UH men's volleyball discussion
Lost on the bottom of the Taylor thread some worthy talk on men’s volleyball
Some of it was prompted by the change in arena seating for MVB. As of now, all seats are in the lower bowl.

Does anyone know how many people fit in the lower bowl vs. the upper bowl.
I have a feeling the Men’s team will be very good this year and hope that the attendance will go up as a result. It would be nice if they regularly draw 5-6k again similar to the Wahine crowds.
Maybe they should make it general seating again. First come first serve. It didn’t hurt during the Yuval rock star years with multiple sell outs. Fans and arena people made it work.
A lot of sellouts with General Seating. Maybe that’s what the Men are trying to do; General Admission for the upper bowl.
I think this is a great idea and hopefully it will make for a better atmosphere at the Stan Sheriff.
What do people think the lineup will look like this year? Here’s mine
OH1: Zarkovic
OH2: Olsen
OPP: Sedore
M1: Holt
M2: Averill
S: Ramos
L: Kanetake
OH: Zarkovic
OH/OPP: Sedore/Mol (not sure who I would play on the right)
MB: Averill & West
S: Franciskovic
L: Komisarek
Re:5 i agree with that lineup and I would make Mol opposite, he just looks like he hits the best from there in his recruiting videos and sedore was a beast on the left in the last game at BYU.
General Admission was proposed but was shot down, as was “flipping” the court, so the benches would be on the same side as in basketball (looks better on TV).
Unless there’s demand, I think the upper bowl will be closed for all the games.
I will say again, don’t forget that the PSC is tax-deductible.
Thank you for the new post Cindy!
By the way what happened to Nick West? Is he graduating this Fall?
7. West is on the roster.
#8 – Nick West changed his number. I missed it the first time around when I looked at the roster.
I think I might have read something somewhere that he wasn’t going to be with the team this year, but at any case I stand gladly corrected.
More so because of which, I now am actually looking forward to this season. The team looks to have a good core coming back from last season, but their only weakness as far as position by position seems to be at Libero.
Also, another huge thing i’m hoping for is that the team will be stronger mentally, with most having a year’s experience under their belts already. At least there will be something to look forward to after the women’s season is over.
All I know is he is on the roster. But so is Maulia Labarre. and we know that is wrong. Siki’s dad is the new assistant coach as mentioned previously.
BY the way I think that isreali player that Charlie scouted and found in Israel, is actually enrolled at Irvine, those leeches!!
Maulia is in the same position he was last year, volunteer asst coach.
