Going to a Hukilau

Norm Chow will be making his first open-to-the-public speaking appearance at noon Wednesday at the Hukilau on Bishop Street.

It also will mark the first event of Hawaii’s newly created Downtown Athletic Club, which will bring sports figures to Honolulu’s downtown area.

Isn’t amazing that we have all these people here that know what Chow is going to do, I guess we don’t need the coach to say anything.

  5. Da Punchbowl Kid January 8, 2012 9:00 am

    Good Morning Gangeez! 🙂

New Club, new Coach… …yes, the culture is shifting for UH sports!

A win in Men’s basketball or volleyball doesn’t create a euphoria that lasts for days like a good Warrior football win. It’s sunday and already I’m feeling Warrior/Bows sports withdrawal symptoms.

  8. Tan Man January 8, 2012 9:02 am

Any more recruiting news? Or are we in a dead period when no one is supposed to talk about recruits? What about the recruits secured prior to hiring of Coach Chow? Are they still coming or are they now free to make new choices again? Very very anxious to know what kind of players this regime can recruit. Von Appen tried to run the Pro-Set but could ot recruit players and thereby leading us into the 0-19 period. I think Coach Chow is also a better coach than Von Appen, at least, just by comparing their resumes. However, there must be enough good players who are willing to play at UH in order for him to be successful. If I am not mistakened, our top prospect from Hawaii committed for Stanford and the number two declared to attend Oregon. I thought Coach Chow got an offensive lineman but I’ve also heard that another offensive linemen who had committed to UH before had de-committed. I wonder if our host can give us a little bit of news on the recruiting front?

  9. d1shima January 8, 2012 9:03 am

Whether or not Coach Chow is in San Antonio this weekend or not is not a biggie…nobody there will be blocking, tackling, throwing or catching in September anyway.

His public appearances, otoh, will be important especially here at home. Hope he starts off well.

    GOOD MORNING HAWAII!

Thought the basketball game was a good one – though the 2nd half was a bit worrisome for a while.

  15. Kevin January 8, 2012 9:14 am

Euphoria lasts as long as your particular passion dictates.

In short it depends on the person enjoying the win and appreciating all the other UH student-athletes and programs.

Its a new sports season with more sports to enjoy and focus on.

But that is optional for people to realize.

    But..

  16. ai-eee-soos January 8, 2012 9:14 am

    Wow, so much speculation!

Fact is, Norm Chow is NOT, repeat, NOT attending the coaches convention in San Antonio.

Fact is, Norm Chow is NOT returning to Hawaii on Monday, January 9th.

These, my fellow bloggers, are the facts. The rest is purely speculation.

Can we all not be patient with all of this, it will work itself out.

  33. PAULY D January 8, 2012 9:44 am

Okay I got a big question

Say we win the MWC championship…The winner usually goes to the Las Vegas bowl if they dont make it to a BCS game.. Would we accept an invitation to the Las Vegas bowl were we we know there is a good fan base vs a PAC12 team or do we stay in Hawaii and play CUSA teams?

  34. madeinhawaii January 8, 2012 9:48 am

    PAULY D

If we were in the Sheraton Bowl the previous year, and the payout is big enough, we might opt for the Las Vegas Bowl, otherwise, Sheraton Bowl, it is.

  40. Kekoa January 8, 2012 10:08 am

Who’s idea was it to have the 1st public meet & greet at the Hukilau? Not easily accessible to most folks, and the parking downtown SUCKS!…oh and btw, did I mention that the venue itself is smaller than my garage!

Why not have it in the Wong room at the SSC? $50 donation at the door. Lite lunch menu and stand-up cocktail tables to pack da place. All proceeds from parking (even $6 bucks beats $20 downtown) and the room, stays on campus.

    I know…I know…NOW you tell me. Sheesh!

  41. Stu Padasso January 8, 2012 10:09 am

It’s a no-brainer…Of course you take the Las Vegas Bowl invite over a Sheraton Hawaii Bowl invite. We probably have a better attendance in Vegas anyways. I would go.

    hukilau:

yea, as kids we had many of those at Lawai Beach, aka Atherton Estate, aka Kauai Botanical Garden and at Pohai Beach – both are inlets with sandy bottom.

surround net and catch moi, papio, oio – also, used to set crab nets for “watari” – whoa, beeeg kine – many over 12″ across.

we set crab nets in Lawai River and got some monster kine samoan crab – plus throw net for the mullet, papio and aholehole in the river.

