Preview sneak peek

This is why I leave photos to the professionals. Jamm Aquino is one of the best I’ve every worked with. It’s amazing what he can do, especially given time restraints.

We only had 30 minutes each on Wednesday and Thurday to shoot 16 players for next week’s preview. Don’t know how many other photogs could have done the job so quickly and beautifully.

If you remember our VB Guide takeoff on TV Guide a few years ago that had Jamie Houston on the cover parodying So You Think You Can Dance… he shot the entire magazine, with one exception, in four hours. Lot of work involved when setting up shots and props.

thank you Jamm!

That’s an interesting choice for Olivia’s pose since she’s not known as a serving specialist.

Look imaginatively and you can see the number 40.

For those with no imagination, her head, body and right arm makes a 4 and the ball is 0

One thing Shoji does do is keeps the player(s) in that has the potential to be All American in volleyball. Need to have the numbers to show. Good for the program.

    3. we had them doing various poses for a graphic. But she is working on her serve. never know when she’ll have to do so when they run out of subs.
as mentioned, the 6-3 Huff tried to pass herself off as libero to our photog.

We’ll see next week’s tournament how it all pans out, but on Hawaii News Now, Mike Cherry says that Nikki will be out next week and maybe ready by either the second or third week of tournament play. Says she’s currently at 35%. The Sunday match with SDSU, the Wahine will be without their two starters from last season.

    9. Since Taylor hasn’t been cleared to practice, it never looked like she would be back for the opening weekend. So, yes, since Manu-Olevao doesn’t play Sundays, they are missing two starters from last year.
