Craig Stutzmann to Idaho State

Congrats to former Warrior Craig Stutzmann, who has been named the receivers coach at Idaho State. He was the GA at Memphis this season and, prior to that, served as a GA at UH in 2008 and assistant coach at Portland State in 2009. Stutzmann, of course, had a productive career as a UH slotback.

* * * * *

At last count, there will be 30 seniors honored following Saturday’s regular-season finale against Nevada-Las Vegas. Defensive tackle David Hafoka and offensive lineman Clint Daniel are seeking medical exemptions that will allow them to play next season.

Let’s hope the mic hogs and  unauthorized pre-ceremony lei givers can can do the right thing so the program can start on time. Nothing worse than long delays leaving the stadium to look like  a New Mexico State home game.

* * * * *

Progressive thinking should not be discouraged, but sometimes it is better, really, not to take the tools to something that is hunky and dory.

For instance, UH officials should scrap any suggestion of creating a men’s volleyball league of Big West teams. The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation is one of the best sports conferences in the country. Among the members are USC, UCLA, BYU and Stanford.  Those also would be the schools that UH would not be guaranteed to play if it were part of a Big West-only volleyball league. And don’t forget that it’s hard to schedule UCLA, anyway. The Bruins have long refused to play the Warriors in football. And they will only meet in basketball in Pauley Pavilion, and even that is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

And, besides, there is only one slight glitch to the plan. UH isn’t even in the Big West yet. UH officials need to stop trying to remodel a house it doesn’t own.

* * * * *

After every football game, there are statistical and play-by-play sheets distributed. We have an autographed one from the New Mexico State game. If you’d like to enter a drawing for this, ahem, green-friendly prize, please post: Happy birthday, Mrs. BigHiloFan.

Avis chooses a winner tonight.

  9. shutb45 November 30, 2010 7:16 am

It sounds like UH is trying to use the men’s volleyball team as a bargaining chip. You take us, we give you our volleyball team which gives you an auto bid into the tourney.

I agree with Stephen this would be a very bad move for the Men’s Volleyball. Its like a member of a BCS conference in Football saying, no thanks I am going to move to the WAC, MWC, or C-USA.

MPSF is the BCS conference of Men’s Volleyball. Let’s not tinker with that. Its the best place for us to continue to recruit a great volleyball team.

Ever since the AP poll came out and reported that Hawaii was ranked 25, I was curious as how the other sportswriters voted in the AP. It seems there were two Florida reporters that voted Hawaii as high as 22nd, including the Vegas Paper’s Mark Anderson. Three voters saw Hawaii ranked 23rd. Of course, Ferd gave Hawaii a 25 ranking and Tulsa a 23rd ranking. Tulsa 23rd?

ihmo 😕 hope the ceremonies and recognition of seniors happens at the end of game. would like to see them focus on the game then celebrate  at the end. I know this will inconvenience some peeps but heck what the senior warriors did for the 808 during their 4 years should honored so just saying thanks for their sacrifices and spending one last time with them should be a no brainer.

luck to Craig hope some day he finds his way back home. also sending out good vibes to vball wahines as they make their way to wafan land PNW and their quest for a NCAA crown.

I’m still asking Santa (and ESPN) for a SMU / UH match up this Christmas.

The Dallas Morning News posted yesterday that “the folks at ESPN may like the idea of Jones returning to Hawaii to face his former team.”

“Right now, it’s still up in the air depending on Saturday’s game,” SMU athletic director Steve Orsini said. “Our young people have shared with us what they prefer to do. We have Coach Jones’ preference. … We weigh all those things.”

SMU fans have posted a “Please keep the Ponies on the mainland” thread because JJ has made it very clear to his fan base that he wants to be back in the islands to play.

