thought it was food too. But looking further I thought that the athletes could use that equipment. So many injuries.
I think it would help if they put pictures of what they want.
Way to go Joey and Scott.
#61
I don’t participate in Twitter nor Instagram. Poho.
Where else would the stats be posted? Anyone?
ST:
beans @ #65 has a good point – too many ASSUME that technology has reached and is being used by everyone – not so, as I also don’t use twitter or facebook or whatever.
recommend UH SID put “ads” in paper, get Perry & Price to mention what the coaches needs are and remember Kekaula at KITV – maximize your sources to get the word out to HAWAII and hope that those who want to contribute but don’t know how can do so – those who are tax write off conscious can do so by determining the cost of their participation or consider it as a contribution to UH athletics!
56.
Like a floor mop.
C’mon, Joey Iosefa.
I miss the glory year of having multiple skilled players(I think they were all healthy for one-half season) on NFL rosters: Alex Green, Greg Salas, Kealoha Pilares. Davone Bess.
Do you think Alex Green’s career as a NFL player is over?