I hope the Dungness crab in Alaska is over the “red tide” virus so can eat the miso!

  58. Kekoa January 8, 2012 11:01 am

  77. RIKanaka January 8, 2012 12:09 pm

Speaking of fashion, I was watching CBS Sunday Morning today where they did a puff segment on college football uniforms, focusing mainly on the Oregon Ducks of course, but also had a “Queer Eye” fashion expert critiquing various teams’ uniforms, including the “Rainbow Warriors”. He didn’t care for the current UH unis as he thought the “tiki” patterns were too understated and the colors should be brighter (he seemed to prefer a lime green). One suggestion I thought that was intriguing was a “grass skirt” pattern on the pants. If Vili the Warrior can wear one at the games, maybe the players can get away with a patterned one on the pants? The CBS segment is at:

    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-3445_162-57354505/a-gridiron-fashion-statement/?tag=re1.galleries

The UH segment is at ~4:30 in if you don’t want to watch the whole thing.

Tan Man in 8 makes a good point about the pro set. You need pro players. Hawaii’s best results have been with unorthodox offensive schemes that make the most of unorthodox players. That is the big challenge for Chow.

    re: Your post # 203. January 8th, 2012 at 8:06 am

Take it easy Bud . I AIN’t advocating for Rolo to be fired.

All I’m saying is that if someone like NaMaSu offered an OC, HELL ain’t nuthin

wrong with taking that job, with the possibilties of coaching a pretty good QB; and having

    complete control of HIS offense.

With the proper negotiating, terms ($$$) and conditions can be favorable.

The SERIOUS part: HELL anyone should leave the nest to learn more and gain more

experience, IF he WANTS to. Many young football coaches change jobs a lot.

No sked leave the nest. Big bucks $$$ await the successful ones.

If one wants to stay on the rock and have job security, thanks to HGEA/State Govt,

I have no problem with that either.

    All is OK with me.

  95. Da Punchbowl Kid January 8, 2012 1:24 pm

A check of the business names – unless the State is behind in its paperwork – does not show that the Downtown Athletic Club is registered.

Should the Tsaikos grab the tradename? 🙂

  114. whitey January 8, 2012 2:36 pm

in the 2 minute drill, the horses are not paying attention to the clock and 2 imcompletes helped the hardhats get the ball.

I know this is the “Warrior Beat”, but , WOW! How ’bout Tim Tebow stepping up again!

    I personally think it’s UNBELIEVABLE!

  130. kev-1 January 8, 2012 3:04 pm

This weekend sucks! No UH football tidbits and the Steelers lost. It’s a good thing I’m sitting at home instead of somewhere near a cliff. No I wouldn’t jump, but I may push somebody off.

My luck, the guy I choose to push would be bigger than me and wouldn’t even budge. Then he’d kick my a__ for pushing him in the first place. Man, my weekend would suck even more then.

Guess I’ll have to wait for some UH football news to cheer me up sometime next week. We will here something by then, won’t we?

  131. kev-1 January 8, 2012 3:04 pm

Go figure . . . Tebow wins the game in one play with his arm. Guess I should go to church more often.

  132. kev-1 January 8, 2012 3:05 pm

  147. Bugaz January 8, 2012 3:57 pm

No dog in the fight and Tebow played a great game with heart and intensity, but with a healthy Roth, they probably lose this one. Looking forward to next weeks match ups.

  148. kev-1 January 8, 2012 4:00 pm

Really tough game for Ike Taylor. Gave up too many big plays.

  149. Bugaz January 8, 2012 4:01 pm

    115. Sounds exciting! Great training and preparation for all kinds of athletes, but if it is connected to NFL prospects making it into the NFL and coach Chow can be a part of it, it may be a great thing for Hawaii football.

  150. PIAA DS January 8, 2012 4:41 pm

Tony is here in SA. I havent seen Rolo or any of the other previous coaches yet, but tomorrow is the biggest day and 1000’s more coaches are expected.

  152. rainbowfan January 8, 2012 5:10 pm

    #8 & 93,

Note that West Coast and Pistol offenses used by Chow at UCLA wasn’t so good. Although some said he didn’t have a good offensive line and QB’s.