  64. Townieboy November 30, 2010 8:57 am

  72. papajoe2 November 30, 2010 9:14 am

I know this will get some people mad but, in men’s volleyball aren’t there only less than 20 teams? Wouldn’t UCLA be kind of forced to play UH because of the lack of Div. 1 teams? Hawaii has great preseason tournaments, don’t you think that UCLA would welcome an invite? With Hawaii always getting the shaft from the NCAA, a conference champion with an automatic bid sounds good to me. If we win the conference championship, they cannot ignore us an invite. Even if we lose the championship but have an exceptional year (like the Wahine this year) shouldn’t we get an invite? If we don’t win the conference championship, then maybe we wouldn’t deserve the invite anyway. We would know what we need to do BEFORE the season so must go all out to win the conference. I don’t really like to lose the Big West because of 1 team, and it still might be good for us anyway, with the cost saving move to the BW. Comments anyone?

  73. papajoe2 November 30, 2010 9:18 am

Retribution will be sweet! GO WARRIORS!!!!

  76. madeinhawaii November 30, 2010 9:23 am

Doesn’t a separate conference for Men’s VB on the West Coast give teams on the West another ticket into the play offs?

  77. madeinhawaii November 30, 2010 9:25 am

Wouldn’t it be more like.. MPFS North and South Divisions, with the exception that each Division champion moves on to the play offs?

Greg Alexander got injured at Louisiana Tech.

  79. papajoe2 November 30, 2010 9:26 am

    #76, 77 MIH, that’s what I thought. Why not?

  80. papajoe2 November 30, 2010 9:29 am

Against UNLV in football last year, we had no defense for their 6’4″ or 5″ receiver with our 5’9″ defensive back and they scored the winning TD and also an earlier one.

  81. SteveM November 30, 2010 9:29 am

    Hawaii Bowl UH-SMU Matchup?

A lot of “IF’s”, but I wonder if ESPN would encourage this with an extra $ million or two? Wouldn’t take much hype for this game and the back-stories and speculation would a hot ESPN topic for weeks… JJ’s Run ‘n Shoot versus Mack’s/Rolo/Mouse’s version. Mouse Davis, (before and after), JJ & Mack, Quarterback Rolo, national passing numbers, the resurrection of SMU and UH football…and all back in the place where it started: HAWAII.

ST, you’re off-base in your Big West Conference Men’s Volleyball view.

    1. UH is is not pushing for this to happen. This is something the BW Conf is looking into.

    2. BW teams and MPSF teams will still need to play each other because there just aren’t that many teams out there to play.

    3. The NCAA is looking on this as a postitive development because they have been wanting to go to an 8 team format for the tournament; with 4 conferences with automatic bids this sets up an scenario that makes this possible. This means FOUR at-large bids.

    4. Look at the Big West Men’s Volleyball programs… Nothing weak about them! Exciting competition and no easy way to the conference championshp.

  104. madeinhawaii November 30, 2010 10:11 am

When was the last time we won the MPFS in Men’s Volleyball and Wahine Water Polo?

  105. rage777 November 30, 2010 10:17 am

I agree with Ajoe (#72), if we get our own conference, the Big West would have 5 of the top 12 teams in the country. I also agree with ST that we shouldn’t really be talking about this until we actually get in the conference. And even then the NCAA would have to do something for the Big West to get their own conference.

    Last years rankings:

    1 Stanford 24-6

    2 BYU 22-9

    3 Cal St. Northridge 23-10

    4 Hawaii 19-10

    5 Penn St. 24-8

    6 Pepperdine 16-10

    7 Southern California 16-11

    8 UC Irvine 15-15

    9 UCLA 16-13

    10 Ohio St. 22-8

    11 UC Santa Barb. 13-16

    12 Long Beach St. 12-17

    13 Loyola (Ill.) 20-6

    14 Ball St. 19-11

    15 UC San Diego 11-19

According to the MPSF website, Hawaii has never won an MPSF championship. But the an MPSF team has won 14 out of 18 NCAA volleyball championships (with the Hawaii team asterisked out) and 10 out of 10 women’s water polo championships.

  110. madeinhawaii November 30, 2010 10:29 am

    rage777

    Thanks…

So by splitting the MPFS into two conferences… the existing teams for both sports will have a greater chance of winning a conference title… and get invited to the playoffs?

