    Thanks for the info.

Also Cindy something is wrong with the link you provided. I clicked on it and it took me to a Star Advertiser webmail (Microsoft Exchange/Office Outlook Web access) login page.

give it another try. I clicked and it went right to UH site
    hawaiiathletics.com.

So quite a number* will have to play 2X that day, with the sand team playing Florida International at 9:30 in the morning. Also, the sand tournament the next day with FIU, Chaminade, & HPU.

*sand roster includes- Croson, Long, Longo, Vorster, Kastl, Mendoza, Manu-Olevao, & Spieler

Chances are Croson, Longo, and Vorster wouldn’t play much of the indoor game vs Tech as the coaching staff knows what they can do. Long, Kastl and Manu-Olevao would most like play at a couple positions and play more significant minutes.

Medonza and Spieler are DS so they would have limited time anyway.

The link does go to a office outlook page. It’s supposed to redirect to the hawaiiathletics.com but doesn’t unless you have access to the outlook account(my guess).

Thanks Cindy! Knew you’d get us the match info in good time. Don’t think it was in the Wed. paper.

  7. Cindy Luis February 28, 2013 7:13 am

Sorry for the problems but every time I click on it, it goes to the UH site.

Since the SID didn’t send the info out until Wednesday at 1030 a.m. it wouldn’t have been in Wednesday’s paper. should be in there today.

As for the indoor match, it is unlikely that Hartong will play. she is rehabbing an ankle problem.

    Cindy
The Big West Women’s Basketball Tournament is March 13-16 at Anaheim CA. Doesn’t this mean Adolpho probably will not be available for the March 15 volleyball match with Texas Tech leaving only Vorster and Tuaniga at MB. Also who do you think will be the backup setter for Uiato for the match?

  9. link checker February 28, 2013 8:50 am

Link is incorrect. If you hover over it without clicking the the https address shows webmail.staradvertiser.com…

  10. Cindy Luis February 28, 2013 1:06 pm

as i said, when I click on it, it goes to UH

As for Adolpho, her commitment is to basketball so she won’t be here for Texas Tech

Good question about a backup setter.

  11. mauna February 28, 2013 1:22 pm

Backup setter – Hartong. Joking that’s on Kevin Wong, Longo played HS as a setter.

  12. warriorfan February 28, 2013 2:27 pm

Its texas tech, the wahine’s second team could probably beat them…

  13. Cindy Luis February 28, 2013 2:38 pm

Don’t think you’ll see Hartong playing in spring. still rehabbing her ankle.
as for blaming Wong for there not being a second setter? don’t think it’s his fault that Stauber has left.
I could see Longo setting if needed.

I see one tired out Wahine team against Texas Tech as some will play Sand Vollyball during the day.How did it happen to fall on the same day with Sand Vollyball.

  16. mauna February 28, 2013 7:25 pm

Cindy I’m joking, I’m not blaming Kevin Wong at all. On a OC16 post game show Kevin made a comment that Hartong played LOH, ROH, MB so maybe she can play setter.

  17. mainlandgal February 28, 2013 7:46 pm

Cindy, is there more info on the Sand Volleyball Team/Roster? How are the teams matched up? How do they look this season, being Wong’s second season with a new Asst Coach in Meyer? Seems as tho there’s a ton of new talent!? Could prove to be a great season for the Wahine Sand Volleyball!!

  18. roofer68 February 28, 2013 9:09 pm

Old news but a non mention that I haven’t seen on this blog. USA Volley Facebook has photos of the matches of the last day (Feb 24) posted. 48 players selected, evidently only Mita and Tai made the cut. Tai Blue38 is in photos 12,13,50 and Mita Pink27 in 56,78,100 and 101.

  19. Cindy Luis March 1, 2013 6:09 pm

Kazu, I don’t think you’ll see a lot of cross over on the 15th. the move has been away from having indoor play sand. They have plenty of sand-only players to fill five matches.

  20. Cindy Luis March 1, 2013 6:41 pm

Mainlandgal, roster has been up on the UH website. hawaiiathletics.com haven’t seen who has paired up with whom. and haven’t seen any practices.
