The Beach on a 6-0 run after UH scores the first point. Last point coming on a solo stuff of Zarkovic by Crabb.
Sedore blocked twice already. it’s 6-1. TO UH.

  2. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:14 pm

It’s 9-1, Fey in for Zarkovic. some of that for passing purposes. The Beach was targeting Zarkovic on the serve.

  3. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 7:17 pm

    Ramos is starting off horribly!

  4. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:19 pm

The Beach up 15-6 at the TTO. UH hitting negative .400 with just 1 kill, The Beach .455 and 4 blocks

  5. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 7:23 pm

Damn west will be missed big time this series!

  6. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:23 pm

Holt stuffed. It’s 18-8. TO UH. this is the rotation that put UH in a deep hole to start the match with Olbright serving.

  7. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:28 pm

Long Beach libero is Andrew Sato, comes from quite a volleyball family. Dad is Gary, current Japan men’s coach; uncle Eric played in two Olympics, aunt Liane played for San Diego State and in two Olympics.

  8. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 7:29 pm

They look so lethargic out there no emotion and ramo’s location all over the place and too low long beach block is reading him easily.

  9. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:32 pm

Not crazy about this lineup. We’ll have to see what happens in Set 2. The Beach wins 25-17 and it wasn’t that close

  10. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:34 pm

    8. don’t think it’s all on Ramos. The passing hasn’t been great. Zarkovic definitely underestimated how well Crabb jumps.

  11. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:35 pm

    UH hit 435 to UH’s negative 107
    The beach with 6.5 blocks, UH 3. UH 2 aces, 2 SE, 49ers 0 aces, 6 SEs. Crabb 6-1-10. Sedore 3-3-10.

  12. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:36 pm

Franciskovic back in to set, they are going with Fey, Sedore, Averill, Olsen Kanetake, who is in for Holt.

  13. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:39 pm

Agree that they look lethargic. The Beach up 5-2

  14. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:42 pm

UH blocked twice in a row. The Beach leads 11-4. TO UH

  15. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 7:44 pm

They look terrible, serving easy and still missing a lot.
    Just frustrating.

  16. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 7:45 pm

Time to take Olsen out , hes done nothing since psu match.

  17. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:49 pm

The Beach leads 15-10 at the TTO

  18. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:51 pm

WF, a little harsh don’t you think? nothing since the PSU match which was all of 2 matches ago. Besides he had 13 kills against UCLA

  19. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:53 pm

Zarkovic back in for Fey to serve

  20. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 7:58 pm

Mol into serve for Averill, gets an ace. Kill by Siki and UH has closed to 22-20. TO Beach

  21. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:02 pm

The Beach scores three straight to end it, 25-20. A little surprised the Franciskovic went to Zarkovic three times on the last play.

  22. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 8:04 pm

What is going on with Siki? He looks out of it ,is he sick or something? At least they showed a bit of a pulse but they are getting spanked at home.

  23. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:06 pm

Don’t know what’s up. but agree with you.
UH hit .286, now out of negative (089) for the match.
    Sedore 7-4-19, Fey 5-2-9. UH 4 aces, 7 SEs (5 in Set 2) 6 blocks
The Beach hit .500 in Set 2, 3 aces, 9 SEs, 10.5 blocks.
    Crabb 8-3-10. Satterfield 6-0-10.

  24. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:13 pm

Ramos back in to set, Etim-Thomas starting at middle for Holt

  25. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 8:17 pm

This team is a mess tonight!
When is Wade gonna get sedore and mol both on the court

  26. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:20 pm

Good question but it goes beyond subbing one player for another. Gotta look at passing schemes, blocking match ups.

  27. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:21 pm

They did tweak it a little with Averill hitting the D out of the back row. It’s 11-5 Beach

  28. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:22 pm

The net violations are killing UH. Think it’s been Etim-Thomas the last 2 times. 12-8 Beach

  29. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:26 pm

The Beach leads 15-10 at the TTO, the last on Sedore’s third service error. UH has 10 SEs.

  30. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:29 pm

Olsen with an ace, has UH on a 3-0 run. it’s 15-13. TO 49ers

  31. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:31 pm

On stat to note: 49ers without a block in Set 3.

  32. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:31 pm

Ramos in on a block, Fey on the overpass and it’s 15-15

  33. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:33 pm

The 49ers with a 3-0 run of their own, take a 18-15 lead. TO UH.

  34. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 8:34 pm

Ok good serving by olsen but then two quick silly errors ugh! Averill had been disappointing tonight.

  35. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 8:38 pm

Ok this is over west is a huge loss, holt and etim thomas just can’t compare and whatever is wrong with Siki hope he gets over it fast he needs to be out there.

  36. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:41 pm

Beach pulling away at 23-19. TO UH.
    35. 49ers were ranked No. 1 to start the season for a reason and Crabb reigning national player of the year. Some credit should go to them for the way UH is playing.
But agree West not in a huge loss.

  37. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:42 pm

Mol into serve at 23-20. now 23-21 on 49er HE.

  38. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 8:44 pm

Sedore serves long to end it 25-22

  39. Warriorfan January 16, 2014 8:45 pm

This was embarassing! long beach is good but UH is at home and they should put up more of a fight.

Was hoping brook would be more consistent this season to make all american but he still makes way too many hitting and especially service errors at crucial times too!

  40. Cindy Luis January 16, 2014 9:06 pm

    39. seriously? the season is 4 matches old.
Sedore 16-6-38. considering he was 7-4-19 after Set 2 thought he played himself out of a slump when adjusting to two setters.

  41. Tiki808 January 16, 2014 11:15 pm

    40. Seriously? 39? Two short players for UH in the game. What else can UH do? Not anything with them 2 short players.

  42. Oahu Resident January 17, 2014 7:46 am

What is the issue with West? Injury?