Yet, they wills still need to play each other because there aren’t all that many teams out there.

    That doesn’t sound altogether bad.

  112. Manoa Mist November 30, 2010 10:35 am

Thanks for the Na Koa lunch report. Terrific!

As to the possible changes i.e., WAC, MWC, Big West, Big West men’s volleyball, etc., I think you always have to keep in mind the change cycle.

The change cycle rotates through these stages:

    1. Change

    2. Loss

    3. Doubt

    4. Discomfort

    5. Discovery

    6. Understanding

    7. Integration

    8. Change

The only constant in life is change, so always keep an open mind to it. Peace out.

  115. rayson November 30, 2010 10:42 am

#103: Exactly, I agree with everything you said.

#72: If the Big West left the MPSF both conferences would still schedule matches against each other because who else are they going to play (or better put, what other quality teams are they going to play). Yes, Hawaii wouldn’t be guaranteed matches against all the MPSF teams every year but they would still play each other. Big Al Scates seems to like playing in Hawaii and schools that traditionally recruit a lot of local players (like Pepperdine, Stanford, USC) would still want to play Hawaii at Hawaii.

#9: UC San Diego’s men’s volleyball team also competes in the MPSF, so if it’s true that they are seeking to join the Big West then the BW doesn’t need Hawaii to form a 6 team conference and split from the MPSF.

Like the coverge in Section D of the paper. Intended or not, it’s great publicity for the Warrior team.

Heck, if you got a “hot” product, you push it any way you can – especially if it is FREE – just part of good marketing strategy!!

  118. roygbivs[TerenceTwkWong] November 30, 2010 11:00 am

Stay in the MPSF for men’s volleyball! Why change something when it ain’t broke???

Women’s H2O polo should move to the Big West, when invited. Better chances of getting into the National Tournament….

Funny thing is I was just talking to my uncle and he said Jerry Rice ran a 4.7 forty. Here I’m thinking Jerry Rice? The Dancing With the Stars guy?

  122. A-House November 30, 2010 11:29 am

    NCAA:

Surely you are not suggesting that what we may have is a Jerry Rice type WR next year?

When the 49ers drafted Rice #1, my reaction was “who da hell is this guy”!! And, I remember his first pass which he dropped. Of course, history will tell a totally different story of one of, if not the finest, WR in NFL history.

IIRC, Rice did not retire as a 49er – which is a bitter taste for most 49er fans!!

  123. A-House November 30, 2010 11:30 am

    hey, al:

maybe we will see recruit commit #2 after this weekend?

  124. al November 30, 2010 11:41 am

that tight end fellow…reminds me of a bigger greg salas at 6’4″/220 lbs/4.53/31″ vertical.

watching his clips he has that same mentality, toughness, yac, etc. he is very athletic and runs nice routes from the wr/sb/te positions. this past year he learned to play defensive end. he looks like a future sb/wr/te/de/dt/ot/lb, you know anywhere he wanted to.

it is interesting that he has narrowed his visits to four west va, nebraska, nc, and hawaii. he has about 20 offeres at this time. it is good that we are the last of the four visits.

he looks like he has pacific islander blood in him. i could be wrong.

  125. Pomai November 30, 2010 11:44 am

Mens volleyball to the BWC from the MSPF, let’s see how much money do they make??? If the WC put that as a condition of having us join then it’s a no brainer, they go to the BWC.

Folks we need to get into the MWC/BWC and out of the WAC, so we need to do what ever is necessary.

  126. madeinhawaii November 30, 2010 11:46 am

    Pomai..

You bring up a good point.. $$

If moving the volleball and waterpolo can bring more TV $$ to the BWC, wouldn’t that make it advantageous to have them under the same conference so that our subsidies are subsidized, too?

  127. NCAA November 30, 2010 11:47 am

    Mr. A-House,

Not suggesting at all. Just implying that what may not seem like a diamond can turn out to be a gem.

  128. A-House November 30, 2010 11:57 am

    NCAA:

I was just fooling with you, but should he commit to Hawaii and turns out to be a “jerry rice” type player, I will owe you a lunch at Camilias ( hope they don’t close ).

