    PolyMom,

Sorry, I didn’t see any online listings. ESPN3 online is carrying Idaho at BYU.

Sounds like a pretty serious stomach virus if IVs were needed. Hope everyone’s feeling better.

    Prayers for the sick.

Here in Hawaii had to take somebody to Queens for gut bug attack.

Took a week to kill it. But baby spores can pop up again in the future

doc said. So be careful. Wash hands. No kissing…

  24. Dan-O November 12, 2011 10:56 am

Watching San Jose pound Utah State….at Utah State……20-7, start of second quarter.

Kennedy looks like a back up quarterback, too bad he didnt last week.

    99club #12:

Looks like Idaho vs. BYU is being shown on the deuce later tonight.

The UH-Nevada game to be shown on ESPNU (as already mentioned) and streaming on ESPN3 (assuming your internet provider carries it).

The blog is taking a long time to load for me — while waiting for the blog theme css to time out.

Scott M. if you’re on duty, this is what is timing out:

    Go Warriors.

Let’s just avoid any more injuries before we end up starting Mouse Davis as slotback.

  30. RedZone November 12, 2011 11:39 am

Boise State getting picked apart with the long ball. TCU 20 – 14 in the 2nd half.

  31. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 11:45 am

Boise State seems to be playing uninspired defense.

I think they realize they have not shot at a national championship and will be subjected to playing yet another fiesta bowl.

  32. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 11:58 am

A-Joe! Kuahiwi Ranch was selling ‘i’o pipi at the KC Farmer’s Market today. My favorite Ma’o Farm kids weren’t there today. They’re showing Mrs. Obama around the farm. Great program and vegies in Waianae.

The exhibition games last weekend didn’t have mercy rules. I guess for that scrimmage, you want Maui fans to see a full game and as many players as possible. Just don’t want to see UH-Hilo get beaten up.

  77. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 2:14 pm

    #74,

    Not unless Houston fails epically.

  78. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 2:15 pm

    Georgia looks pretty dang good.

If they win out their schedule and play for the SEC championship, that’s gonna big a good boost to BSU’s computer numbers for sure.

But again, Houston has to lose at least one game.

  79. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 2:17 pm

Wonder why Boise did not wear their blue unis on blue turf.

Trying to show that they can win without doing that?

  80. wafan November 12, 2011 2:18 pm

In MW conference play BSU cannot wear blue on their blue field.

  81. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 2:18 pm

    #79,

MWC made it a condition of their acceptance into the conference that at home they play in orange jerseys.

Off course now that they are begging BSU to stay, they would probably OK BSU wearing an invisible cloak to play football if it came to that.

  82. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 2:18 pm

UH basketball tied with HPU on channel 12…

  86. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 2:32 pm

    She got my vote…

  87. Slugger November 12, 2011 2:33 pm

    A-Joe,

I bought a sirloin steak from Michele to bring to a T-gate if you attend. I didn’t know she was going to be there today, but decided to go to the Farmer’s Market and see if the way was blocked. The APEC road warnings musta scared people away from the Diamond Head area. Smaller crowd and lots of parking. No policemen on the street directing traffic, but it was light compared to a normal weekend. I just miss the Ma’o Farms kids, but they were entertaining the First Lady at the farm in Waianae. Good for them!

I’m sure glad it’s not snowing in Reno…

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  88. Dan-O November 12, 2011 2:40 pm

So…..Big East still gonna invite Boise?

  89. Old Diver November 12, 2011 2:43 pm

If the Warrior’ beat Nevada they will have the same record (6-4) as SMU. “Fire June Jones” 🙂

  90. Old Diver November 12, 2011 2:44 pm

    * Warrior’s

  91. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 2:44 pm

    Dan-o,

No reason not to. BSU isn’t going to fall off the face of the top 25 rankings just because of a loss to TCU. Georgia’s win and the way Georgia is playing will help their BCS numbers.

Plus, they bring with them very high top 12 numbers from past seasons. Big LEast needs that to keep their status.

  92. Dan-O November 12, 2011 2:56 pm

#91: yeah….was just a mocking comment. But I can see Peterson leaving Boise, especially with Moore graduating. What else can he accomplish there?

  93. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 3:04 pm

    #92,

I think eventually Peterson leaves Boise. I mean he has to retire or die someday like the rest of us. He passed up publicly on UCLA and Stanford. hen again, neither schools really pay that well.

    Arizona will…Garanz.

  94. iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 3:07 pm

Peterson is easily a $3M-$3.5M/year coach. And I think the only teams where there would be mutual interest is on the west coast.

  95. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 3:07 pm

I would think the quality of life would be better in Idaho

    than in Arizona.

  96. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 3:12 pm

  105. Ralph November 12, 2011 3:30 pm

Tennessee down to Arkansas 35-7 in the 3rd qtr., Dooley and the Vols are 0-5 in the SEC, after today they will be 0-6.

  106. ai-eee-soos November 12, 2011 3:34 pm

    couldn’t be “happier’ for dooley.

  107. Dan-O November 12, 2011 3:41 pm

For you STAT buffs…..Stanford is 100% in the Red Zone this year….52-52!

  108. Dan-O November 12, 2011 3:45 pm

Make that 53-53 in the Red Zone…..but missed extra point. Seems we not the only ones that miss XP’s. TCU also missed one against Boise….could have cost them the game.

  109. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 3:53 pm

When ESPN-U picked up this game, the plan was to move it to 7:30 p.m. Pacific time.

    Uh-uh, the Warriors protested.

ESPN-U said it would move the time up.

    It did.

    By 15 minutes.

Slugger — why didn’t you reserve a private room at Genji’s? That way you could channel hop and watch whatever games you wanted. Guaranteed since you have the remote.

I will be home wrrking tonight so did not make any reservations. But you are well known there and could reserve a room if available. Besides, it’s much closer to the SSC if you’re heading there too.

  111. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 4:21 pm

    Hey all,

I had a couple drinks before this game, so please disregard any incoherent comments during the game… Let’s go Warriors!!!

  112. 99club November 12, 2011 4:27 pm

In solidarity with the Tsaikos who braved the cold weather in Reno, not one of my Oktoberfest Marzen beers will be warmer than 40 degrees. No coozie either.

  113. Da Punchbowl Kid November 12, 2011 4:27 pm

Voted for Kanani! Will do everyday!

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  114. Da Punchbowl Kid November 12, 2011 4:28 pm

    99club,

  115. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 4:30 pm

We met Slugger’s pal Ken today.

