Merry Christmas!

Wishing everybody the best.

Happy birthday to SteveM and Chawan Cut.

C’mon, you have to like the way June Jones ran the Pistol offense for a series against Nevada.

An amazing thing is the SMU quarterback will enter spring ball No. 3 on the depth chart.

What a game today – too bad it wasn’t more competitive. The score was looking a little “Sugar Bowl ’08-esque” for a while. But congratulations to SMU…you sure came to play. Enjoy your Christmas in paradise.

Sending warm wishes and positive thoughts to those whose Christmas may not be so joyous. Thinking of you (J)J and your mom…get better now.

    Happy Birthday, SteveM!!!!

June Jones quote used in this morning’s Dallas morning news.

“What I told them [the team] before the game is every football player – high school, college, pro – was watching this game tonight,” Jones said. “It’s all about players stepping up and making big plays in big games, and they made it happen.”

I’m thinking about the University of Southern California Trojans, about whats going on in the weight rooms, practice fields, coaches offices and the homes of recruits between now and then. But mostly I’m thinking about the confidence of the coaches being projected onto the players.

On this night, on this night, on this very Christmas night…..

listening to Christmas carols. makes me realize that football is
    only a part of life.

Had to Q-in to wish my friend, SteveM, “A very merry happy birthday.”

Not happy for another WAC loss; happy for coach JJ and his success with another program. Although he has a thousand yd. rusher,(a 1st), I fear from the exibition last night that teams will gear up to stop the passing game….. that’s why I’ve always been a fan of a more balanced attack.

Lastly, I hope BSU kicks butt when they play TCU from the MWC, in the Fiesta Bowl.

Merry Christmas coach Mac. JJ gave you the best gift. A lesson on how to “run and shoot” the correct way. Please stay away from calling plays on the offense and you may get a Hawaii bowl for Christmas next year. If not Santa put a pink slip in your stocking before you know it. Conservative run out the clock play callers will not be able to follow JJ as coach and win the heats of the fans..no matter how nice you are. We need a new “Rolo would throw” and mac stays in the back (on offense).

  49. VonAppen December 25, 2009 6:47 am

Thanks coach Mac for not winning enough to get to the Hawaii bowl. A thankful Christmas present by preventing another national TV embarrassment . We would have had our bells rung.

Aloha Kekoa and Ohana! Missed you guys yesterday! But know that every time I looked that the SMU fans and support people, I felt happy for them- who showed up with their love and enthusiasm and local traditions and band- to rise up out of the abyss of their VonAppen years into the light of Believe and redemption.

But all is good in the Land of Aloha too. Ke Akua provides and there is no Akua but Ke Akua. The rest are but His laboring servants who were born to believe and serve each other with His Aloha!

    RE: The Beast

Regarding the beast and his efforts to be a Warrior. I apologize for getting everyone so excited, it was a knee jerk reaction. This is a process that any player must go through. I have all the confidence in the world that Ryan has the ability, the desire and the heart to be a Warrior. He just has to jump through some hoops, just like anyone else, and we now realize that. We are not asking for any special treatment, just come clarity on the process so he can be a Warrior.

In my lack of foresight, I freaked out and I involved all of you, and on this day of celebration I apologize and ask for your forgiveness. The Beast is willing to do whatever it takes to be a Warrior, and will be in contact with Coach Miano tomorrow to see what he needs to do to make it happen.

This is a very Merry Christmas because not every student athlete has the opportunity to wear the Green and Black and call themselves a Warrior and represent Hawaii. Ryan humbled me with his words yesterday, and put me in my place……and the bottom line, It’s Ryan’s choice, it’s his life, it’s his dreams and aspirations that is my #1 priority.

I thank all of you for your undying support, but we shall get through this and look forward to the day that The Beast is wearing the Green and Black for UH. ST, thank you for your wisdom and your friendship, you are truly a good friend. Mahalo for looking out for my ohana. 🙂

  55. Garret December 25, 2009 7:19 am

Remember UH’s OL problems in 2008? Apparently Adrian Klemm was going to try to get a spot at UH, but instead JJ convinced him to help out at SMU (with no pay) that season. This season Klemm has done a great job as SMU’s OL coach. I’m always happy to see UH players have coaching success, and would love it if he would coach UH’s OL sometime in the future.

Former Hawai’i offensive lineman Adrian Klemm completed his first season as the Mustangs offensive line coach and said he’d like to make a career of it.

