Sedore’s kill wins it. 26-24.
great save by Franciskovic helps UH convert, soft shot by Zarkovic makes it 7-4. TO PSU
2 aces by Russell has pulled PSU to 13-10. TO UH
Bad no call by the up ref. ball never went over. PSU with the point but then gave it back on a service error. UH up 15-11 at the TTO.
Averill with the overpass and UH up 21-17
Sedore with his 10th kill gives UH a 25-19 win.
UH playing very well so far…and Siki with the perfect hair…
I am listening to the match and I wonder why Charlie Wade never challenges any bad calls or missed calls, not even near the end of sets when he has nothing to lose. I guess there was no flagrant bad call. Since I can’t watch the match, I can’t judge if any challenge was necessary. Do you think he should have challenged any call so far in this tournament? Or was he wise to stay silent so far? At least his lack of challenge did not cost the team a set up to this point.
14. certain calls cannot be challenged such as lifts. Don’t remember any times he had a legitimate challenge tonight.
Penn State shouldn’t have been allowed theirs because they had called a timeout then challenged.
anyway, UH up 11-5
UH up 15-5 at the TTO
Zarkovic with his 14th kill makes it 21-21. TO PSU
Hawaii wins 25-18 and it wasn’t that close
ʻOnlyʻ THREE (IMPRESSIVE) Nights….ʻ
BUT The Last Time i saw a UHMVB Team This Consistently Good,
they were Challenging for (“CHASING”) National Championships…
Sets Up a Real Nice SUNDAY Winner-Take-A LOT Match with ʻDem Anteaters…
Thanks for ALL the Details, Cindy!
I’ll say it again I really like Jennings sets, His location to the outsides isn’t perfect but for this early he doesn’t make bonehead mistakes and he puts up a huge block he has crazy hops for a setter.
I hope we see more of McKellar as the year goes. He has a great swing. Wish Sedore could pass to play left.
McKellar took 2 swings at the end of the match. not sure that is much of a gauge but the team played well, even forced Penn State to change setters.
A good win though.
And Franciskovic ran a very nice offense. Defense all around was outstanding.
McKeller may of taken two swings but you could see the power he has. Franciskovaic is really playing well up but he is still too predictable. Many teams will camp out on Zark so JF needs to vary his options more. Kanetake was great, he made a big difference in the win in an otherwise evenly matched game.
Kanetake was everywhere, Holt is a fearsome blocker, so far .
Congrats on the win last night at Stan Sheriff Center over on the campus of UH Manoa lower campus. Great win. Where is the roster? “Kanetake” doesn’t have to be everywhere. They know this. Good!
Taylor Averill Hawai’i’s most fearsome OH and MB will come back one more year to see if they can win another MPSF title. I certainly would like to see them win one. He is 6-7 feet-inches tall and from UC Irvine, California. I’d love to see them win and hold the MPSF final in Stan Sheriff Center this year 2015. Make a note of it, and vote on it. That is if they are successful at winning. Go Warriors!
Just noticed Gianna was added to sand roster, unfortunately no Benedicte Maaseide from Norway.
Huff had a pretty good game – in basketball. 15 points ( 6 for 14 FG’s), 9 rebounds, 5 Blocks; 2 assists, 2 steals; 2 turnovers in 32 minutes as a starter .
Just imagine how much better Megan will be when she gets in basketball shape. I definitely could see Beeman offering her a scholarship for next year, so she can play both.
30. Huff is in very good shape from her 2 weeks of basketball practice already.
Not sure if Beeman has a scholarship open next week. But she is a big addition to their roster.
27. thanks had mentioned that they’d be updating the roster, may be more after school starts Monday. Never thought she wouldn’t be on it. Here’s the link.