He may have been one heck of a WR, but not a slow pitch soft ball player – eye hand coordination on hitting was pathetic! 4 xs at bat = 4 strike out!

jm2375 I didn’t mean that they had any tv deal, they cost us money so what difference does it make what conference they are in, but if it needs to be done to get all the other sports into the BWC then do it, we need to get this done without any screw ups. We hae to much to lose down the road if we mess this move up. MWC/BWC move.

UH definitely needs to upgrade twords a better conferences or conferences. Just keeping finger cross JD will do his best to ensure it’s not an all cost deal. Agree with many who have stated UH has much to offer. Travel subsidiaries should not be the major consideration. UH has much to enhance the leagues which will benefit where ever UH goes. Trusting in the leadership team to act in a firm and fair manner. In addition the MWC and BWC acts prudently when negotiating UH membership.

  142. madeinhawaii November 30, 2010 12:34 pm

    koakane,

Just as long as they don’t use the Dobelle/Herman Frazier school of negotiation.

BWC … looks like we need 1 million from you…

D/HF… We’ll give you 1/2 million and the men’s VB + Women’s Water Polo to boot.

BWC … we still need 1 million

    D/HF … How about 750 thous?

BWC … nope, 1 million … take it or leave it…

    D/HF … 850?

BWC … This is obviously not going to work out. Maybe when the economy bounces back.

    D/HF … Okay okay.. 1.5 million + the Volleyball and Water Polo teams…Final Offer…

I was somewhat distracted at practice today talking to Spencer Smith’s family & Kaoni Purcell (?), watching a little boy with Tommy Heffernan throw & catch footballs, and feeling a bit off with this cold. Moniz has class on Tuesdays. Brent Rausch dyed his hair black (I told you you women look at hair). Brashton Satele stopped by at practice; he’s still training in AZ. http://www.hawaiiathletics.com/news/2010/11/30/SB_1130105225.aspx

STARKSVILLE, Miss. – Three University of Hawai‘i softball players were named National Fastitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes for the 2010 season. Alexandra Aguirre, Jori Jasper, and Kelly Majam all were selected for their exceptional work in the classroom.

Only 19 Rainbow Wahine softball players have ever earned the prestigious honor since the award was established by the NFCA in 1998. To qualify, individuals must maintain a cumulative 3.50 GPA or higher for the fall and spring semesters combined. Just eight players from Hawai‘i have earned the award more than once, including Aguirre and Majam who both earned the honor last season.

  184. mctruck November 30, 2010 3:40 pm

I’m reading this excerpt from the internet,(Mountain West Conference-Wikipedia), and what’s interesting is that it says, “On November 18, 2010, the MWC offered the University of Hawaii, Manoa to become the 11th member of the conference for football only. Hawaii is still going over the details of that agreement.” and then it talks about TCU’s exit plans, etc.

Looks like to me, that the proverbial ball is in Hawaii’s court?, can anybody expand on why it looks rather murky as far as who’s on 1st, etc.? inquiring minds would like to know….my mind-anyway.

  185. Kazz November 30, 2010 3:58 pm

    McTruck,

If that is the case and the ball is in our court, then UH must be considering the implications of the television deal. No one loses $2.5 million and doesn’t sweat a little.

    If they didn’t bend for BYU… hmmm…

Then again, they probably didn’t appreciate BYU playing hardball with them.

    Eh… who knows.

I’m more concerned with the solidification of the Big West plans as this information through the media has been just as vague, if not more, than any details with the MWC.

  191. Kazz November 30, 2010 4:23 pm

Is it just me, or I cannot find ANYTHING written about the UNLV game, especially with regards to what UNLV brings to the table against us.

Or.. Is UNLV THAT BAD? I mean we’re giving 30 right?

Same situation, and if anything MORE prime for an upset on Saturday.

We’re off a WAC championship clinching breezer against NMSU and UNLV has nothing to loose. Forget the potential for an upset in Logan after the Nevada game, this is SERIOUS if not dealt with properly.