    Very nice guy.

  116. 99club November 12, 2011 4:31 pm

Great to see Boise lose at home today! That was a really good game.

  117. papajoe2 November 12, 2011 4:36 pm

Boise’s kicker is the same guy who missed last year playing Nevada. This time his plant foot was very far from the ball and facing left. Shank you very much.

  118. papajoe2 November 12, 2011 4:37 pm

ST, quick trigger finger. I thought you met Ken twice. 🙂

  119. 99club November 12, 2011 4:50 pm

    Oregon is fast. Damn fast.

  120. el burro sabio November 12, 2011 4:50 pm

Different kicker. Brotzman was last year’s kicker.

  121. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 4:52 pm

LaTech looks like its gonna win against an SEC team… The same LaTech we dominated at the start of the season… sigh… Come on boys, don’t make silly mistakes and turn this season around!

  122. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 4:53 pm

Brotzman was punter and kicker.. No?

  123. Da Punchbowl Kid November 12, 2011 4:54 pm

Was the Donks wearing their special turf blue unis or did they have to play fair this time?

    Sowwy, so sad for dem.

  124. 99club November 12, 2011 4:57 pm

    DPK,

They were wearing the orange uni’s due to the MWC rules for their home games. At least no one was accidentally shot by any hunters. 🙂

  125. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 4:59 pm

Apparently there is no ESPNU connection, so the coaches, media and ADs can’t can’t get the game.

  126. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:02 pm

    ST,

Is it because the LSU game is running latE?

  127. showthemsupport November 12, 2011 5:04 pm

should come on as soon as lsu game is done? right?

  128. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:05 pm

46 degrees at kickoff, 10 mph winds.

  129. 99club November 12, 2011 5:05 pm

    ST-

The lack of ESPNU upstairs may affect challenge decisions by the coaches, eh?

  130. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:09 pm

Why the H isn’t ESPNU playing the UH game???? its a 33 point lead with less than a minute left…

  131. 99club November 12, 2011 5:10 pm

Forecast was for 3-4 mph winds, but 46 is nice and mild for this time of year in Reno.

  132. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 5:11 pm

    Field goal by Chun

  133. anklebiters November 12, 2011 5:11 pm

That FG barely made it over….

  134. 99club November 12, 2011 5:13 pm

Looks like Stanford is going to be the second undefeated to lose tonight.

  135. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 5:14 pm

Is the the first time Hawaii has scored on it’s first possession against a FBS team this season?

  136. 99club November 12, 2011 5:15 pm

    Lookin’ good D!

  137. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 5:16 pm

Defense holds. Three and out for puppies.

  138. 99club November 12, 2011 5:17 pm

1420 am online is about 50 seconds behind the TV broadcast.

  139. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:19 pm

    That hold was BS…

  140. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 5:19 pm

Three plus holding penalty and out for Mo and company.

  141. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:22 pm

John Lister needs to move to LB.

  142. A-joe November 12, 2011 5:23 pm

Does any other school have their own personal ESPNU logo like Hawaii does?

  143. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:25 pm

    @141,

    So should Iosefa…

  144. 99club November 12, 2011 5:26 pm

    Nice punt. Let’s go offense!

  145. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 5:26 pm

Defense gives up a first down, but holds the Pack to punt.

    Mo sacked and still down

  150. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:29 pm

    Shane Austin is warming up.

  151. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 5:29 pm

On boy that don’t look good.

Doesn’t look like he got hit though on the replay.

  152. 99club November 12, 2011 5:29 pm

    Any word, ST?

  153. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:29 pm

I think Moniz buckled before being hit. Not looking good.

  154. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:30 pm

Let’s go Shane… Show em what you can do…

  155. 99club November 12, 2011 5:30 pm

Looks like he just went down funny and the guy landed on his leg…

  156. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:30 pm

Looks like a knee injury. Being carried off the field

  157. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 5:30 pm

Lets end the game here. I’m happy with a 3-0 victory.

  158. Hawaiianbod November 12, 2011 5:31 pm

    prayers for Mo.

  159. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 5:32 pm

Austin just needs to make good decisions …

  160. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:32 pm

That sounds like Mo is going to be out for awhile… Damn… Best Wishes Mo

  161. 99club November 12, 2011 5:32 pm

Yesssss! Nice toss Shane. Would have been there without the interference.

  162. Hawaiianbod November 12, 2011 5:33 pm

    c’mon sugar shane

  163. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:34 pm

    Bringing crutches to Moniz.

  164. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:35 pm

on an positive note, I do have to say… We must have the best punter in the nation…

  165. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 5:35 pm

Hope Mo can come back later this season….

  166. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:37 pm

Cart coming out for Moniz. Looks really bad for him.

  167. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:38 pm

I hate to be pessimistic but it looks like an ACL… I hope nothing but the best for Mo… He’s been a Warrior…

  168. 99club November 12, 2011 5:38 pm

    Prayers for Moniz…

  169. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 5:40 pm

  171. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 5:41 pm

With shane in, the offense has to make big plays. Not sure if he he is consistent enough to march the team down the field with the pass rush…..

  172. NorthShoreFan November 12, 2011 5:43 pm

This is getting to be a very strange thing. Is this how we get new qb’s? Moniz became the man after an injury….Hope this is not the case.

  173. 99club November 12, 2011 5:43 pm

    Lookin’ good.

  174. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 5:44 pm

Moniz was hurt earlier in the week so I am confident that the coaches gave Austin significant reps to prepare.

  175. 808bowler November 12, 2011 5:44 pm

No look gud for moniz……maybe acl torn. He got bent back pretty gud.

  176. 99club November 12, 2011 5:45 pm

Pass was there. Bright could have had it.

  177. 808bowler November 12, 2011 5:46 pm

    Graves Graves Graves time…….

  178. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 5:46 pm

I see we still strongly believe in going for the deep ball even when we see the rush coming on.

    Terrific!

  179. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 5:46 pm

    Pass was off target…..

  180. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 5:46 pm

Not what you want for any player, especially a senior starter… dang!

  181. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:47 pm

    OK, right ankle.

I need to take an anatomy class.

  182. Wes'side Warrior November 12, 2011 5:47 pm

Radio said it’s an ankle injury.

  183. 808bowler November 12, 2011 5:47 pm

Ya he should have had it. Right thru his hands.