“I was thinking about trying to get on at UH but June told me, ‘Come on down here and help us,’ ” said Klemm, who earned three Super Bowl rings with the Patriots. “I wanted to test it out so I volunteered a little last year.”

This season he became a full-time coach and said, “I love it. My dad’s been a career coach and this is what I want to do.”

    MELE KALIKIMAKA TO EVERYONE!!

Watching SMU brought back memories..It was refreshing and fun to watch the Run-n-Shoot in action again. Too bad it was against a WAC team. WAC’s not having much luck with the bowl games so far. Wonder how UH would do against them?

On the flip-side, seeing JJ and SMU sorta felt like seeing my ex who dumped me for her new boyfriend! hahahaha.

  58. Bulla December 25, 2009 7:48 am

    Chee,

that was pretty funny, mahalo for the laugh this morning.

But you gotta admit, watching the SMU offense brought back a lot of good memories of times past………

Good luck to JJ and SMU……

Merry Christmas to one and all as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ! Happy Birthday to all the Christmas babies 🙂

Ryan humbled me with his words yesterday, and put me in my place……and the bottom line, It’s Ryan’s choice, it’s his life, it’s his dreams and aspirations that is my #1 priority.

okay my friend and fellow member of Warrior Nation,

Thanks for letting us know the inside scoops. You raised a smarter kid than you knew. Good for Ryan. Good for him for making us all proud!

    Imua Warriors! Imua Coaches!

Blessings to you and your ohana.

    SteveM Happy Birthday, buddy!

rasu begasu Belated Happy B-Day & nice to see you back on the blog.

Bulla Good luck on your quest. We all know Da Beast has a
    heart of a Warrior.

mctruck Agree with you about it being great if Boise State can
recoup loss of respect for the WAC and at the same
time can show everybody the Oregon win was not a
    fluke.

VonAppen I think your wish will be granted as Rolo will show he is a
just as gifted a play-caller as he was a Quarterback &
can handle the lion’s share if not sole responsibility for it.

  63. protector December 25, 2009 8:15 am

    CHEE!

I have to admit that others are probably right in saying UH would not have been competitive in this year’s Sheraton Hawai’i Bowl. That lump of coal in the stocking (from not being in the Bowl) this year may actually have been a tiny diamond in the rough as it probably saved us another national embarassment. I’m not saying we won’t be competitive very soon, but the team has to keep shoring up the weaknesses as they go and heal up fast so the talent can be on the field rather than being the walking wounded. The recruits and some others already on the team (who need to step up) may just help turn the corner. If Paipai & Geordan heal up & we get Rocky back + Tuipulotu, USC will be in for a fight. Oops, forgot that O-Line being ready is another big key.

Bulla: Mahalo for your posting above.

By the way, read Dave Reardon’s column in The Other Downtown Daily. Who got the idea first – he or Chee?

We’re off to the Stan Sheriff Center in about an hour for a full day of basketball. Hope Flemings is okay to play.

June Jones is the exgirlfriend that was just great for you but then you took her for granted and in one last great year of your relationship she starts seeing someone else behind your back, decides to leave, says yes to your marriage proposal, and then leaves you hanging on your wedding day.

JJ is gone. We are all UH fans and he has NOTHING to do with OUR program anymore.

Last night may have been nostalgic for many of us, but “one snap and clear”… pau!

So… When does spring ball start? 😎

be blessed and be grateful, mahalo to all of the Tsaikos near and far 🙂

Ok gang I’m over the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. Done. Finished. Pau. Terminado. Owarimashita.

I’m thankful for what WE have (Warriors) and not what we DONT have!!

Kazz and Protector said what we all know all ready, our Warriors wounds are healing and our coaches are stocking up on talented players. Our coaches will have them ready I’m sure for 2010.

    Is it spring yet??

  93. Garret December 25, 2009 9:48 am

Was I just imagining it or did SMU basically run the ball in from the RedZone each time?

    madeinhawaii,

They threw one short TD pass, but the runs were definitely successful in the red zone yesterday. Did you notice that JJ used a TE when they had the ball near the goal line in one of their short TD runs (the one by Line)? UH has a number of players that could fill that TE role, or just use an extra offensive lineman.

  94. Garret December 25, 2009 9:54 am

Before the Hawaii Bowl, SMU in the red zone had 17 rushing TDs and 7 passing TDs, so they have been running the ball well all season in the red zone.

