It was an odd match. Defensively, I thought they played the best I’ve seen them play in that first set. They were digging everything, especially JP. Offensively, they didn’t look great from the start. They were lucky it ended in 4.

I thought Ramos was throwing up a lot crap sets to the outsides and made a bunch of poor setting decisions. Why set the behind you to the right when the dig is already far right so not only do you have to scramble just to get out of the way of your hitter but the opposing blockers are already camped out there. He did that several times. If he just set a hitable ball all the way out to the left…

I’m glad the men won but I also feel sick they dropped a set.

He also only set Timmer once when he was in the middle. Can’t figure out why he doesn’t set Timmer more.

I’m just tired of all the trap sets, but I guess Wade is gonna stick with Ramos the rest of the way even if they lose.

I know I keep complaining about Ramos, but he’s just not improving and he’s getting worse actually.

Timmer played very sparingly in the front row. usually 1 rotation a set.

Jobe keeps setting “jump balls” to the outside but he was clicking with Averill early on. I also think West should start ahead of Holt. It amazes me how many good volleyball teams there are. Pacific is no slouch regardless of their record.

Been trying to get some sort of updates on Wahine beach volleyball against grand Canyon but can find anything on GCU site or twitter or anywhere.

^ I mean I can’t find anything on the matches, unfortunately will probably have to wait until UH or GCU post match stories on their sites.

I know Timmer plays sparingly but there was a play where he was open but Joby kept going left left left in one play and the left got blocked. The next play Timmer was open again and again Joby went elsewhere. I think this happened in the third set. It seems that in every game, it is set him once and that’s it.

Grand canyon’s site finally updated, Looks like wahine beach pulled it out 5- 0.

WF, until Grand Canyon, the host, posts it, don’t know of how else to get it. They are the ones in charge of sending the info. Don’t see anything on LMU’s site about their match with Hawaii either.
    thanks for finding it.
