Remember the first week after the Virginia tech game the media said Ohio state has the offense to put up 40 plus on everyone on the schedule. What happened I know the excuse for Hawaii was the lack of rest but what’s the excuse for northern Illinois.
OSU has trigger problem. Once they fix that their O will be okay. The plays are there just poor execution.

NIU playing Ohio st. extremely well. Must’ve watched a lot of tape on last weeks game.
Everybody underestimates Northern Illinois if they have evern heard of them– very good team with a dangerous passing offense that keeps them in any game. They have been beating P5 teams and Big 10 teams recently– they are like Boise– a top dog among the non P5 teams. They have done great job vs Ohio State, but it just shows Ohio State is still out of whack. Also shows UNLV is a better team because they played a close game vs Northern Illinois (and hung well with Michigan).

Knowing why you are doing what you do is very important. Brings meaning and purpose. To the entire coaching staff and players. Know your why? You serve a greater purpose not just to yourselves, the team, the University, and to the state you represent. I pray for the players safety, the coaches guidance, and gods favour today. Especially for Coach Chow who leads this team of men on a daily basis. The burdens are many but moments like this can make men into leaders.
Hopefully there will be a good turnout for the game today. A slow blog day is a little disconcerting. Hopefully that will pick up too.

#54 I commented about this all last season. Thought Kemp improved this year with several good and one great catch against Colorado. If you look at all the drops in the Ohio State game, there were 4 receivers where the ball bounced off the body, no hands used. Do they have a receivers coach?
Also said sure missed the look em into the soft hands of Bess, Salas and Owens where the rule ” you touch it, you catch it” applied almost every time!
Ewaliko and Stubblefield came to play. Get them the ball.
This is still Chow’s team. But, I still hope Chow allows the OC full reign in the spread offense.
Less Run, Run Pass, Punt in the second half and Hawaii has a good chance to win their second game.

I’ve been a fan of sports, especially UH sports for over 55 years. I listened to the professional basketball team that Hawaii had, the Hawaii Islanders back with Stan Palys, etc., from the very beginning, and all other sports on the radio and tv. The UH football main radio man (BC), by far, is the worst of them all. I am missing the game for one of the very few times in my life, either live or tv and listening it on the radio. There is no description whatsoever of the play taking place until after the play is done and very little of that too. It’s very hard to visualize what is going on.

Does anybody remember a road game in which a Hawaii quarterback threw a Hail Mary pass as time expired that allowed for UH to beat the spread?
I remember this because of the quote from an eyewitness in The Honolulu Advertiser.
He said: “Hawaii can’t even lose right.”
Yesterday, Tulsa threw a meaningless Hail Mary in defeat that might have had an effect on the over/under.