After the NCAA stats are updated with the bowl stats, it looks like they will be in the top 10 in the NCAA in the red zone stat and UH will be #120 (out of 120 D-IA teams).

  95. Slugger December 25, 2009 10:06 am

  101. UHfan808 December 25, 2009 10:27 am

Thru our blog over these past couple years, many of you have become my close personal friends with whom I have learned I can count on in addition to sharing our Warrior team’s ups and downs.

I am thankful for and appreciate and cherish your love and friendships, and consider you my family.

Have a safe and wonderful Merry Christmas!

Happy Birfday to SteveM, the “keeper” of this blog!!

  106. UHfan808 December 25, 2009 10:38 am

Guud thing for DVR, no? Since I slept all thru the nite last nite, now I’m gonna turn on the Nevada vs SMU game to see what y’all are blogging about.

    Sorry to hear Nevada lost.

But (unda JJ’s coaching) nice to know how we could have won, yeah? lol

  107. RedZone December 25, 2009 10:49 am

June Jones has been experimenting a lot at SMU. Last year I remember seeing him line up a huge h back behind the oline in the left tackle and left guard gap. I thought it was strange at first until after the ball snapped. The h back shot outside and caught and trapped the rush end who never saw him coming.

  108. A-House December 25, 2009 10:55 am

almost forgot – a Happy Birfday to Chawan and to Lefty (tomorrow)!!

  109. Bulla December 25, 2009 11:09 am

    RedZone,

one of the TD’s in the latter part of the SMU game was by a ‘converted’ linebacker……looked like a Jake Heun body double, and he ran over 2 guys going in standing up…..ouch! 🙂

  110. Dennis Halloran December 25, 2009 11:33 am

I think the most informative thing we learned from JJ visit is how important it is to recruit DL and CB’s right after QB(which he said he is set for the next 5 years)
I always was OL first kind of guy but what JJ said was probably more correct.
I’ll enjoy watching the Tivo today
Colt will be in a great spot next year, cuz he is a possible free agent after next season, so whoever his coach is, he will have to really give him exposure
    Merry Christmas all around

  112. madeinhawaii December 25, 2009 11:36 am

    asta la vista!

  113. RedZone December 25, 2009 11:39 am

I wonder if the beast can runneth with balleth.

  114. Kazz (blkberry_storm) December 25, 2009 11:41 am

    CHEE,

    A “cheeeeeehoooooo” to you!

Dey u go sir! Right mind set. SMU can do what they do. We only should care and concern ourselves in what the University of HAWAII does.

  115. RedZone December 25, 2009 11:48 am

I think at coming out of highschool you go for the best athlete, find a spot for them in your system then you coach em up.

I remember John Estes saying that he was also being recruited out of highschool as a dlineman too.

  116. Bulla December 25, 2009 11:50 am

    haha

the beast will doeth anything that needeth to be doneth with the balleth or thateth is asketh of himeth by the coaches. in the snow country, he ranneth the balleth only in practice, but had funneth wheneth he dideth……u never knoweth whateth mighteth happen 🙂 he knoweth that he is the loweth on the totem pole, but he can climbeth like a monkey…..

  117. RedZone December 25, 2009 11:56 am

I will look foward to seeing the beast with balleth in handeth. Miano we need big versitle player who can also carry the ball on short yardage situations.

  118. Kazz (blkberry_storm) December 25, 2009 12:16 pm

    In case anyone has forgotten:

    GO BOWS!!!

  119. Garret December 25, 2009 12:19 pm

To the poster who complained about UH’s recruiting and said that UH should recruit Beau Yap, I should point out that Yap is going on an official recruiting trip to UH on January 15.

  120. Stephen Tsai December 25, 2009 12:30 pm

Yep. Beau Yap is indeed going to visit UH.

  121. Garret December 25, 2009 12:31 pm

I always was OL first kind of guy but what JJ said was probably more correct.

    Dennis,

I think that a team cannot win without a solid OL. If you look at JJ’s first 2 recruiting classes you’d see:

2009: 6 OL, including two 3-star recruits. Padron was rated 2-stars by Scout, but JJ offered him instead of the 3-star QBs who were interested in SMU.

2008: 7 OL, including many of the starters yesterday.

According to what I looked up on scout, UH had 2 OL recruits in 2008 and 4 in 2009.

  122. Bowwar December 25, 2009 12:34 pm

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! It’s great to be a part of the Warrior Nation!