  184. 808bowler November 12, 2011 5:48 pm

Ook hopefully ankle not too bad……

  185. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 5:52 pm

Nevada’s receivers are catching the ball

  186. 808bowler November 12, 2011 5:53 pm

We dropping like flies here. Yikes…..

  187. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 5:53 pm

WTF….. Can we go one possession without an injury??

  188. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 5:54 pm

Oregon 43, Stanford 30. 9 minutes left in the game.

  189. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:56 pm

    Rishard Matthews is fast

  190. Bulla November 12, 2011 5:57 pm

not looking too good for UH 🙁

  191. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 5:57 pm

UH getting killed on the read play.

  192. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 5:59 pm

    So it’s that easy ah?

  193. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 5:59 pm

dang…now its time for us to answer that!

  194. Bulla November 12, 2011 5:59 pm

    Edwards just got NUKED

  195. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 6:00 pm

    ST,

Why are we playing Austin over Graves??

  196. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:00 pm

Man that was too easy. Sheesh. Going be a long night……

  197. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 6:05 pm

    Nevada jumping the routes.

  198. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 6:06 pm

Three and out once again for Shane. Sigh….

  199. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:06 pm

It is what it is …. now the Nevada CB has a feel for Hawaii’s speed … the Nevada D should tighten up…

  200. Buffoman November 12, 2011 6:07 pm

Hey where are those guys who were calling for Austin? Calling for Graves?

  201. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 6:07 pm

    WarriorNY:

They’re bracketed at No. 2. Guess they’re going with experience.

  202. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 6:08 pm

Pick six for the Ducks. Oregon 53. Stanford 30. Four minutes remaining in the game. Fat lady is on the field.

  203. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:08 pm

ahh just ignore them, they know very little …

  204. Da Punchbowl Kid November 12, 2011 6:11 pm

    Prayers for Moniz and Satele!

    FIRE UP WARRIORS!!!

  205. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:12 pm

We need a big play to jump start. Man brown is beast!!!

  206. 99club November 12, 2011 6:12 pm

Needed that! Way to go D!

  207. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 6:12 pm

Nevada is easily winning the battle in the trenches.

  208. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:14 pm

yikes, that is austins weakness …

  209. 99club November 12, 2011 6:14 pm

    WHAT?! No interference?

  210. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:14 pm

He likes the long ball but throws into double coverage …..

  211. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 6:14 pm

Long ball finally connected. Let’s keep doing it.

  212. NYUH November 12, 2011 6:15 pm

An interesting area of corporate management is risk analysis. You assess risk and try to mitigate the consequences of any negative impact. An example in football might be losing your first string quarterback. So half way through the season you might want your back up to have more than 3 throws.

  213. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:15 pm

Throw right in to double coverage…..sheesh

  214. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 6:15 pm

If he turns his head and runs into our player that isn’t interference. Just incidental contact.

    It was the right call

  215. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 6:16 pm

    Or the right “no” call

  216. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:17 pm

lol, speaking of dont know what they are talking about ….

  217. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:17 pm

Put Aaron Brown on offense. Would like to see that.

  218. 12thMan November 12, 2011 6:19 pm

Sorry but we are not coming out of this game with a win. Austin’s inadequate experience will be exposed throughout this game by low risk runs and short route running and Nevada’s interceptions and breakups. Where Hawaii will have a slight chance is in our defense.

  219. NYUH November 12, 2011 6:19 pm

Well, at least he got the INT out of his system.

  220. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 6:19 pm

#4 Stanford goes down. Five turnovers. Ducks 53. Stanford 30

  221. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:20 pm

    Man could see that one

  222. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:20 pm

    Fumble ….

  223. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 6:20 pm

Oh look what trash decides to stick its head up. =)

  224. 99club November 12, 2011 6:21 pm

Still alive! Let’s get a score.

  225. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 6:21 pm

As Mac said on the pre-game radio show, this will be good

for the team in their preparation for ups and downs in life

later on in their lives. Would not be surprised if UH pulled

this game out and win it.

  226. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:22 pm

That’s it jus short intermediate passes mix with the run.

  227. Mad Dog November 12, 2011 6:22 pm

    Do we ever run wide?

  228. 12thMan November 12, 2011 6:22 pm

Example given with recent Nevada fumble turnover recovered by AB. All about CAPITALIZATION.

  229. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:22 pm

Throwing into coverage is Shanes weakness…

  230. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:23 pm

    Take the points….

  231. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:23 pm

lol, the ignorant one is whining again ….

  232. NYUH November 12, 2011 6:23 pm

    Nice D

  233. 99club November 12, 2011 6:24 pm

Strong kick! One score can tie it.

  234. 12thMan November 12, 2011 6:24 pm

Is Ostrowski at Wide-out? Which players make up our current starting receiver set?

  235. IwonderwhyIwhine November 12, 2011 6:24 pm

    Nice Fg

  236. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:24 pm

Seems like deep throws our weakness too.

  237. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 6:24 pm

One of two ways to view it: Throwing into coverage is either poor judgment or a lot of confidence.

  238. 99club November 12, 2011 6:25 pm

Shane threw it to the corner…I think Miah was supposed to be headin’ there.

  239. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 6:25 pm

On the down side, chilly weather makes me want to pee every 15 minutes.

  240. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:26 pm

    Lol st

  241. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:26 pm

lol, throwing into triple coverage may show confidence but not very smart….

  242. 99club November 12, 2011 6:27 pm

    C’mon. Quick turnover.

  243. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:28 pm

The QB must make the right decisions and manage the game….

  244. Buffoman November 12, 2011 6:28 pm

kicking game looking very good. If the d delivers and kicking stays good. We could win with “Tomey ball”.

  245. Kevin November 12, 2011 6:28 pm

Sitting on the tarmac right now at Kahului. Rainnow Wahine snuffed out Hilo 12-0.

MAHALO TO DUFFER FOR BEING A GREAT HOST!!!

  246. duffer November 12, 2011 6:28 pm

    What’s the score?

  247. 99club November 12, 2011 6:28 pm

    Timeout Mack!

  248. 99club November 12, 2011 6:30 pm

Make up for it. Block the punt!

  249. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 6:30 pm

    Premature celebration.

  250. Iwonderwhytheyhateme November 12, 2011 6:30 pm

I feel sorry for you mr. Laulau. I know it’s not your fault you are the way you are.

I really wish they had the Felix consent decree a lot earlier to help people like you.

    God bless you.