Nor was von Appen’s west coast offense.

  153. Diane Beranek January 8, 2012 5:58 pm

Why haven’t the bankers been prosecuted-? The simple answer is that going after them would expose the politician-s who defended them. It would hurt the false narrative that has been created that blamed the crisis on corporate greed. As if companies only recently started caring about their bottom line. Companies are expected to care about their bottom line. Maintainin-g that bottom line means staying in business and continuing to employ people. Money is in politics because of the heavy handed interactio-n the government has with business. The government can literally make or break some companies which gives them an incentive to have political influence. As long as that incentive exists then so will the influence. The simple reason for that is that people are corruptibl-e. Ultimately regulation-s are only as powerful as those who are to enforce them. Many of those regulators are overseen by Congress.buy wow gold

  154. madeinhawaii January 8, 2012 6:01 pm

    rainbowfan,

Von Appen and Chow do not compare. Von Appen was a defensive coach looking for a West Coast OC. Chow is an Offensive Coach looking for a good Defensive Coach.

If Von Appen had Chow, it may have been a very different story.

  155. d1shima January 8, 2012 6:09 pm

    1. I wish Rolo well – no shame ask for the kala; because …

    2. I read on the NaMaSu blog that they just hired their new DC @ 100K.

    3. Ai-yah; 100K for Rolo is WAY not enough.

ASK for the kala, Rolo – don’t sell yourself short.

Corey Batoon on ESPN coaching for Arkansas St….too bad they’re losing against Illinois. Is this a replay?

  162. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:01 pm

Why is it this guy O’Brien gets the Penn state job and with in 2 days he names some big hires, 4 guys, very good experience, and we don’t hear a peep out here on the UH Staff? Are things going ok? Is NC striking out on some guys and therefore no news so that it does not look bad?

  163. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:05 pm

Hmm. This much silence can either be a good thing or bad thing. I will trust in who ever Chow gets, I trust his judgement. I think Chow wants to remain silent, rather than us hearing about a great qualified guy that Norm offered then hearing that the “paperwork got lost 3 times at Manoa so it did not work out”. Or hearing “we did not have enough money to pay him”. It must be all based on trying to avoid any embarrassment.

  164. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:09 pm

Just sayin… I bet Chow already has had a few obstacles in his way in the form of slow bureaucracy.

  165. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:10 pm

Well, hopefully we hear something by Wed, I thought I heard that recruits are coming in to visit next weekend. Please let there be permanent staff in place to greet players and parents. LOL

  166. madeinhawaii January 8, 2012 7:10 pm

As long as he doesn’t stick that long list of names into his back pocket, I’ll be okay with the silence. Those things tend to disappear in back pockets at UH.

  167. BigHiloFan2 January 8, 2012 7:11 pm

  169. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:18 pm

madeinhawaii: LOL, I hear you, I just mean full time, Norm Chow Hires

  170. MistahB84 January 8, 2012 7:20 pm

Norm probably has been planning this for years, and if one part of the plan doesn’t pan out, move on to the next. Being around other programs, coaches, philosophies, he most likely formulated a way to construct a perfect system over the years should he be a head coach. And for someone like him, hes not going to do this just for his time here, he will work so that the next coaching regime can keep the continuity that he has laid before them, should we hire one of his assistants for head coach. He will give his best for Hawaii and do whats best for Hawaii. I’m sure when he hangs it up, he will have the most wins of any UH football coach when its all said and done and his legacy will be the dynasty he built and left behind…………….ok dinnah time!

  171. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:21 pm

Guys I don’t know if anyone remembers when I posted a rant about how unprofessional UHAD is by continuing to post Mac and his old staff up on the athletics website and not having Norm Chow up as the Head Coach. Well I think someone who works in the UHAD reads the ST blogs. The website was changed the next day. Maybe our voices are being heard…..Hmmmmm?

  172. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:26 pm

    171. Wow, those are some lofty expectations. Dynasty? Best win loss record in history? Who will he have to beat, June Jones? I don’t know who it is. So if we do a little math, Norm will have to coach at least 9 to 10 years, reasonably speaking to take him to 75 years old or older. So Mistah, you are thinking Jopa.

