  3. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 7:15 pm

Radner in for Holt, Mo in for Zarkovic.

  4. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 7:21 pm

UH up 15-14 at the TTO

  5. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 7:34 pm

UH was down 23-21. Warriors tied at 24-24.

  6. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 7:36 pm

Ace by Sedore gives UH the lead at 25-24. TO USC

  7. warriorfan February 4, 2015 7:40 pm

WOw what a huge mistake by Kanetake, ugh.

  8. warriorfan February 4, 2015 7:44 pm

Defense must be better, I know Christensen is a good setter but come on, just one dig all that first set, unacceptable.

  9. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 7:44 pm

    it was. USC wins 28-26

  10. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 7:45 pm

    8. he is the national team setter so what?

  11. warriorfan February 4, 2015 7:52 pm

How long will Siki be out, maybe not smart for him to have played against UCI. UH needs his passing/serving more than anything.

  12. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 7:53 pm

SC rolling on a 4-0 scoring run. SE by SC. ties it at 9.

  13. warriorfan February 4, 2015 7:58 pm

Radner looks lost on the block. He needs to pick it up and Kanetake too.

  14. warriorfan February 4, 2015 8:03 pm

Can’t believe how many overpasses UH has botched, those are supposed to be easy points.

  15. warriorfan February 4, 2015 8:11 pm

Micah setting the middle on off passes is why he’s so good. Radner should not serve ever again!!

  16. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 8:13 pm

Hawaii hanging in. Sedlore with 10 kills It’s 24-23.
Lift on UH. USC wins 25-23

  17. warriorfan February 4, 2015 8:15 pm

Ok mol is a beach player, he should know to bump set that, ugh. Two really bad mistakes have cost UH both sets.

  18. islandman February 4, 2015 8:21 pm

Can’t believe Micah is a senior. Seems like he left Hawaii only about 2 years ago.
I haven’t seen him for awhile, so didn’t recognize him right away with his short hair.

  19. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 8:23 pm

Holt in for Set 3, replacing Radner

  20. JustSaying February 4, 2015 8:27 pm

Very frustrating and disappointing to listen to Kanoa Leahey and Chris McLachlin continue to gush over USC and Christenson. Very one-sided point of view by those two. They seem star-struck by USC.

  21. warriorfan February 4, 2015 8:37 pm

Jennings needs to set Taylor every time he’s in the front. Really wish UH had better middles so Taylor could play opposite, he’s amazing.

  22. warriorfan February 4, 2015 8:40 pm

At least Jennings is serving tougher now. Needs to work on his serve a lot though. But he’s the best underclassmen setter in the nation IMO.

  23. warriorfan February 4, 2015 8:47 pm

Wow that’s like 5- 6 overpasses that UH can’t put away. ridiculous.

  24. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 8:56 pm

Argh, UH was up 24=21. USC closes to 24-23.
Christenson with the SE. UH wins 25-23

  25. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:04 pm

nice match for Sedore so far, 18 kills, one off his career high
    Averill 12-0-16
Holt on a service overpass and UH up 6-2

  26. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:07 pm

Ace for Hartley, makes it 10-5 UH in Set 4. TO USC

  27. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:14 pm

UH up 15-9 at the TTO. Averill a ridiculous 13=0=17. Sedore 18-4-29.

  28. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:22 pm

    Tuileta blocked. UH’s 9th block. it’s 23 -15
and now 24-15. set point in Set 4

  29. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:25 pm

UH wins on an SC SE. 25-17. on to Set 5

  30. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:37 pm

couple of sloppy plays and SC leads 8-7 at the changeover.

  31. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:41 pm

    UH up 10-9. TO SC

  32. Brandon February 4, 2015 9:41 pm

Howcome siki isn’t playing. Is he injured?