  272. 99club November 12, 2011 6:34 pm

Special teams: Longm, solid FG. Blocked punt for TD. 2-pt conversion.

  273. 99club November 12, 2011 6:34 pm

    longm=long.

  274. slenzi November 12, 2011 6:34 pm

Hey, you all so excited now, wow lau lau, what a game this is becoming.

  275. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:35 pm

If Shane can go through his progressions and make the right decisions he has the physical tools ….. with him it is all mental …

  276. 12thMan November 12, 2011 6:36 pm

Defense becomes our offense, when our offense will lack putting up numbers.

  277. 99club November 12, 2011 6:36 pm

Hell of a catch by NV.

  278. PowderPuff November 12, 2011 6:36 pm

DAS HOW GANGEEZ! 🙂 DAS HOW!!! FINISH!!!

  282. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 6:37 pm

Ok, new plan for UH: Hire a guy to advise on two-pointers. Hire another guy to decide whether to review a play.

  283. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 6:37 pm

may all our great receivers be open and have great hands!

  284. 99club November 12, 2011 6:39 pm

    C’mon D!!!!!

  285. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:39 pm

    C’mon defense sheesh……d went nai nai…

  286. slenzi November 12, 2011 6:40 pm

The guy running the internet link must be a WAZZU fan, he keeps jumping back and forth between UH and WSU games.

  287. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:40 pm

    Gooooo DDDDDDDDDfenssseeeeeee

  288. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:41 pm

  289. 99club November 12, 2011 6:41 pm

    Hold them to a FG….

  290. Buffoman November 12, 2011 6:42 pm

matthews is just about unstopable. That guy is what Bright should be.

  291. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 6:42 pm

turn the ball over to Hawaii…

  292. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 6:42 pm

    dang it…

  293. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:43 pm

    Ole ole…….merry xmas!!!

  294. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 6:44 pm

Rishard Matthews is very, very good.

  295. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:44 pm

Scored in less then a minute. Smh

  296. Buffoman November 12, 2011 6:44 pm

Why put a “rookie” on their money man? What’s up with that? Simple pitch and catch. Nuts!

  297. 808bowler November 12, 2011 6:46 pm

Dive….I never seen a receiver dive for the ball this whole season

  298. obachan November 12, 2011 6:46 pm

    Webster’s definition: “Porous” – Hawaii’s secondary

  299. slenzi November 12, 2011 6:48 pm

    “Poor Us!”

  300. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:49 pm

I ‘ll do a proactive post for the whiner…… Hawaii junk, coaches junk, players junk … nothings good ….

  301. Buffoman November 12, 2011 6:50 pm

Is Miah already playing basketball? He’s just not in it?

  302. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 6:51 pm

he dropped a pass … how do you get from that to. He is not in it?

  303. 99club November 12, 2011 6:52 pm

Shane’s doin’ OK. The plays will start clickin’.

  304. Eric November 12, 2011 6:53 pm

Miah drops a pass and he’s not in it? Give me a break.

  305. Wassup November 12, 2011 6:54 pm

We need a clean slate re-load of our slots and receivers for next year. (Except Davis, he looks to be a great one). Kinda rough watching ‘um drop so many and not get any YAC. – Just my opinion.

  306. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 6:54 pm

Shane will give ‘um a good lickin!

  307. 12thMan November 12, 2011 6:57 pm

Agree 100 with Wassup. YAC is major and this year isn’t cutting it compared to last year’s set. We lack deep game.

  308. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 6:58 pm

    Wassup,

It’s through hundreds of drops and missteps that the players get better. None are born losers, but winners are made, one play at a time.

  309. Committed Road Warrior November 12, 2011 6:58 pm

Fresno went down against New Mexico State. That magical “7th loss” knocks them out of bowl eligibility.

  310. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:00 pm

These injuries remind me of 2009 or was it 2008. Alot of injuries and alexander went down.

  311. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 7:01 pm

Austin is just getting going…he got our first 2pt conversion on the season? Nice going Shane…

  312. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 7:02 pm

Hawaii will be Fresno’s “bowl” game.

  313. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:02 pm

Mo’s done for the game. No results yet on X-rays.

  314. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 7:03 pm

Injuries are done…we stand strong here on out!

  315. Wassup November 12, 2011 7:03 pm

Never said anyone was a born loser. Positions need improvement. Simple observation / opinion. We’ve been spoiled to have great ones in these positions in the past. That’s all.

  316. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:03 pm

Ya fresno will be jacked up for this game.

  317. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:05 pm

Only four of the six heaters are working on the UH sideline.

  318. Wassup November 12, 2011 7:06 pm

    Go Warriors!

  319. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:06 pm

Chinedu Amadi, formerly known as Promise, would have been good this year. Subluxed shoulder ended his year before it began He’ll be back in the spring.

  320. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:06 pm

Did I mention Ellis Henderson is enrolled at UH this semester?

  321. A-House November 12, 2011 7:06 pm

3rd consecutive game that the Hawaii defense has allowed the opponent to eat up huge chunks of yards over such a short time for a TD. Let’s hope that this will not happen in the 2nd half.

Don’t understand why Hawaii plays #15, the #1 WAC receiver, man-to-man on short yardage for TDs. Edwards got burnt the 1st time and #10 did the same for the 2nd TD. No double coverage on this guy in the “red” zone?

Each time #15 is closer to the QB, runs a straight out pattern, pushes off and heads for the sideline and the ball. Ever notice that most UH WR will is much further away from the QB and basically runs a “straight” pattern to the corner; most of the time with the DB between WR and ball.

Still keeping hopes up taht UH will focus in the 2nd qtr and walk away with a win!!

  322. 99club November 12, 2011 7:06 pm

    Thanks for the update, ST.

  323. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 7:07 pm

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  324. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 7:07 pm

Sure was nice of Nevada’s coach to provide the heaters for us.

  325. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:08 pm

Is ESPN-U at least showing good commercials to justify these long delays?

  326. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:08 pm

Of course the heaters don’t completely work.

  327. Committed Road Warrior November 12, 2011 7:08 pm

La. Tech goes into SEC-land and beats Ole Miss. The 27-7 victory gives Tech their 6th win and thus makes them bowl-eligible.

A nice 180 for them after having started the season 1-4 (w/losses to both UH’s [Hawai’i and Houston] in the process).

  328. Buffoman November 12, 2011 7:09 pm

Just about all points thus far by special teams. Which has been a very nice turn around: Tomey ball.

