Delay route for JC receiver
Terrance Polk, a wide receiver from Los Medanos Junior College, told the Warrior Beat he will delay enrolling at UH until January. He said he needs to complete work on an associate degree before transferring.
Polk committed to UH in November 2012, then signed a letter of intent this past February. He was expected to compete as a receiver and returner.
In 2012, his yards-per-catch average of 22.1 yards ranked second among California community college receivers. Thirteen of his 49 receptions resulted in touchdowns.
The Warriors’ 2013 recruiting class includes receivers Vasquez Haynes, Β Marcus Kemp, Ammon Barker and Keith Kirkwood. In additional, Daniel Masifilo has transferred from Arizona State and is eligible to play this season. The returning receivers are Chris Gant, Scott Harding, Billy Ray Stutzmann, Allen Sampson and Bubba Poueu-Luna.

While strolling the campus, the Warrior Beat ran into quarterback Taylor Graham, defensive tackle Saui Matagiese and defensive end Beau Yap:
And middle linebacker Brenden Daley, defensive back Damien Packer and running back Joey Iosefa:

Mahalo to the techies. It appears the “Warrior Beat” headline is back on the blog.

Ok 2.
First!!!
That’s cool…we will have a lot of competition at WR this year
Get your work done and in order men.
Nope not first s,h π
Nope not first smh:(
Nope not first smh:(
Foist
ST,
Do you see anyone competing with Taylor Graham for the number 1 spot when practices start?
It took them that long to put on a title with no graphics? OMG! SMH!
Imua Warriors!!!!!
GOOD MORNING HAWAII!
#11 jimmy the lock – maybe the priority is trying to get rid of spammers.
tommui, in reality, it takes less than 5 minutes to put on a title.
Taylor Graham will enter training camp as the No. 1 quarterback.
What happens after that, happens after that.
Sean Schroeder needs to get fully healthy.
Jeremy Higgins is the guy who just keeps moving the chains.
Don’t count out Ikaika Woolsey. Coaches are still very high on him.
But, back to the original point: It’s Graham to open training camp.
I’m just happy the title is back.
It was weird when they went to that style.
did tigi pass those 4 classes he was taking this summer?
‘Gmorning gang-
I’m ono for a T-gate already. Missing all the old skool Tsaikos.
New bloggers- any of you planning on showing up to a T-gate this year? Would be cool to meet you in person.
Good morning everyone!
Hang in there, Terrance Polk!
If the Warrior Beat keeps running into people, maybe it needs a banner… π
Cheepono:
Don’t know about Tigi yet.
SteveM:
Ok, yes, I’m running into people.
Then again, if you wander around UH between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., you’re supposed to run into people.
As Freud noted, there are no such things as accidents.
(My parents tried to say the same thing when my brother was born 8 years after me.)
No t-gate for me this year, but will be there in time for kickoff!
Good morning Tsaikos!
GO WARRIORS!
A-joe – expect to see you at the t-gates this season, and of course, conversing with the opposing vb players π
Just a question or poll: How many of you are season ticket holders? I have been one since 1979 (except 1982-83 to finish school on mainland). How many of you are not renewing this year? I’m interested in hearing Ben Jay’s proposal to increase ticket sales.
Good Morning Gangeez!
I am soooo looking forward to that first day of fall camp and the practices leading up to the SC game.
Lotsa depth at receiver and rb it looks like.
The Tsaikogate for the SC game is gonna be epic!
Come January I hope UH doesn’t get Polk’ed in the eye.
Good morning Tsaikos….again!!!
Echoing A-Joe’s comment….Show up at the Tailgates….they start early, finish late…and are full of the five F’s π
I’m told he’s quick.
I don’t think UH recruited a slow Polk.
I mean…the early crew/grill crew gets there at 9…. π
ST – #28 – that’s almost as lame as chawan’s puns. π
JM####’s….C’mon…Chawan and ST are punny guys…. π
So if Terrance comes to Hawaii and eats dinaguan does that mean there is a pig in a Polk?
Watching the Zimmerman trial all morning. Too bad the Deedy trial isn’t shown live.
Interesting that the Deedy trial isn’t getting national coverage…
Looks like Warriors got big down pat. Big is one thing, but quick is another. Hope they’re working on quick. And just for those who may not know, the players in the second picture are from left, Joey Iosefa, Brendan Daley, and Damien Parker in that order.
The Deedy trial is getting attention. On the mainand it’s called the Zimmerman trial.
The Hernandez trial is going to be a doozie.
NotNasti:
season ticket holder since 9/68 and have already renewed by tickets for 2013
also, saw every game in my 4.5 years at UH – back then, in the Termite Palace, we outnumbered all the other fans
ST:
any other surprises for the 2013 recruits?
Slow Polk! Good one ST.
How did Ikaika Woolsey perform in the spring?
Good Morning everyone.
@24. NotNasti
I’m a season ticket holder and renewed this year. Plus, I increased to an additional seat.
#38 so mr Ahouse you calling yourself a termite.
#38 so mr Ahouse you calling yourself a termite.
@A-House and Warrior4Life: I guess asking for support for the home team on this blog is like preaching to the choir. I saw every single game during the VonRotten era too, including the 18 game losing streak. Still clapped and supported the boys. Still do.
Woolsey had a decent spring, but he had that problem in the spring game. I thought that would hurt his status. But Chow said he’s very high on Woolsey. He expects big things out of him.
The team should be better this season. Whether that’s reflected in the record, or in the performance (because who really knows?) will be more difficult because of the schedule. But, hey, that’s why they play the games.
By the way, people don’t have to explain their loyalty.
Whether you were a fan through the vonAppen years or only became a fan in 2007, it doesn’t matter. Fans don’t owe UH anything. it’s not like being a citizen. It’s UH, as the entertainment entity fighting for your money, that owes the ticket buyer/PPV subscriber.
Of course, same can be said here. Nobody can grumble about a free blog.
Warrior4Life n NotNasti
See you both at the T-gate this year? Always good to meet fellow longtime UH supporters. Great time for you guys to meet other Tsaikos, former players and parents of current players.
koakane:
I have been called many names for whatever reason over my life time, but never a termite.
yep, if da braddahs wen le go of da hands place would fall down!!!!!!
Remember those kids who played ukulele? They were called the Termites, right?
.
woo hoo !!!!!! Twinkies’ shelf life stretched even longer.
NEW YORK Β» Twinkies don’t last forever, but they’ll have more staying power than most people remember when they return to shelves next week.
Hostess Brands LLC says the spongy yellow cakes will have a shelf life of 45 days when they start hitting shelves again Monday. That’s nearly three weeks longer than the 26 days the previous owner had stated as the shelf life for Twinkies.
If I wanted to watch non-polynesians play football at the college level, I would watch Duke football.
The Termites: Jason Mitsunaga, Dean Guzman, Milton Chun, and Michael Ganab. I believe so.
#34: Deedy trial is getting pub in the Washington Post. See link:

I’m a season ticket holder since ’77 with my seat count wavering from 2-4 seats with the arrival/departure of kids. Played with the UH Band from 72-76, so I had free seats during the Price years and start of Tomey. Despite the Von Appen years, I always felt we were competitive…How many of you remember the NE Lousiana game when we lost in the final moments due to a perfectly executed “hook & ladder” play or the game we played the Fighting Irish even till some last minute heroics by their QB during the Von Appen years. If UH had won either game, we probably wouldn’t have had a “no-win” season…
Last year was probably the worse year I’ve ever seen UH play…We were getting humiliated and not merely beaten…I really had to think hard about renewing this year, but…I did.
However, if we have another year like last…I may have to join the others who basically watch it on pay-per-view, as you can always turn the TV off when it gets ugly. Kinda hard when you sitting in the stands…
Hodad – only because Deedy is a federal agent based in the DC area (?).
Everyone probably has a different threshold for feeling a sense of humiliation. Last year we saw disaster and knew that there was no real way to keep it from happening. WE looked terrible but knowing that I did not feel that we were humiliated.
What was humiliating to me was the year prior to Chow when we were expected to do better. There were games when we should have won where we gave it away and the way it was done, given the expectation was more humiliating than knowing we were going to be trashed and then getting trashed.
But, like many I am also a fan and as disappointed as I was in the past two years, I remain optimistic that we will do much better with this coach and if not, I am certain Mr. Jay will make necessary adjustments and I will still be a fan.
The hype video showed some real good plays last year, this year we will see those plays again times a hundred.
With the delay of Terrance Polk’s arrival, is Keelan Ewaliko going to get a chance at WR? From what I’ve heard, Kwamane Bowens is not going to be a WR, he will play DB and return kicks and punts.
I plan on buying season tickets this season!
i had three (3) season tickets since the chad owens, abe elimimian, timmy chang days. renewed again this year without any doubts. additionally, purchased the koa anuenue “inner circle” parking pass for the third straight year. the inner circle parking is priceless if you tailgate. i am diehard!
Whoa….someone ate all the spam…. LOL

It’s Fun being a Tourist!
former wahine kaia parnaby and clare warwick instrumental in beating team usa.
Update from USA from Australia’s scrimmage match against the USA. Aussie Spirit pitchers Aimee Murch and Kaia Parnaby held the USA batters to 2 hits in 7 innings. Jodie Bowering hit a home run in the 1st innings. Georgia Casey got 2 bases on a muffed fly to the outfield, was moved to 3rd on a sac bunt and was scored on an infield hit by Michelle Cox. Clare Warwick, Leigh Godfrey, Belinda White and Chelsea Forkin all had singles in the game. This was the 1st time since 2000 that Aussie Spirit has beaten the USA.

Is there a time difference where the SPAM cook comes from? Look at the time of the posts. If not, really, what a sad, sad life if the SPAMMER sits up at that hour literally “chatting with himself”.
Wow, what a wasted way to spend a life. Get help, life can be more rewarding than being pitied and ultimately ignored.