  173. Ipu Man January 8, 2012 7:27 pm

Hopefully, Rolo can roll with bigger offers…

  174. Bugaz January 8, 2012 7:28 pm

I’m hoping Miano still gets retained.

  175. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:29 pm

Bugaz, what about Lumpkin? Any hope?

  176. Ipu Man January 8, 2012 7:30 pm

btw, congrats to June Jones for his win over Pitt…

  177. Ipu Man January 8, 2012 7:32 pm

    Love Lumpkin, especially his name…

    rhymes with…

  178. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:33 pm

What would define a “perfect system” perfect means never making a mistake, every decision is the right one, doing everything to the best and never losing any games. Right?

  185. MistahB84 January 8, 2012 7:42 pm

    @mikesmith

Even though he may not win as much games as June Jones, it isn’t a sin to have positive optimism. My words are not boastful, i don’t see any thing wrong with it.

  186. Bugaz January 8, 2012 7:43 pm

Recruits will probably be in on the 13th after the current dead period. Hurry up and replenish the toilet paper!

  187. MistahB84 January 8, 2012 7:44 pm

And far as the dynasty, i meant it in a way as he created a template for “consistent” success. From recruiting, to the playing field….not championship bcs busting year in and year out.

  188. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:47 pm

@MistahB84 nothing wrong with your optimism at all

  189. Bugaz January 8, 2012 7:48 pm

I don’t mind NC not having a better record than JJ, just don’t lose to teams that end the season with 2,3,or 4 wins. But hoping he can take the program to the next level, maybe three consecutive top 25 seasons and cap it off with a Sugar Bowl win.

  190. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:48 pm

Thanks Bugaz, I knew it was coming soon. Lets hope we have a full time full staff. I am still hoping Aranda gets retained, LOL

  191. slenzi January 8, 2012 7:49 pm

    Tebow-time extended . . . I’m just sayin . . . you better not snooze on Denver.

  192. Bugaz January 8, 2012 7:49 pm

  193. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:50 pm

Ipuman wow, what has come of us all, we are hoping for 200? Pathetic news weekend. LOL

  194. MistahB84 January 8, 2012 7:51 pm

Lol, the Broncos are my favorite team as well, but damn…Big Ben played a ballsy game. He is my favorite qb in the NFL….to play through a sore ankle and to run on it in the 4th qtr to buy some time takes guts. One of the best games of recent memory….

  195. MistahB84 January 8, 2012 7:52 pm

Heres a topic to get a few spamless posts…. where do you guys see our current warriors from the run and shoot playing in NC’s offense?

  196. MistahB84 January 8, 2012 7:54 pm

Or rather, if you could craft a starting skill position line up with our current players (no o-linemen) who do you have?

  197. Bugaz January 8, 2012 7:55 pm

Did anyone ever say which recruit didn’t show up for the meeting of local prospects?

  198. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:55 pm

    slenzi,

    I believe,

Honestly I know Tebow has to work on some things but is he that bad? Shoot has anyone seen Tavaris Jackson play for the Seahawks this season? Everyone says Tebow can’t play QB in the NFL, Tavaris was more inept than Tebow. The only difference is Jackson does not give the Glory to Jesus Christ every time he speaks so people leave him alone. How sad is it that our society can glorify Pac Man Jones when he makes it Rain in the strip club and a guy gets shot and killed, no one picks at him daily like “why is he in the league?” But Tebow…Tebow comes along and everyone just wants to find fault in him, tear him down. This Tebow negativity is just an example of the Crab Mentality on a national level.

  199. Bugaz January 8, 2012 7:56 pm

    Hoping for 200?

  200. Bugaz January 8, 2012 7:56 pm

    Oh 200

  201. mikesmith January 8, 2012 7:57 pm

    Bugaz, you get em!

  202. Bugaz January 8, 2012 8:00 pm

I am not negative of Tebow or his faith, just don’t see them getting past the next game. Good luck though! One for the feel good story.

  203. Chris Hart January 8, 2012 8:00 pm

If you plan on ging to the Hukilau for lunch, there is plenty of validated parking in the Executive Center. Just go down Bishop Street and turn right before the Starbucks into the garage. If you plan on going to this event which may or may not be on Wednesday. We will have confirmation tomorrow at 7am with all media outlets… I hope that folks can get behind the Downtown Athletic Club instead of criticizing it because these are people who want to help – we should all be in favor of that…

  204. Chee! January 8, 2012 8:01 pm

  205. mikesmith January 8, 2012 8:02 pm

Chris, is there Criticism of the Downtown Athletic Club?