  329. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 7:09 pm

    C’mon defense

  346. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:15 pm

    Right now d

  347. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:16 pm

    Ahhhhhh

  348. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:16 pm

If you’re gonna blitz, you gotta tackle.

  349. Garret November 12, 2011 7:17 pm

I hope that Iosefa gets over that fumble…tough break but he’ll come through so many more times during his Warrior career.

The Warriors are hanging in there despite the offense’s struggles. Punt block for TD. Fumble recovery sets up a FG. Fumble on the 2nd half kickoff almost set up another TD.

If the Warriors can keep scrapping like this and keep the game close in the 4th quarter, Nevada will get nervous and UH can pull out the game.

This sure feels like a game during the Tomey era…

  350. obachan November 12, 2011 7:18 pm

Revised definition of “Porous” – Hawaii’s entire Defense

  351. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:19 pm

For UH, too many missed tackles.

As Mike Cherry just said: “It was a completely different game three minutes ago”

  352. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 7:19 pm

I’m with you Garrett…keep the pressure on Nevada and get them nervous…good plan!

  353. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:20 pm

Need to answer the call here. C’mon O

  354. Buffoman November 12, 2011 7:22 pm

#7 on defense seems slow and out of position. Is he new in the scheme?

This two scores may be tough to overcome. Let’s see if they can score on offense.

    Special teams are on fire.

  355. Wassup November 12, 2011 7:22 pm

Is Nevada’s mascot supposed to be a wolf? Looks more like one big fat rat!

  356. Garret November 12, 2011 7:22 pm

In the time I typed up my comment that scramble happened. Oh well, 2 TDs isn’t that big of a lead.

  357. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:23 pm

Austin is getting into a groove.

  358. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:24 pm

By definition, there should be at least two wolves.

  359. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:25 pm

    Don’t recall Joe Avery playing.

  360. Old Diver November 12, 2011 7:25 pm

Austin showing a lot of presence in the pocket.

  361. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 7:26 pm

    YES!!!

  362. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 7:27 pm

  363. Old Diver November 12, 2011 7:28 pm

    TD

  364. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 7:28 pm

  370. Buffoman November 12, 2011 7:30 pm

Garret, good call on Joey. He’s running hard. Forgot about the fumble. Maybe they need to put Avery or Jett in in place of Bright.

  383. Old Diver November 12, 2011 7:37 pm

  386. 12thMan November 12, 2011 7:38 pm

I’d like to hear opinions about Bright.

What do you guys think about his athleticism and how would you evaluate him at Receiver?

  387. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 7:38 pm

I hear the band in the background. Don’t their lips stick to the

    instrument?

  388. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:38 pm

I like how Austin stays in the pocket.

  389. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:39 pm

Yes that they are and always playing hard. No quit in them.

  390. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 7:39 pm

Yikes. And then he just got sacked. But he does hang in there.

  396. WarriorNY November 12, 2011 7:42 pm

  397. Wassup November 12, 2011 7:42 pm

  402. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 7:47 pm

    Wow…Buffoman you were #200 and #400…

  403. Buffoman November 12, 2011 7:48 pm

This needs to be a stop. Turnover would be great.

  404. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:48 pm

After settling down Austin not too bad.

  405. 808bowler November 12, 2011 7:51 pm

    And the beat goes on…..

  406. kanolle November 12, 2011 7:53 pm

Illegal substitution kept this drive alive… how sad!!

  407. Old Diver November 12, 2011 7:54 pm

    #406

Yep, Aranda many times is too slow to make up his mind.

  408. Old Diver November 12, 2011 7:55 pm

    Great pass by Austin.

  409. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:00 pm

    Go for Broke..

  410. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:01 pm

    Ohhh My-ah!

  417. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 8:04 pm

    There we go. Defense turn!!!!

  419. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:04 pm

Now if Joey and Sterling can score each on long runs…

  420. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:04 pm

Looks like Miah’s on fire in the second half. Stutz is Mr. Reliable for Austin. Bright can’t get separation. Austin looks better.

  421. kanolle November 12, 2011 8:04 pm

    Nice drive! DEEEFENSE!

  422. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 8:05 pm

    NICE going #80!!!

  423. Stephen Tsai November 12, 2011 8:06 pm

Hey, it’s freezing. Cut down the breaks.

  424. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:06 pm

Finally, we are witnessing the R & S.

  425. slenzi November 12, 2011 8:07 pm

SEC folks are all a-Twitter because more un-beatens got beat today. They live for the possibility of an LSU – Bama rematch for the National Championship, and in spite of what all the newspaper columnists and sports talk radio people tell them, they just won’t quit believing that it can happen. Homerville!

  426. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:09 pm

We really, really need a defensive stop. Beautiful tackle by #2.

  427. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 8:09 pm

We need a Defensive score! … really swing the momentum…

  428. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:10 pm

    Man where the defense????

  429. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:11 pm

Man that screen is open all night.

  430. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:12 pm

    My lord 7 8 9 yards a play.

  431. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:12 pm

The pistol offense is becoming the “spitoon” offense—

    gobs and gobs of yards…

  432. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:12 pm

Defense is a bit befuddled. Can’t seem to stop this offense. If they score, might not be enough time to score twice.

  433. kanolle November 12, 2011 8:13 pm

    Need a turnover now!

  434. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 8:13 pm

force a turnover now!!! lets get the ball back.

  435. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:13 pm

They score here is bout over.

  436. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:13 pm

    Big 3rd down.

  437. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:14 pm

    Ka Boom

  438. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 8:14 pm

    Need a Block!!!

  439. kanolle November 12, 2011 8:14 pm

    Nevada holds like crazy!

  440. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 8:14 pm

Nice one Aaron! now lets block the field goal

  441. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:14 pm

Thot I seen holding but o well. Brown my boy.

  442. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:15 pm

Tight ends killed us 5 times this game.

  443. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 8:15 pm

    dangit!

  444. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:16 pm

Hardy jumps right by him. I hear a fat lady warming up.

  445. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 8:16 pm

    ARghh! … fooled again…

  446. obachan November 12, 2011 8:16 pm

How many fakes does Hawaii have to fall for this season? Let me count the ways. Aranda can’t coach and the D cant’ stop ketchup!

  447. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:17 pm

    Fool me once………………….

  448. kanolle November 12, 2011 8:17 pm

Good call Nevada… I don’t blame the special teams on that one. Give them credit.

  449. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 8:17 pm

Got to go with the two minute offense… try to leave as much time on the clock as possible.

