Charles Clay gets inside job

Charles Clay, a former Warrior safety (and nickelback and receiver …), has signed with the LA KISS of the Arena Football League.

Clay, who completed his UH eligibility at the end of the 2013 season, was in the Green Bay Packers’ training camp last summer.

The Warriors concluded the second week of conditioning drills this morning. In addition, several Warriors had unsupervised workouts on their own, throwing/catching passes and working with the JUGS machine.

    First?

And indeed, it is so. 🙂

Good luck to Clay. Love to see former Warriors playing in Arena Football – a fun, fast paced, high scoring game. Wish Hawai’i still had a team.

The guys are looking good. Keep up the good work guys.

J.R. Hensley may be the “get off the bus” guy. He’s pretty mountainous.

I wonder about the Arena Football League survival…I would be nice if Hawaii still had a team.

Looks like UH is “holding its options” based upon which JC potential recruits are able to earn their AAs during the summer.

    Just a passing thought…

Even if Gib Arnold was given a portion or ALL of the $1.4 million he is owed, his career as a coach is done and I hope he can find a job overseas. I don’t think he’d be employable if he is held responsible for any of the NCAA violations…

Frankly, I don’t think Gib is innocent of all that he is accused of, so whether it’s one or more violations, he should be held accountable.

Speaking of Kiss, I swear I lost some hearing sitting in the 7th row in front of the speaker when they came to town way back when. Hearing was muffled the next day too… hehe

#7 .. These top four scandal guys seem to have done okay … Rick Pitino (still at Louisville), Todd Bozeman (10 years now at Morgan St), Jim Harrick (to Rhode Island, Georgia, then out after strike two), Bruce Pearl (to Auburn) … seems like losing is the only unforgiveable sin (a la Harrick) … http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1342175-college-basketball-power-ranking-the-20-scandals-that-rocked-the-cbb-universe/page/5

    Good luck to Charles Clay!

Warrior Dave — thanks, got you listed on the Tsai-ko Road game tailgate planning and logistics page. Good to know you have met A-House on previous Panda organized tours. So far there are 3 of you on the same tour to Ohio . I remember years back when A-House and another frequently posting Tsai-ko (I forget who now) were on the same Panda tour and did not discover each other until waiting at the airport for the last flight home.

Post here or email me if you are planning to attend any of the 2015 UH football games–even tentatively.

…and we are at Las Vegas this year. Will there be the multiple “Tsaiko-Vegas 2015” activities? We lost a lot of leadership and cattle calls/tailgate with the passing of Rasu Begasu. Don’t know what’s in store, but let’s start with “Who’s going?” .

Excitement at the Boise Airport … low cost tickets are sometimes not such a great deal … “A Boise Airport spokesman says some passengers on an Allegiant Air flight from Los Angeles popped emergency doors and evacuated after vapor and odor from a small fuel leak made them concerned about the possibility of fire.” … http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/20150612_alert_passengers_evacuate_plane_after_spotting_fuel_vapor.html

Is Coach Chow relaxing more and letting the players grow their hair out? Times have changed and a good coaches change with the times.

I see maybe, maybe 2 wins…why is anyone hoping Fib Arnold can get a job overseas? I hope the bum has to go out and get a real job and stop living off taxpayers.
Hawaii has only itself to blame. Had to hire a Punahou grad instead of a real coach from the mainland. Same with Chow….what a sad joke…