  206. mikesmith January 8, 2012 8:03 pm

Chris is it going to be like the New You Downtown Athletic Club? Where they hold the Heisman awards? How much does it cost to be a member and what are the benefits?

  207. obachan January 8, 2012 8:03 pm

    kev-1

I’ve been a Steeler fan since small kid time. Hard to see them lose today but I think Tomlin made a crucial mistake by continuing to play Roethlisberger except for the Ram’s game. Batch is a more than capable back up & Ben’s not being able to heal from the injury likely cost them the game.

  208. Bugaz January 8, 2012 8:04 pm

So quiet. Usually you got a bunch of people who knows a guy that knows the sister of the father of a recruit in Maui or something saying he really wants to stay or go but his mother is encouraging him to go cause her boss’ friend and their pet doctor said this school has better pizza on Tuesday’s

Of Hawaii Warriors that made it to the NFL, we never hear about them dropping a dime on the football program. Shoot, Suh donated 3 million to Nebraska football and another 2 million to the school library.

Based on the author, I will recover the worthiness to make each inside of a couple of months. That sounds great, especially when using rising costs of an electrical current currently.

  217. Old School Dave January 8, 2012 8:47 pm

Mike: I read somewhere that Utah has one of the highest number of millionaires on a per capita basis. Along those lines, so does Hawaii, but it’s sad that UH is the only game in town, but doesn’t attract such donors, whereas Utah State has to compete with Utah and BYU. It’s not like USU is a school of “rich kids” either. I think that UH needs to revamp its fund raising strategy in order to connect with those in the community who have the potential to contribute to the school’s athletic department, much like Mr. Shidler does to the UH Business College. Just my 2 cents.

  218. tommui January 8, 2012 8:51 pm

#203 Chris – the Reg Agency database does not show any registering or reservation of the name Downtown Athletic Club. Suggest your legal beagle might look into it – or perhaps the State hasn’t gotten around to update its database

  219. kev-1 January 8, 2012 8:56 pm

207 . . . I completely agree. This should have been Ben’s first game back after weeks of rest. Instead, he never got to heal his ankle, and high ankle sprains are tough for QB’s to overcome.

Still, the defensive overplayed the run too often and payed for it.

  220. tommui January 8, 2012 8:59 pm

re. # 160 “Look at the price of housing in Las Cruces, much less than in Hawaii.”

Seriously – never mind comparing the housing prices.

If you’re qualified for the OC job, AND you are GOOD, you ASK for the kala –

    DON’t sell yourself short.

Further, it might have posted here also, that namasu’s HC got extended at 400+K.

If THAT HC is worth 400+K, then a GOOD OC is worth more than 100K.

Repeat: DON’t sell yourself short. DON’t sell yourself short. DON’t sell yourself short.

  222. MistahB84 January 8, 2012 9:03 pm

If i was rich, i would put down a down payment to start funding for a new stadium…. or if i was married to Oprah………

  223. mikesmith January 8, 2012 9:04 pm

Tommui, I agree, I guess Norm has to take his time. Penn State is not the only school that had to fill a staff, a lot of the other schools with new HCs have been rolling with their hires. It does help in recruiting, kids and their parents want to build a relationship with the position coach too, not just the HC.

  224. Bugaz January 8, 2012 9:09 pm

Well MistahB84, if you gamble, I hope you hit it big, or marry Oprah! Please please we need a new stadium. Lol

    I sure hope not!!!

  228. mikesmith January 8, 2012 9:13 pm

” Hopefully, Rolo can roll with bigger offers… ”

    I AGREE.

If fact, Rolo is GOOD; he should be able to get much bigger offers.

Rolo, if he hasn’t already, should have a professional hiring agency prepare

a whiz-bang video, showing his bio, and examples of his team’s performance.

He can then send this video out to help him secure interviews.

Bottom line: DON’T sell yourself short.

    Good Luck, Rolo.