  450. slenzi November 12, 2011 8:18 pm

I don’t put stuff on the coaches, but the two fake punts last week and this fake field goal, yeah they go right on the staff.

  451. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:18 pm

The chubby official on that side hasn’t called a hold on Nevada. He did make that call on Sila. Maybe he blinks a lot. Lot of obvious holding on that play before Brown’s hit.

  452. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 8:18 pm

Go no-huddle.. Nevada is getting tired..

  453. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:18 pm

I am proud of Austin. He hung in there and did pretty gud.

  454. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:18 pm

BC saying Hawaii can’t practice against a tight end because

they don’t use one. Wonder if we could use tight ends, too…

  455. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:20 pm

Honestly kinda throws it a bit better then Moniz. More better in the pocket for sure.

  456. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:21 pm

    Gud point ipu.

  457. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 8:23 pm

Austin is definitely getting his swagger going…LETS DO IT HAWAII

  458. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 8:23 pm

    dang!!!

  459. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 8:23 pm

    Dang!… dang…

  460. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:23 pm

    Oh well

  461. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 8:23 pm

Should have stuck to the over the shoulder stuff to the left…

  462. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:24 pm

    Bummer.

  463. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:24 pm

Good game Nevada. Mac and boys gave their best.

A few bad breaks really made the difference.

  464. PowderPuff November 12, 2011 8:24 pm

Oh crap…….you guys had us yelling and cheering tonight. Super job, guys. Damn….I wanted to see Ault wipe that smirk off his face.

  465. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:25 pm

Sucks to lose, but Austin’ performance gives me hope for a bowl game.

  466. kanolle November 12, 2011 8:25 pm

Bye bye coach Mack! Makes the decision easier.

  467. PowderPuff November 12, 2011 8:26 pm

Old Diver…amen. Like ST and others have said, Austin looked good in the pocket. Bring on those little Puupies!!!

  468. Garret November 12, 2011 8:26 pm

That is okay, UH will still be 5-5 after this game is over and the final 3 games are at Aloha Stadium. Win 2 out of 3 to earn a bowl spot…if the Warriors cannot win 2 out of 3 at home, they don’t deserve a bowl game.

Tulane is horrible this season and will be happy to get their season over with. That makes the Fresno State game the biggest game of the season. Fresno State is 3-7 and if UH cannot beat them at home then UH probably won’t deserve the Hawaii Bowl.

  469. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:26 pm

Hey they played hard and was there. Within 14is not bad. Now I believe we can great fresno and tulane.

  470. slenzi November 12, 2011 8:27 pm

Getting late here on the Gulf Coast, gotta get ready for church soon. G’nite all!

  471. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:27 pm

    Ment beat fresno and tulane.

  472. 808bowler November 12, 2011 8:28 pm

    Ya I agree garret.

  473. Garret November 12, 2011 8:28 pm

That fake FG call was amazingly gutsy. It was 4th-and-12 and the throw was made under great pressure, with a UH player almost getting to the ball before it was thrown. If Nevada doesn’t make that 4th-and-12 play, UH would have had the ball with a chance to score and Ault would have never heard the end of it.

  474. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:28 pm

I would worry more about Tulane than Fresno.

    They humiliated us last time.

  475. kanolle November 12, 2011 8:31 pm

All 3 games left played at home. Get chance even against BYU.

  476. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:32 pm

Gave up over 500 yards to Nevada. Ault was prepared.

  477. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:33 pm

  483. Old Diver November 12, 2011 8:34 pm

  486. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:37 pm

UNLV lost to then-winless New Mexico.

    (scratches head…)

  490. Wes'side Warrior November 12, 2011 8:40 pm

Good to see the boyz fight again to the end. Some hope even though bunches of things went wrong. Defense was hot and cold, same with the offense. We keep giving up too many big plays that really turns the tide. I hate getting burned on fake plays.

One other thing I hate… I hate hearing so much praise for opposing QB’s and Receivers… especially when we’re the team that are supposed to have those positions locked. And, as much as we throw the ball, we get burned too often on big pass plays. Tight Ends has frustrated us for years.

    Prayers for our hurt Warriors.

Heal up and take care of business these next FOUR games! And no fo’get to take care of school too!

  491. TYaiea November 12, 2011 8:42 pm

Yay…Hawaii wins!!!!Beats the spread. Was worried there for awhile, thought they were gonna give them another td.

  492. Really? November 12, 2011 8:42 pm

We gave up over 500 yards in offense and 35 first downs, 223 yards in rushing plus a fake field goal for a touchdown. Tough to win when the defense gets trucked like that.

  493. kev-1 November 12, 2011 8:43 pm

#480 . . . you ever listen or watch the man talk? the guy is an as_______le. That’s why he needs a cop to run him off the field.

that a-hole put together a good game plan that whooped Hawaii tonight, that’s for sure.

  494. RedZone November 12, 2011 8:43 pm

I remember Ault saying how this quarterback was going to be better than Kaepernick. He may have something there.

If mo can’t come back we will need another year to develop his replacement.

  495. btn225 November 12, 2011 8:43 pm

Anyone notice that when Austin came in, there was no excuses made about how the O-Line was so bad?

  496. kev-1 November 12, 2011 8:45 pm

you think the defense was just too cold tonight or something? they have been so solid against the run this year, especially dual threat QB’s. I don’t see how that should have happened that way. not saying I expected Hawaii to win, but didn’t think they would lose like that.

looks like we gotta beat Fresno and Tulane. BYU going be tough.

  497. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:46 pm

    Pomai:

    UH 31 FresNO 21

  498. kev-1 November 12, 2011 8:47 pm

#494 . . . that wasn’t even his replacement. I don’t get that either. The only other QB to get significant minutes this year was Graves. And recently the moved him up to co-#2. But when Moniz went down, they put in Austin. ????

  499. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 8:47 pm

Big plays off of missed assignments are correctable, big plays when the o makes a better play is another story ….. last year UH made teams pay when throwing into coverage … this year the teams are making plays against the back end …. teams are taking advantage of uh not having a physical safety ….

  500. Wes'side Warrior November 12, 2011 8:49 pm

I guess those couple of broken heaters made the difference. Nevada was smart to give us two units that didn’t work. We looked slow and sloppy on defense.

  501. cocobean November 12, 2011 8:49 pm

Austin is a pocket QB much like Timmy. They’ll get the ball out quick but won’t extend plays.

