Noa set to join Warriors
Kumoku Noa, a prolific All-State receiver from Kamehameha Schools, is set to join UH as early as tomorrow. .
Noa committed to the Warriors in January with the intention of grayshirting this season.
But the Warriors decided to activate his scholarship for the fall semester that begins Aug. 22. A funeral delayed Noa from joining last week.
Head coach Nick Rolovich said Noa will be included on the travel roster for the season-opening game against California in Australia.
Whether Noa plays this season, according to Rolovich, “is up to him” and how much progress he makes.
Noa was named to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s 2015 All-State first team after catching 55 passes for 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns in nine games. He had six games of 100-plus yards, including nine catches for 195 yards against Saint Louis.
That’s great news. Load em up.
63. Boola. I only watched the scrimmage and QB, WR drills. OL was opposite side so didn’t focus too much.. Pass protection looked solid in scrimmage though. Edge rushers couldn’t get much pressure. So that means Dejon Allen is doing well. Not sure all the OL even participated. Run blocking probably needs to improve as there weren’t many running lanes besides a big Tuiasoa run. I think OL is actually one of the better and deeper units though.
nice 1 less greyshirt for next season.
3. Hopefully we don’t bring in a east coast grey shirt. Not even walk on material ..
38. ST. I like the idea of a Nick Rolovich-like QB for 4 years. Did Rolo have wheels like MacDonald?
Good news … wonder if his bro will be in the Cal WR rotation ???
LIVE ALOHA / PLAY WARRIOR / DEFEND THE ROCK … GO ‘BOWS !!!!!
Mia is a great addition. Is he related to Henry Noa former receiver from 70’s?
Md50. I’m pretty sure he’s Henry’s son.
Thanks Jeezy. Although it sounds elementary, as our oline goes, so will the O. I’m hoping the two-headed dragon approach, will take some pressure off of the QB play. That said, if we want to approach the 500 mark, we will need some play making at QB.
Father Henry, Brothers Kilinahe & Waikaloa played for Hawaii
Brother Kalua was a GS recruit but ended up at Portland St
Brother Kanawai is still listed on the CAL roster
Cousins are former Warriors Kaulana & Karl Noa and Laanui & Haku Correa
Great news about Noa. Dad is a super guy, good bloodlines in the extended ‘ohana for sure. Can’t wait to see young Noa in action. We have the receivers this season, that’s for sure. Given the young talent we have at QB and receiver, it’s easy to picture a great passing game for years to come.
GO WARRIORS!!!
Go BoWars!
Watch the ball fall like a rainbow over the skies of Sydney 🙂
I FEEL SORRY FOR THE ATHLETES THAT CHANGED THEIR MINDS ABOUT GOING TO U.H. THEY’RE GOING TO MISS OUT ON BEING A PART OF THE HAWAII RENAISSANCE.
This guy sounds like he’s from Down Under:

16. Haha good seeing rolo emphasize footwork with the qbs… Much bigger issue than throwing mechanics I’ve noticed.
Yeah…. Paniola Rolo !!!
It’s starting to get real Sportsfans!!!!
Gotta stay calm, cannot get too pumped too early! hehe
Getting rated so low and having such a bad year actually helped us get some pretty good QB recruits. The silver lining.
Saw Allen run with the football. The guy has a motor.
Congratulations to the World Champions 50/70 All Stars baseball team from Maui for 11-12. Even tho, the SA has said nothing about your tremendous accomplishment, we who live on Maui applaud your championship.
Poor lighting and no glasses lead to Mia instead of Noa!