Forget the rings. Design them AFTER the bowl game because we’d like to win that one as well. Speaking of rings.. “11-3” has a nice ring to it.

  192. mctruck November 30, 2010 4:25 pm

    From the Dallas Morning News: TCU joining the BIG EAST/pros and cons;

    pluses:

    1. TCU won’t have to go undefeated to get a shot at a big bowl payout.

    2. win the bigeast and powerful east coast media notices.

    3. more bang for fans bucks with opponents in soon-to-be renovated amon carter, stadium.

    minuses:

    1. big east revenues are among worst of automatic qualifier conferences, and they’ll still have to offset travel costs.

    2. going undeafeated in football just got a lot harder.

    3. men’s bb won’t know what hit it.

    Travel distances:

    TCU/Louisville-869 mi.

    Cincinatti-972 mi.

    S.Florida-1140 mi.

    WestVirginia-1237 mi.

    Pitt-1254 mi.

    Syracuse-1543 mi.

    Rutgers-1560 mi.

    Conn.-1734 mi.

On the matter of distances when asked, the BigEast commissioner downplayed that issue by stating that TCU added enormous strenght and value to the conference.

Clearly, a win-win situation is how they felt….and going from chump change to mega-bucks.

  193. wafan November 30, 2010 4:27 pm

    Geez. White?!?!?!

I thought Mack asked for green-outs this year. White ink is not that expensive.

Maybe they could not figure out which green to use?

    Dang.

  194. madeinhawaii November 30, 2010 4:27 pm

Win-Win because with TCU, the Big East maintains AQ status.

  196. Kazz November 30, 2010 4:30 pm

Regardless of what some think of the MWC’s television exposure, gotta think of what we’ve already endured with the lack of leadership in the WAC as represented by the WAC presidents failing to act when it was critical along with the missteps by Karl Benson.

I don’t think we need to be reminded of the times the WAC took us for granted. They want to say how valuable we are to the conference??? Then why oh why were we denied to host the WAC softball tourney this time around and Fresno State hosts it AGAIN???? Ummm.. Oh right, the WAC track and field championships are hosted by UH this time, but they thought we couldn’t handle it??? Really????? How many times has Boise State been given bye weeks prior to games against UH????? Look at the Rainbow Wahine volleyball team’s road WAC schedule this season!! HORRIBLE!!!!!

Sorry, with each passing day it’s clear that those of us that felt we could have moved on and survived in the WAC post 2012 were WRONG.

Look at the NMSU game. Saw the attendance and support right? We’ve seen the visiting crowd attendance for Idaho, Utah State, LaTech, and SJSU also… There is no advancement for us in the future.

LaTech will be out the door and SJSU will probably drop down a division in football.. Then what?!?!?!?!!?

  197. mctruck November 30, 2010 4:33 pm

Kazz, I hear you. I was just wondering that if it’s in UH’s court and their, “still” going over all of the details???…hmmmm? must be like congresses health care bill, yeah???

  198. Kazz November 30, 2010 4:34 pm

    First of all…

The 2010 WAC Championship baseball and softball shirts were white.

Secondly… UGH!!!!!!!! What the hell is that design????? Yikes!!!!!!!! At least the WAC Champ baseball and softball shirts were umm… NICE.

  201. Derek November 30, 2010 4:40 pm

UH coaches should upgrade the talent level if we are going to be a top tier team in the WAC, MWC, or whatever conference we are in. Speed is not everything, but it is one of the pre-requisites in looking for a recruit. You want a person who has athletic ability and a hard worker. I know what the coaches are looking for. I was looking at a clip of recruit Jamal Womble who is a 3 star running back. This guy is 5’10” and 230 which is good for a running back, low to the ground, tough, and powerful. A guy NFL type player would fit. But the must impressive thing about this guy is that he pulls away from defensive backs. His acceleration is outstanding and his change of direction is good also. He de-commited from North Carolina and is looking at other colleges. He would be perfect to try to fill the void when Alex Green leaves after this year. We want WRs to be at least 4.40 or faster. RBs at least 4.50, Linebackers at least 4.6, QB hopefully at least 4.6, OL at least 5.1 or 5.0, Def. tackes 5.1 or 5.0, Defensive Ends 4.7 or better. I long for the day when we get another stud like Falaniko or Al Noga or Mark Odom. I just love it when we sack the QB. Travis LaBoy was also great. Good luck to the coaches in filling our needs.