Much different style from Moniz. The Oline stepped up no real jail breaks.

  502. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 8:51 pm

Their tight end made 4 first downs and 1 touchdown.

Bobby Curan says that was a BIG difference…

Even John Veneri’s dad who was a tight end thinks

UH needs to consider tight end plays…

  503. Wes'side Warrior November 12, 2011 8:51 pm

Glad the time moved back one hour! It’s just past 2am. Actually get to sleep early tonight.

    Laterz, everyone!

  504. RedZone November 12, 2011 8:52 pm

kev-1 I was thinking the same thing. But I think Austin did a good job with the limited PT he has had. Rolo has a big decision to make if mo can’t go.

  505. kev-1 November 12, 2011 8:53 pm

i agree though . . . I like what he did out of the pocket. the int’s are probably just forcing it in crunch time.

like the special teams today, except the fake. You think after last week they would be ready for anything. But overall, awesome job by the ST tonight.

  506. cocobean November 12, 2011 8:54 pm

    498. Austin was always the next man up. Graves got more playing time when the outcome was not in doubt because he’s the future.

  507. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 8:54 pm

The coaches need to game plan for Austin at QB, he has experience in the offense but he has a difficult time with his reads. Somehow they need to simplify it for him ….

  508. Buffoman November 12, 2011 8:55 pm

The o line did not give our runners much of an opportunity to make good yards with some consistency. They did give Shane time to pass.

Special team play was much, much improved. That fake field goal was us not preparing for that as a possibility. Ault and Peterson are known for those gadgets.

  509. kev-1 November 12, 2011 8:55 pm

506 . . . so then not giving Austin the mop up reps came back to bite them in the behind.

  510. kev-1 November 12, 2011 8:56 pm

if the fans know that Ault and Peterson are known for fakes, don’t you think the coaches should know that too, and prepare for it?

  511. cocobean November 12, 2011 8:56 pm

This game is in the past. Next week is the most importnat game of the season.

  512. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 8:58 pm

The big plays the D has been giving up is a tough one to solve ….. in most cases a player is in position to make a play but does not ….. tougher thing to fix

  513. AlaWai November 12, 2011 9:01 pm

Warriors played tuff. Healing prayer for Mo. Special teams played well. Kicking was spot on. NU is a good team with talent on both sides of the ball. Austin came in cold and almost pulled us through. He has the experience to lead us to wins. He’s done it before. The character of this team shines. Attributable to good coaching. Hold your head up team. You fought hard. Safe trip home and heal up!

  514. Ipu Man November 12, 2011 9:02 pm

Tho the numbers differ, UH DEFENSE did some great stops

I thought. Just coach Ault got us on the tight end…

  515. wowlaulau November 12, 2011 9:02 pm

The two things the team has the ability/control over to improve on are the turnovers and penalties …. Those two things cost the team two TDs

  516. TomT November 12, 2011 9:03 pm

Shane did a great job. It is so difficult to thrust someone into that position and expect them to be perfect. But damn he looked good.

  517. cocobean November 12, 2011 9:06 pm

    509. Maybe it did come back to bite them. Who knows. Rolo always maintained that Austin was the next man up. Mop up is a different situation.

If Mo is not ready to go, I hope the fans don’t second guess the coaches decision about who gets to start. Both Austin and Graves have their strenghts and weaknesses. Both have their supporters who believe their guy should be The Man.

  518. 808bowler November 12, 2011 9:06 pm

Moniz out for the year. Its official.

  519. 808bowler November 12, 2011 9:07 pm

    Broken ankle. His career done.

  520. Buffoman November 12, 2011 9:07 pm

I don’t think this works against Mack. I do believe that the next two will as they are at home and “winnable”. Then if they do win and get to the Hawaii Bowl that will be the test. If they get toasted there, it could work against him. Should be an interesting close to the season.

  521. Uniwarrior November 12, 2011 9:07 pm

509: lots of things have bit them in the butt…like letting receivers go that could really be very useful right about now. Hope Royce is ready to go next week.

  525. Curt November 12, 2011 9:13 pm

Time to re-group and re-focus. Warriors, we got your back.

  526. 808bowler November 12, 2011 9:13 pm

  527. Curt November 12, 2011 9:14 pm

Yes. Mo, thanks for returning home and becoming a Warrior. We wish you the best.

  528. Buffoman November 12, 2011 9:15 pm

#510 I agree, plus, the tight end was killing us all evening. Maybe a precautious move would have been to be aware. easy to second guess, but when even the announcers stated that Ault would not kick inside the 20, one would think maybe…

  529. WarriorFan4Ever November 12, 2011 9:22 pm

Yes. Mo, thanks for being a true warrior and giving it your all…no matter what you gave hawaii everything you had…heal up and be proud for your efforts.

Thanks Mo for being a Warrior! Much success to you off the field.

  532. Uniwarrior November 12, 2011 9:26 pm

524: Both Mac and Rolovich have always maintained that if the game was on the line, that Austin is their man. Now is Austin’s time to “shine” and I for one think he has the goods to it.

  533. al_kiQaida November 12, 2011 9:30 pm

Thank you Mo for a lot great times…heal up we need you on the sidelines!

What the heck with the officials missing all those Nevada holds? Ah heck, next. Looking forward to seeing Shane getting more game reps. He looked good for someone who had to jump into the game AND with a busted up O-line AND recievers. Good job all! You guys played your heart out.

  534. Buffoman November 12, 2011 9:33 pm

Too bad for Bryant. He was a very special player for the Warriors. If Stutz can get bigger without loosing speed he could be a real threat. I am still not convinced that Bright is that “special player”. If he could block he may be a good candidated for tight end if we decided to incorporate one.

  535. niho mano November 12, 2011 9:35 pm

Shane Austin did a great job. As the game progressed you can see the wide recievers getting into rhythm with him and we started to march the ball down the field. He wasn’t afraid to throw the cross pattern and hit his target in the middle. With all our wounded defensive players in the game we did pretty good…heal-up Warriors! lets get ready to rumble at Halawa…

  536. d1shima November 12, 2011 9:42 pm

Mahalo QB1; tough way to go out.

Rally up Warriors! There’s still much work ahead.

    Pomai,

  537. ge November 12, 2011 9:44 pm

deja vu. Maybe Austin can do what Rolovich did in his senior year after he replaced Timmy Chang.

  538. Uniwarrior November 12, 2011 9:47 pm

yeah i like the sound of that – rolovich got 9 TD’s against BYU, right?