  232. mikesmith January 8, 2012 9:15 pm

Bugaz 226. could be the case, if they are really good, they probably have an offer at a BCS school or the NFL. If they are really good and have a great resume, they will look to get a gig with a bigger upside first, then say to Chow, “yeah I’m in” if they don’t have a chair to sit in when the music stops.

  233. mikesmith January 8, 2012 9:17 pm

Maybe Norm is waiting for the music to stop, in the musical chair game of coaching, then he will see what quality guys are left over and offer them a chance for employment.

  234. MistahB84 January 8, 2012 9:18 pm

Lol, seriously though…. its really intriguing that the mere uttering of a new stadium and the topic spreads like wild fire. My idea of a new stadium for UH should start of with 2 sides both 20,000 seats each. Then luxury/coaches box on both sides right above it. Next, an upper deck above both sides with 5,000 seats each (though no upper seats for the 1st few years then expand afterward) Then at both end zones 1000-3000 seats with a large scoreboard over both sides. High quality speakers included. Last but not least, a retractable roof…but not a necessity. As for location….i’ll leave it up to someone else.

For you folks who haven’t been to the Hukilau I think you’re in for a pleasant surprise. It is a much better venue than it is getting credit for on the “Beat” and will previal for Wednesday’s luncheon!

It would suck to have Rolo coach at a rival school in our conference, but then again…we would have great insight to his play calling lol.

” Note that West Coast and Pistol offenses used by Chow at UCLA wasn’t so good. Although some said he didn’t have a good offensive line and QB’s. ”

The Pistol was installed by slickRick, not Norm Chow.

slickRick hired the Nevada QB coach to install it – guess everyone knows the results,

    or lack therof.

Mike, you hit the nail right on the head with your feedback. Hopefully Ashley and other former Football Bows and Warriors will read our comments and begin contributing to the University of Hawaii Football Program.

  244. SteveM January 8, 2012 9:51 pm

Some Tsai-kos have been to the Hukilau before. Photo archives in 2007 shows these Tsai-kos at Hukilau Honolulu for the UH-Idaho road game on TV: A-House, (J)James, Jason, Midori7, and Stretch.

As I recall, there was major function held there that season, but that venue seemed to fade from view…as compared to Murphy’s Bar & Grill.

  245. Kekoa January 8, 2012 10:06 pm

    SteveM ~

Too late to change the location. Just not my choice.

Even Murphy’s not the best, but he at least takes advantage of the side street. His fund raisers have provided over a million dollars to the UH.

He always has been an ardent supporter of the university.

  246. papajoe2 January 8, 2012 10:09 pm

I know a few years ago, the UH did not keep in touch with former athletes after they left. Maybe that is why they don’t donate to the school. A few do though, like Anthony Carter, and Ashley. Out of sight, out of mind. I hope UH fixed that problem. Seems like they have made an attempt with all the reunions.

  247. tommui January 8, 2012 10:36 pm

DON WEIR has been doing a lot of spadework getting the UH athletes alumni together, locating them etc since he took over the Lettermen’s Club.

    #242,

    Thank you for that.

The pistol is NOT the West Coast or some Pro-Style offense. It was without doubt something Rick wanted to install at UCLA.

Norm Chow never made an excuse about how it’s Rick’s idea and not his etc.

Less than a month ago most of us were willing for a change of scenery at the top.

When it happened, most of us were elated to land a top notch guy like Coach Chow.

So he’s taking his time, thinking things through, major lack of hype. So what? Thats all good as far as I’m concerned.

Tim Teblow taught me to pray. again. whats wrong with that? if John Elway can jump up and down, so can I. gotta admit though. Champ sure fired him up after last week’s loss and backdoorin into yesterday’s game. Good for Denver.

I personally like Roth and his Adjustment Bureau look. 😀

But I don’t like Santorum, former Pa 18th District (Pitt) Congressman.

    just sayin… 😀

  256. BigHiloFan2 January 9, 2012 2:52 am

    Coach Chow

“widely considered one of the best offensive minds in the country”

    I believe Coach. I believe.

  258. BigHiloFan2 January 9, 2012 2:56 am

    Just saying…

If I was a football player being recruited by a PAC 12 team, getting good writeups and stuffs, and then

Coach Chow comes along, and says stuff but there is not a whisper on the breeze,

I’d have to be saying to myself…. this guy is different, very very different.