  33. Brandon February 4, 2015 9:44 pm

This is UH weakest rotation. We need to score points without averill. Come on UH, you can do this

  34. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:45 pm

USC with an antenna violation. It’s 14-12. TO SC

  35. Brandon February 4, 2015 9:45 pm

Ferguson is a classy guy. Game point and he nods that yes, It did touch the net. Most teams would yell and protest. He just gained a fan from me. One of the best things I’ve ever seen watching collegiate volleyball from an opposing coach on such a clutch play

  36. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:47 pm

    32. thought I mentioned Zarkovic was out with an ankle injury in the original post.
    It’s 14-13 TO UH

  37. Brandon February 4, 2015 9:48 pm

My apologies cindy. Didn’t see it

  38. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:49 pm

    it’s 14-14 on Tuileta’s kill

  39. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:50 pm

    35. Fergie is a good guy. it’s 15-15.

  40. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:50 pm

Sedore goes wide. SC up 16-15. TO UH

  41. warriorfan February 4, 2015 9:50 pm

Sedore is not clutch too bad Averill is not in.

  42. warriorfan February 4, 2015 9:56 pm

Well thank god Taylor Averill got in, Im really worried about the second middle position. This team has everything except a good second middle.

  43. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 9:56 pm

some people need to let the match play out.
    UH wins 20-18

  44. Brandon February 4, 2015 9:56 pm

HAWAII WINS ON A BLOCK!!! YEEEEEEESSS.

Its so weird. The wahine have an “off” (by off I mean not winning big west, but still making tournament, which is still amazing)

But now the warriors look like legit mpsf and national champs

  45. warriorfan February 4, 2015 9:59 pm

It’s not weird. this is UH”s year. Taylor and Brook are seniors, they will be HUGE losses next year.

  46. Brandon February 4, 2015 10:02 pm

Not saying its weird that the men team is doing good. I fully expected them too. Just that the parallel was weird. Better word would of be coincidence.

  47. warriorfan February 4, 2015 10:12 pm

Hope hartley keeps playing like this, if Siki will continue being out.
MVPS for me were Hartley, Averill, Jennings and Brook, Hard to choose one.

  48. Cindy Luis February 4, 2015 10:18 pm

Great match by the team, highlighted by Sedore’s season=high 22 kills and Averill’s 17-1-25 night. That’s 64 percent. PLUS the solo stuff of Feathers to end it.
UH finishes with a 12.5-8.5 edge in blocks. 8-4 in aces.

  49. islandman February 4, 2015 10:29 pm

Who is the UH player that had surgery on his knee and was using crutches ?

Who is the young lady in the huddles with Charlie, Milan and Spencer ? Thanks.

  50. rayson February 4, 2015 11:29 pm

Awesome win tonight. I always thought this team, if they play to their potential and eliminate their errors they could beat anyone; but then I read this morning’s article that Siki was probably not going to play and my heart sank. They managed to pull out a win any way. awesome.

I thought from the very beginning of the season that the 2nd middle was going to be Hawaii’s weak spot. Vaughn Wellenreiter is still not listed but at least he was practicing wuth the team during the warmup. I take that as a sign that he’s at least closer to be eligible to play.

  51. karmady February 5, 2015 2:59 am

Honestly, warriofan reading your comments you’d think they lost. And to rayson too, 2nd middle isn’t ‘weak,’ Holt leads the team in blocks per set, and Radner is doing a good job with Holt’s injury. It’s not all about offense all the time, yanno.

I think the addition of Milan Zarcovic to the coaching staff has made the difference. Plenty of international experience at a high level of competition – translates to wins. Well done, Warriors!

  52. CEM February 5, 2015 3:13 am

49… Opposite, Iain McKellar on crutches after torn meniscus fixed yesterday. Expected to medical red shirt this season.

  53. 'ohanaInBellingham February 5, 2015 7:08 am

    49. Islandman: I have been wondering that as well. She didn’t travel with the team to UCI.

  54. jm2375 February 5, 2015 8:45 am

#49 – The injured player is Iain McKellar. I believe, but I could be wrong, that the girl is the team manager.

Great game last night. Really good crowd for a weeknight game.
After the game, Brook Sedore came over and thanked the crowd with the “I’m not worthy” bow. 😀

rayson and warriorfan may be the same person. just ignore them

  55. Cindy Luis February 5, 2015 9:23 am

    53. Student manager. doesn’t travel.