  203. Ralph November 30, 2010 5:02 pm

White shirts! Well I guess its okay since the school colors are green and white and the university have never come out and promoted a singular color for sports.

I was just browsing here and there and got to read this post. I must say that I am in the hand of luck today or else getting such an excellent post to read wouldn’t have been achievable for me, at least. Really appreciate your content.

  207. jm2375 November 30, 2010 5:10 pm

I have to disagree with ST about scheduling UCLA in volleyball. They seem to like coming here and the games have been exciting. Remember the 5-setter back in Katz days? They always seem to show up to preseason tournaments. Besides, there aren’t that many men’s vb teams. I wouldn’t mind having a non-AQ school get the 4th slot in the Final Four, instead of relying on the NoClassAtAll to decide.

  208. jm2375 November 30, 2010 5:13 pm

  216. HawaiiMongoose November 30, 2010 5:24 pm

Now here’s a fairly REMARKABLE coincidence: Guess whose idea it was for the Big East to invite TCU, which in turn has opened the door for UH to possibly receive a football invitation from the MWC?

None other than JAMIE DIXON, former UH assistant basketball coach under Riley Wallace and now head coach of the Big East’s Pitt Panthers.

    Story is here:

  224. Kazz November 30, 2010 5:32 pm

    “2010” is on the shirt.

At the top where the WAC logo is to the left of the WAC logo is “20” and to the right is “10”.

    Should look like:

    “20 WAC 10”

  225. Kazz November 30, 2010 5:35 pm

Could never figure out what UCLA’s problem is.

Volleyball for men’s and womens are the exception. At least UCLA, volleyball-wise, respected the atmosphere and volleyball IQ of the Hawaii fans to come every year.

    Football? Nada!

    Baseball? Nada!

    Basketball? NADA!!!!!!!!

Softball? Well, they lost here in a tournament and the former coach threw away the runner’s up trophy in the trash at the RWSS so… yeah… 😆 😆 typical PAC 10 arrogance.. 🙄

As much as I rag on USC, at least they have the olos to play us in several sports on a more frequent basis.

  226. Michigan Warrior November 30, 2010 5:36 pm

    I’m just wondering…

If there’s only 4 teams to get to the Men’s Volleyball playoffs…

And there are only three conferences as of now, (with 3 auto qualifiers + 1 at-large)…

Will the NCAA allow a 4th conference with an auto qualifier, and leave out at large teams?

Guess I ‘ll be picking a couple of championship shirts for Saturday unless Coach Mack declares the UNLV game a blackout night.

  231. Don Weir November 30, 2010 6:00 pm

Football fans are invited to stop by and say hello to players from past seasons this Saturday.

Football Alums will have their annual tailgate prior to the UNLV game in the inner ring, Section 12 or 13. Look for the white van and some very large alums.

FB Alums will be on the field to greet the team as they enter the stadium as well.

Mahalo to Michael Carter, Kelly McGill, and David Maeva for organizing the tailgate.

Mahalo to Terry Chang for helping the former players on and off the field prior to the game, to Carl Clapp for facilitating the FB Alum tickets request, and to Jim Donovan for authorizing ticket distribution to the FB Alums.

Know a Football Alum?? It is possible that they are unaware of the game events so please help us spread the word.