  539. Slugger November 12, 2011 9:48 pm

Prayers for Mo and all of our other injured Warriors. Bryant did a great job this season. As the song goes, “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone…”

Good job stepping in, Shane. You always have to be ready.

    Love those Warriors!

  540. longdistance808 November 12, 2011 9:51 pm

Wow. The play didn’t look as devastating as it was.

Thank you, Bryant for a great Warrior career. Your rise from pizza delivery to national leader in offense will always be a story for others to look to as an example of what can be achieved through hard work and patience.

  541. hops November 12, 2011 10:09 pm

we WILL get to a bowl. my new favorite player hardy-tuilau and edwards.

zak mauch, and d line and ostrowski haveing good years. i think polard and stuz is having a VERY good years. But hardy-tuilau and edwards are having SUPERB years.

  542. madeinhawaii November 12, 2011 10:15 pm

5-5… makes the rest of the season that much more interesting, don’t you think? We still gotta win two to get to a bowl game… If Pollard doesn’t make it back for next week’s game, there will be no returning starter from last season on Offense… There will be now core group that has played together as a team on Offense for a full game, either.

This is scary, but it has all the drama of a great new beginning. The new #2 and #3 QBs better be paying attention … their numbers could be called at any time.

Thanks Mo and all the other injured Warriors.

  555. oldtimer808 November 12, 2011 11:23 pm

I’ll make the excuses for Coach Mack but having all these injuries really hurt the continuity of this team. I don’t care what coach it is when you have this many injuries it hurts. Every week our coaches have to upgrade our young players into starting roles and it takes time to coach them up to be ready as everyone who blogs thinks it is that easy to plug a 2nd, 3rd team player into an active role. I give the team credit for not giving up despite all of the injuries that hit our team this year. I recall the first year June Jones was here and everyone was praising him for the turn around and the next year a lot of people where calling him a lousy coach. I remember people didn’t like the offense that Coach Wagner ran. We ran too much, it was too predictable, not exciting enough. need a more wide open passing attack. Ahhh these fickle fans drive me nuts. I told myself to not read these blogs but man give Coach Mack some slack.

  556. bigislandkurt November 12, 2011 11:40 pm

I can’t ever remember a team that suffered more catastrophic injuries to its starting cast than this year’s squad. This started getting ridiculous a few weeks ago. It’s just pure heartbreaking right about now. Hope the ones still standing can salvage the season.

    BIK

  557. Hilo-Warrior November 13, 2011 12:38 am

We need to work harder in the weight room. To me we have to many chicken legged players who can go down easily with broken legs. We need to worker harder.

  560. al November 13, 2011 1:04 am

yah…i, too was surprised when austin was summoned.

so graves gets the call first for mop up time throughout the nine games and is named the second stringer. yet, it is austin.

don’t get me wrong…i was glad to see austin get in the game, for he has toiled in the trenches for five years without ever complaining. i just couldn’t understand the events that led to this point when all along it was graves.

just another one of those baffling decisions or indecisions we have experienced over the years and more so this year when things didn’t come easy for us.

  561. al November 13, 2011 1:06 am

so, for sure if i were tulane, fresno st, and byu i’d be practicing my fake kick plays every day.

it seems that we can’t recognize them when it happens, we don’t have the proper keys, or we just need a new prescription.

  562. al November 13, 2011 1:07 am

    yah, sorry for my rant.

i really felt we had a shot at the upset today.

well at least for some we covered the late spread of 15 1/2 points.

  563. al November 13, 2011 1:13 am

    offense has really struggled.

lets get to the root of problem.

we entered the season with a lot of inexperience and young guys on the oline. depth became a problem as injuries took em down one by one.

(a result of poor recruiting over the past few years)

we weren’t efficient in the trenches.

(a result of inefficient coaching up.)

    now what?

we continue to do what we have been doing or do we look for some relief?

  564. al November 13, 2011 1:20 am

    i thought i was imagining this…perhaps i was.

it seemed that whenever the two rocks of gibraltar, tuipolutu and meatoga, or at least one of them as we did so predictably, rotated out…ault called a running play right up the gut in a rather consistent and sucessful regularity.

the rotating dtackles were probably told to go after the qb as so often the rb went right past then as they often appeared to abandom the gap and just go for the sack on an empty handed qb.

    maybe i imagined this.

  565. al November 13, 2011 1:22 am

i am convinced that we are not getting burned by a huge h-back/tight end because we don’t have enough respect for them.

  566. al November 13, 2011 1:23 am

One thing I’d really like to say is that often car insurance cancellations is a horrible experience and if you are doing the best things as a driver you may not get one. Some individuals do obtain notice that they have been officially dumped by the insurance company they have to scramble to get extra insurance from a cancellation. Low-cost auto insurance rates are often hard to get following a cancellation. Having the main reasons pertaining to auto insurance canceling can help motorists prevent completely losing in one of the most critical privileges available. Thanks for the suggestions shared via your blog.

The things i have generally told people is that while searching for a good on the net electronics retail store, there are a few aspects that you have to think about. First and foremost, you should really make sure to look for a reputable along with reliable retail store that has picked up great evaluations and classification from other individuals and business sector professionals. This will ensure that you are handling a well-known store to provide good service and help to its patrons. Thanks for sharing your ideas on this website.

  592. Nike soccer cleats November 15, 2011 2:41 am

The Nike soccer cleats Tiempo IV Elite’s upper is comprised of an ultra-soft kangaroo leather upper Nike mercurial soccer cleats that once featured on the original Nike Mercurial Superfly boots. However, using new technologies such as the addition of Flywire and the carbon Mercurial Vapors fiber soleplate, they’ve managed to bring the boot down to a brilliant 8.2 ounces. The Tiempo IV Elite now has visibility enhancing patterns on the heel in an effort to get teammates to notice the wearer quicker. The way Nike does this is by using Mercurial Vapor Superfly 3 Volt diagonals on the heel which increases the peripheral vision of teammates.

With the first New nike soccer shoes Elite colourway release since the inception of the boot, the Mercurial Vapor Superfly IV range carries the thought of a classic football boot with a modern twist. Nike Football Cleats have taken this concept and thrown it right into your face with this new colourway. The addition of Volt not only clashes with the classy nature of the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly boot, but it might also cause some clashes with the fans!

There are some financial institutions that will additionally look at your work history and make a decision based on that but in many cases it will hinge on your credit score.