  123. jm2375 December 25, 2009 12:36 pm

RIP George Michael, of the “George Michael Sports Machine”. I was a faithful viewer back in the early days. His sportscasts were alway enjoyable.

  124. Garret December 25, 2009 12:38 pm

Nevada’s seniors that did not redshirt played in 4 straight bowl games…and lost all 4 of them.

  125. Garret December 25, 2009 12:42 pm

I would like for UH to get at least one recruit from Kahuku…a certain kicker could really fill a need for the team.

  126. d1島 December 25, 2009 12:57 pm

An amazing thing is the SMU quarterback will enter spring ball No. 3 on the depth chart.

    Spooky! 😯

After he retires, The Former Coach could write a best-selling book about evaluating QB talent.

  127. I Love Pecan Pie December 25, 2009 1:06 pm

    go rainboweth!
There wuz a big beautiful rainbow last night during
the game. And what was exciting about SMU and
June Jones was their pass bombs—50 yard plus!
Or so it seemed. Reminded me of Rolo and
Ashley Lelie (sp?)—Come on, Rolo, you can do
    that again for us…pretty please.
    Pleath?

  128. d1島 December 25, 2009 1:09 pm

Looking forward to Bradley and Taylor coming back and throwing in Billy Ray to the mix. 🙂

  130. al December 25, 2009 1:13 pm

didn’t june run that huge h back a few years ago?

and, happy birthday to c_c and lefty as well.

  131. Garret December 25, 2009 1:13 pm

Two former Kahuku players are looking to transfer out of Oregon State. I wonder if they might be interested in playing in front of their family and friends back in Hawaii…

There was some news Saturday as the school announced that one of its FBS-high five sets of brothers is leaving the team. Redshirt freshman LB Kameron Krebs and redshirt freshman WR Kaulin Krebs will transfer, but OSU SID Steve Fenk said they are unsure of their destination at this point.

  132. al December 25, 2009 1:17 pm

d1…what will they do with malcolm lane?

if bradley is healthy then pilares goes back to slot.
if lane picks up where he left off then he and bradley would probably start.

i liked the way taylor progressed last year. perhaps we go five wide or rotate him to give bradley and lane a breather. in any case we will have a bevy of talent catching the ball including billy ray in the mix.

swing and shovel passes to brown and chizzy.

    hmmmm.

  133. ai-eee-soos December 25, 2009 1:25 pm

ST: “An amazing thing is the SMU quarterback will enter spring ball

No. 3 on the depth chart ”

Spread the word: UH needs a long ball thrower.

Transfer to UH; sit out one year, then have 3 for 3.

Can easily compete for playing time.

  134. (Jesse)James December 25, 2009 1:26 pm

Wishing all of you a Very Merry Christmas….and hoping you all have fun and happiness with your family and friends….

    Merry Christmas to all!

Happy B-day to SteveM and Chawan. Mahalo for all you two do for the blog!

Just got done watching the UH game on ESPN. Dwain Williams was lobbing some bombs at the end, d1…he was the only one keeping us in the game.

  159. Ralph December 25, 2009 4:55 pm

the two teams playing the championship game have D1 transfers, maybe it is a better way to go than juco for a fix. Dwain is from a D1 program, Providence. a D1 scholarship player might bring a lot more to the program than a JUCO unless he was a D1 non qualifier who was highly sought after.

  160. Ralph December 25, 2009 5:00 pm

UH has 18 games to play not including the WAC tournament which UH must qualify to participate. Currently 6-6, Nash needs 12 wins in the next 18 games for a rollover, Jason needs 14 wins or he buys lunch. Nash has an easy route than Jason thanks to JD with his low expectations for the mbb team. At least 18 wins won’t get UH an invite to the NCAA, and it may not be enough to get into the NIT. Got to raise the bar JD, rookie mistake.

    Happy Birthday to you!

I think you’ve forgotten that Coach Mack was a cornerstone & a big part of the success of those ’06 thru ’08 teams. You also conveniently forget that without Coach Mack’s ’99 contibution, JJ would not have engineered as successful a turnaround. It’s a weak argument to blame him for the disappointing seasons & ignore his role in the success this team has had.

  167. SteveM December 25, 2009 6:46 pm

Merry Christmas wishes and prayers to (J)J’s mom and Long Time UH Fan.

