The US got smoked, served off the court.
pretty much been the tale of this competition.
Well, at least the USA woman won in both arenas today, the quarterfinals of the Pan Am Games against Cuba and the first of the five finals of the FIVB Grand Prix in Omaha. How come you don’t mention the accomplishments of the women’s USA team? It would be nice to share some good news to overshadow the bad news from the men’s team.
maybe it’s because there are no current hawaii ties on the women’s roster.
get off her back. this is a local blog about our local team and local players.
I lost all interest in the US womens national team when Hooker, Tom and Bown left. The current players just don’t interest me, Karsta Lowe does a bit and I’ll pay more attention if she makes the olympic team.
The men with Micah, Shojis and Averill just interest me more.
I agree…with no current UH alumnae on the USA roster, I am not very interested in the team right now…even if they are #1 and winning. They have local girl, Tama, on the team, but she rarely plays…and honestly, I would be more interested in a UH alumnae than a local girl for some reason. I feel more loyal and interested in someone that has a loyalty to the UH and is representing our university. Not shagging Tama, but just saying I would be more interested if Hartong was on the team vs Tama.
4-6: Thanks for the explanations. Now I understand.
3. I’ve mentioned the women’s senior team, just haven’t been following them as much as the men. they do have Miyashiro who hasn’t played that much.
as for the Pan Ams, no Hawaii tie so didn’t see the need.
The Hawaii tie is the usual reason for posts regarding non-UH stuff.