    We are Warrior Football!

looks like there will be a running back runoff.

first to paint the picture, we lose alex green “machine” and chizzy “make u dizzy” dimude to greaduation.

enter sterling “silver” jackson and malosi “da bull” te’o, who both literally fell unto our laps. jackson will make it right (not wright) he has that green machine style. that steven jackson power back. te’o may need a full camp and then some to get his legs back, but, when he does he will remind us why many of us cringed when he left for the mainland after an illustrious career at kahuku.

    the runoff…

so word is that we may have offered three guys who are runners and after awhile it will be whoever is first to raise their hand gets the scholie. all three are solid guys with good frames and a lot of speed to burn. but, me thinks we have room for only one. however, then again one could be converted to a slotbak.

  285. Ohhh! It doobie late!!!

Anyone here interested in a collective meeting with State Senators Jill Tokuda (Chair, Education), David Ige (Chair, Ways & Means) Glenn Wakai (Aloha Stadium is in his District), Carol Fukunaga (Chair, Economic Development & Technology to talk about athletic/academic/economic development issues?

Let me know since most Senators are already beginning to fill their calendars with meet-ups. These four – especially Da $$$ Chair – would like to hear directly from the public well before the start of the 2011 Session on issues likely to come before their committees.

BTW: We’re bringing Kirkland’s onolicious Peppermint Bark Candy to the T-Gate. DrDoc will be there around 10 am after dropping me off at a half-day conference at the Capitol and running some errands. I’ll be coming out by bus around 2:30 pm. Hope the weather clears up by then.

UH athletics should sell one type of green and white shirts…thats it.

no greys, blacks, dark greens, light greens, browns, blues, etc.

the color and identity link can be powerful…

the sugar bowl was a good example of what our fans are capable of…never have i seen hawaii’s fans wearing all one color…i don’t want it to be the last time.

dark green and white are pretty standard colors…not like we asking fans to wear Tennessee orange or something.

  301. Garret December 1, 2010 4:41 am

It sounds like the MWC Commissioner tried to bend the conference rules a little to keep TCU. I also note from this article that UH is paying an entry fee into the MWC even though BSU, Nevada, and Fresno State are having their entry fees waved. The MWC said that they would waive their entry fees for Nevada/Fresno because of the money that Nevada/Fresno have to pay the WAC.

The numbers didn’t work, even when Thompson did everything he could to get TCU to stay — offering, sources said, to redo the league’s revenue distribution and even handing over incoming Hawaii’s entry fee directly to the Frogs.

West Virginia’s AD said in an interview today that the Big East will add THREE more teams (looks like they want to get to 12 football schools). He specifically mentioned 4 candidates for the 3 spots:

    Central Florida

    East Carolina

    SMU

    Houston

If C-USA gets raided by the Big East, La Tech and North Texas might get their C-USA dream fulfilled.

Authorized retailers of Klipsch speakers adhere to their price fixing structure. The only exceptions where their warranty would be honored is a going out of business sale. You may want to look at second hand to get a good deal. Klipsch speakers are of good quality and last a long time.

  367. electronic cigarette cartridges December 19, 2010 6:54 am

The electronic cigarette is a fantastic product. I was a 1/2 to a pack a day smoker for over 10 years and now go days without a cigarette or maybe have 1-3 a day. A pack lasts me a week now. I tried the patch, the gum and chantix in the past. The patch and gum did not work as I still needed some interaction with a device. Chantix worked but as soon as I came off the drug I wanted cigarettes again. With the e-cig, I can still remain social with other smokers, get my nicotine “fix” without the carcinogens and nearly anywhere. I feel better and am in better health since purchasing the e-cig roughly 6 weeks ago.

Definitely agree with exactly what you wrote. Your explanation was undoubtedly the simplest to understand. I tell you, I usually get irritable when individuals discuss issues that these people obviously do not know about. You managed to strike the nail on the head and explained every thing with out complication. Perhaps, others can learn from this. Will more than likely be back to learn more. Cheers

Other than employment or tenant screening, I actually could not think of one good reason why someone would ever want to run a background check. I will say though that there’s some pretty good reason on the list below that I never would have considered. I’ll admit that some seem a little far fetched, or better yet, only for the paranoid, but I still found it interesting.

In simpler terms, you order the games you want online, and they ship it to you by mail. You can then ship it back in a prepaid package when you’re done with the game.