  168. Ralph December 25, 2009 6:51 pm

HiFlyer per SMU site Bo Levi isn’t listed in their participation chart, must have been someone else at RB that you mistook for qb Bo Levi. Braden Smith is the other qb and he also did not participate in the game.

  169. protector December 25, 2009 7:02 pm

    ai-eee-soos on # 134

JJ always stated that all things being the same, he always looked for the most ‘accurate’ thrower, not necessarily the most strong-armed. Timmy Chang could throw long-he just wasn’t accurate (plus he used to brag that sometimes he threw a long ball to give the fans a thrill-idiotic; you throw long when the guy is open). Colt Brennan on the other hand connected on 40% of all his throws of over 30+ yards. That to me is amazing & it would be interesting to know the stats for Colt McCoy, Tebow, etc.-I don’t think those guys could compare.

We’re already set at QB for the next 4 years even if we don’t recruit for the next 3.

I’m with Garret for the need to concentrate on quality O-Line
recruits, preferably OT please. You’ve seen the effects when our quality OTs (of the past) went to play for the NFL. Also hope someone can step in to take over Center duties now that Estes is gone.

  170. konagold December 25, 2009 7:29 pm

Tsai or anyone else…do you know if Jamora from Kahuku has any visit plans to UH? Don’t understand why BSU would pay for his visit and only offer him a walk on position, maybe Coach Mac should make another visit to the North Shore for a house call, if he hasn’t already. Mahalo

Merry Christmas Tsaiko’s around the world.
Bulla..do not…do not lose the passion! No need to apoligize fo nuthing!..the passion speaks and if only each and every Warrior have the same passion like you and Da Beast, we would have a much better team! I look forward to the day Da Beast suits up in a Warrior Uni.

Anyhoo, the day is almost over and time to look to the new year. Make sure you guys get da MOCHI before da firecracker or bombs! The Northshore is like a firing range! Not atlking about small kine aerials but huge house shaking blast! The dog is getting one nervous breakdown! Gotta give her some beer, me thinks.

BigHilo did you make it to the Sheraton Bowl?

  174. bighilofan2 December 25, 2009 7:44 pm

    June Jones,

thank you for coming and filling my christmas stocking with words of wisdom. telling the world that your successful Padron is #3 on your next year’s depth chart, after he threw for 460 yards and was pretty accurate, is a good way to promote TEAM and MOTIVATION.

I gotta believe Coach Mack is listening and watching all the happenings. and that Miano, Cal ad Ron are watching and listening too. They are the ones who are literally putting the local light on UH Warriors insofar as the perception of UH by the local high schools and their ballers is based on these coaches.

  175. bighilofan2 December 25, 2009 7:45 pm

    no

  176. bighilofan2 December 25, 2009 7:49 pm

but I had a great christmas eve. my kids, grandkids, i got to choke them with turkey and presents.

and I got to watch June Jones and his entourage. I got to see how its done. everybody does their job differently than the next guy, i got to see the man project authority, leadership, and i watched his assistants each do their thing without acting like they had to tell him what fo do. it was a great show for anybody who has an interest in acting like the head coach.

  177. Capitol -ist/WassupDoc December 25, 2009 8:16 pm

Picked three out of the five All-Tournament Team members plus the MVP. No, I’m not prescient – only observant. Keep your eyeballs on USC’s Mike Gerrity over the next six months or so until the NBA draft. Sometimes size does not count as much as you boys think. In basketball, that is.

Congratulations to Dwain Williams for being as good as he is.

  180. Eh No Make ! December 25, 2009 9:26 pm

    Attention Garret:

For the record, going on a “visit” is a lot different than being “recruited” as potential scholarship athlete.
For the record, even future “invited walk ons” take official “recruiting visits”.

    Just a friendly reminder.

Trust me, I wish things were “peachy” when it comes to the Warriors recruiting efforts, however, I KNOW better. I also believe Mr. Tsai knows better as well, and he’s just not being as direct as I am.

Fact of the matter is this, University of Hawaii is LOSING, when it comes to recruiting stand out Hawaii high school football players. Can it get better? Well, yes.
WILL it get better? Well, not in the near future.

Now please don’t get the wrong picture. I bleed green and white, not black though, just green and white. I pay good money for 6 season tickets, have done so for 19 years, yet I am realistic.

It’s not going so good right now.

