What are ticket prices gonna be?

Hope Emily and Kanani make the roster. What’s going on with Kanani? Anyone know?

  3. LC May 17, 2014 6:38 pm

Don’t know why any Wahine would play in this match.

Kanani and Hartong haven’t even trained with USA. This is Brazil, USA’s # 1 foe and I expect the roster to be made up from players presently on the National team roster. I don’t see them throwing some newbie into the mix.

    4. ^ you aint fooling anyone with that new “name”

  6. formerlywarriorfan May 17, 2014 8:33 pm

    3. Why wouldn’t they play? they are both better than Kim Hill who played a lot last summer

  7. volleyball fan May 17, 2014 11:13 pm

I wish the match would be shown online even on a delayed basis. At least I pleaded with the USA team manager to do so and he forwarded my request to the communications department, but he could make no promises. I received an email about this one day after I bought my airline ticket to the mainland so I can’t see the matches in person. Let’s hope they will show them online.

Is UH trying to find a new team/tournament to play for the fourth weekend because I noticed Hawaii is not on Pepperdine’s schedule?

  9. volleyball fan May 18, 2014 12:09 pm

If anyone wants the match to be televised and shown online, please let USA Volleyball know so they’ll be aware there is interest. You can email Gary Moy at gary.moy@usav.org. Thanks to the devoted fans.

CL / WF forgetting to dot da ‘i'(s) and cross da ‘t'(s)..

Aug. 29. Arizona State, San Diego State and Ohio University are in the year’s first tournament at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The following weekend, 2012 NCAA runner-up Oregon will be here with New Mexico and St. John’s.

The third weekend: UCLA, Utah State, and San Francisco will be here.

Pepperdine is a “NO GO”. Sorry Wahine fans; it might be just as well.

I sure hope the the blame now doesn’t shift to the retired (and in good standing) Ann Miller for jumping the gun.
It might be just the excuse people need to “save face”. 😉

    A hui hou.
    🙂

  11. Cindy Luis May 18, 2014 6:26 pm

    10. as usual, don’t know what you mean, especially about Ann Miller.

  12. Cindy Luis May 18, 2014 6:27 pm

    3. LC, agree, only player with Hawaii ties in the mix would be Tamari Miyashiro.

  13. Brandon May 18, 2014 6:45 pm

Hartong and danielson won’t play IMO. Hartong has a shot in the future, but as of now no. Karch will use the A-Team for this match. People like foluke, harmotto, thompson, hooker, larson etc will probably play. But I will say this, with training, hartong definitely has the potential to play with these ladies

    4. You really can’t help posting this lists, huh?

  15. Hot May 18, 2014 8:05 pm

    6. Because they are not part of the US national team program right now. Hill is a better passer than Hartong. I don’t think Hartong’s passing (based on her collegiate play) is good enough for international competition.

  16. Cindy Luis May 18, 2014 8:13 pm

    13. yes, because they aren’t part of the program right now.
    15. agree.

13, Hooker was sent home, still out of shape after giving birth.

  18. Tiki808 May 19, 2014 12:27 pm

Why don’t you send me some tweet on who will be there?

  19. Tiki808 May 19, 2014 12:29 pm

  20. volleyball fan May 19, 2014 2:36 pm

    17. I figured that Hooker wasn’t in shape yet after the birth of her baby. But how did you know for sure she was sent home? USA Volleyball didn’t mention it on its website. Just curious.

  21. Brandon May 19, 2014 2:47 pm

    20. I know she was sent home from her pro team, but I didn’t hear anything about the usa team

  22. Cindy Luis May 19, 2014 3:03 pm

Hooker not with Team USA. She wasn’t on the roster for the last competition which was last weekend’s NORCECA World Championship Qualification Third-Round Pool O Tournament at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Most of the ‘veterans’ were not on the roster. Hooker’s baby girl was born last December.