I mean really, how many of you, us, didn’t realize how good it was or how good it could be if June Jones were still our guy. Mack comes across as a real “nice guy”, sure, I get that, however, 13 and 14 over two seasons, inexplainable losses to Utah State, San Jose State, Idaho, UNLV just to name a few…that is NOT acceptable.

This will ruffle some of youe feathers I’m sure, but do we not deserve better for $1.1 million dollars per year. Heck, Notre Dame fires their coach for going 6-6.

Our team was frazzled too many times. Worst example of gmae / clock management I’ve ever seen this past season, and frankly, I’m sick and tired of the head coach saying “we make no excuses…” then delivering a bunch of excuses.

    Enough already, enough…!

  181. Momona December 25, 2009 9:28 pm

#167 – Coach Mack came back in 2007.

  182. Garret December 25, 2009 9:35 pm

    Eh No Make !,

I tried to be careful how I worded the Yap recruiting visit because from what I understand, UH hasn’t offered him yet. I posted about that a couple of days ago, when I wondered why UH hadn’t offered him yet. I was trying to post something positive without overstating it.

I do agree that local recruiting is *not* going well. UH offered so many of the top Hawaii recruits this year and they seem to all want to go to other schools. People blamed JJ for the top Hawaii recruits going away to Pac-10 and other schools and the thought I saw posted was that turning Cal Lee and Ron Lee loose would get half of the top 10 local recruits to play for Hawaii. That is after the recruiting budget is so much higher and after the recruits saw how the state was behind the Warriors in 2006/2007.

Earlier this season I went on and on about clock management, 1 vs. 2 point decisions, and getting that FG unit onto the field too late in the UNLV game. I hope things are much, much better next year in that area. I *do* believe that things will be better, but that could be my wanting to be optimistic…and because they can’t get much worse.

  183. Garret December 25, 2009 9:38 pm

Tsai or anyone else…do you know if Jamora from Kahuku has any visit plans to UH? Don’t understand why BSU would pay for his visit and only offer him a walk on position, maybe Coach Mac should make another visit to the North Shore for a house call, if he hasn’t already. Mahalo

    konagold,

I remember that BSU had just 5 seniors this year, which means that they have to have very, very few scholarships for recruiting. If one of their other high-profile recruits do not accept, then they might have a scholarship to offer Jamora. He has other options though so he might not be available if they do not move soon.

  184. Garret December 25, 2009 9:41 pm

By the way, Padron started this season as SMU’s #3 QB. All of their QBs are back next year, plus JJ has a commit from a very good high school QB from St. Louis (he had an offer from Wisconsin and other schools). JJ also has a transfer from NMSU waiting to play next season–that QB was supposed to start this season for NMSU, but he transferred out when they had their coaching change and ran their scout team this season.

  185. Momona December 25, 2009 10:00 pm

JJ also got another good HS QB prospect out of Dallas.

    Eh No Make 181,
    Garret 183,
    Hasiak,

guys i get optimism. neva say neva…

if was me, there are two people I’d be talking to right now. da kapolei coach. da father. and the people i’d be taking with me to talk to these guys would be Coach, Gordy, Ron Lee. and not Miano.

And I would be talking to each of them separately. And then I would talk to the kid, find out from his dad what his inner angst is all about first. something is bothering the kid.. thats my gut talking.

because timing could not be more perfect. for him. for Hawaii. he get family for support him. he get us for support him. and we could get him for support us.

  207. bighilofan2 December 26, 2009 4:55 am

and another reason why i still get optimism

George Daly Lyles. He was one super recruit last year. thick. fast.
our coaches are on it. what they’re lacking is the public speaking.
wishing us luck, coaches, wishing us luck!

this ode is fo da Kapolei kid….

    desperado…
why don’t you come to your senses…
you’ve been out riding fences for so long now.
    oh you’re a hard one
but i know you got your reasons
these things that aren’t pleasing you
    can hurt you somehow…..

don’t you draw the queen of diamonds boy,
she’ll beat you if she’s able
you know the queen of hearts is your best bet.
now it seems to me some fine things
have been laid upon your table
but you only want the ones
    that you can’t get.

desperado, you ain’t getting no younger
    your pain and your hunger
    they’ve driven you home.

get samoa lines in da Eagles song….
you can play da whole tune in your head
    get the idea.

i say take advantage of all the goodies you get right here.

    a shooting star,
sometimes only get one chance fo burn bright
enough for all us to see.
here’s hoping you gonna get 2.

    Happy New Year.
