  15. Cindy Luis March 11, 2017 7:58 pm

Stanford challenging whether serve is in or not. Kosty is 2-for 2 here, went 3-for-3 last week at Penn State in challenges.

  22. blunite March 11, 2017 8:38 pm

Cannot say enough about Hawaii’s passing, and fast sets by Franciskovic. Tuileta is an outstanding libero, and the fast sets are resulting in split blocks across the net.

  23. Cindy Luis March 11, 2017 8:40 pm

Stanford challenging the net violation on match point.

  24. Cindy Luis March 11, 2017 8:42 pm

Stanford loses the challenge. UH wins 25-20

  25. Kazu March 11, 2017 8:59 pm

Got to see the 3rd set only but what an exciting set. Nice crowd on hand especially with Baseball and Softball being on the same night.
Camera had a shot of Greeley there tonight and belive she was there last night too.Kanoe’s broadcast partner told him he would by him a car if the Bows can sweep BYU in both matches. Doubt that’s going to happen, but anything can happen in sports.
    That’s the match to watch.

  26. Jim Mayfield March 11, 2017 9:05 pm

Is it my imagination or are there a number of MPSF teams we have played against with very strong Freshman/Sophmore team members? Including our UH team.

    Aloha!
    Kauai Jimmy

  27. Ron March 11, 2017 9:09 pm

Ditto #22. Glad to see so many fans. This is quality Volleyball!

“A season-high crowd of 4,560 saw the Rainbow Warriors (20-2, 10-2) run their mark to 32 straight sets, eclipsing the record of 29 set by the 1996 squad” from Honoluluadvertiser.com

“DATE: 3/11/2017 TIME: 7:06 pm SITE: Honolulu, HI ATTENDANCE: 5439 OFFICIALS 1st Referee: Louis Ventura 2nd Referee: Ernie Ho” from Box Score on UH athletics website.

Which attendance is the correct one? Hopefully it is the one from the UH athletics website. However, because of the time stamp on the UH athletics website saying 7:06pm, I am assuming that is the amount of tickets purchased and not those passing through the turnstile.

  29. jm2375 March 11, 2017 10:36 pm

Great win!! The brooms are getting a real workout.
Get your tickets now for the CSUN series, including Senior Night.

Question about challenges. When Stanford challenged the net violation at match point, I heard Wade telling the officials that it was the 3rd time out. Does a team have to have a time out available to challenge a call?

  30. haleiwacrossfitter March 12, 2017 12:41 am

Warriors continue to impress. Real challenges are on the road against BYU and UCLA. I’d be happy with a split.

#2 – uh oh…someone needs to be updated on blog rules. Don’t start off with “Hey.” Not Cindy’s preference. 🙂

  31. Ron March 12, 2017 6:42 am

I love watching this team. When have we ever seen a team where the Lt. side is often the 4th option. Jennings is reading the defense like a quarterback; rt. side, middle, pipe, then left all in less that a second. The passing is what sets this up. Not to jinx it, but this is a championship caliber team IMO. Tui is worth the price of admission on his own and when they bring out Parapunov ‘ it is icing on the cake..

  32. Warriorfan March 12, 2017 10:13 am

I think during Rado’s senior year Wade will look back and wish he had redshirted him this year , he barely plays what a waste.

  33. z March 12, 2017 2:44 pm

Really impressed with Rado. I also like the depth on this team. So many weapons.

  34. haleiwacrossfitter March 12, 2017 4:17 pm

What is the deal with the tacos? I keep hearing them talk about it, but I missed the reasoning behind it.

  35. kk808 March 12, 2017 5:29 pm

#34 I think Taco Bell gives free tacos to attendees in matches the Rainbows sweep an opponent.

  36. haleiwacrossfitter March 12, 2017 7:44 pm

    #35 – mahalo, kind sir

  37. blunite March 12, 2017 9:52 pm

    RE: Free Tacos

This is heresay but the gentleman next to me said Jack in the Box offers the free tacos. He said that if it was Taco Bell it might be worth it.

  38. Alan March 13, 2017 8:09 am

    Re: Tacos
The taco promotion is sponsored by JACK in THE BOX. Every time the Warriors sweep their opponent in a three set home match fans can redeem their ticket for two free tacos. With the Warriors on a program record setting 32 straight set winning streak fans have enjoyed a lot of tacos. One sumaritan ( and fan), Robyn, has collected tickets of those not intending to redeem them, redeemed them herself and then along with her friend Don passed the tacos out to the homeless. Mahalo to Robyn, Don, the Warriors, and Jack in the Box.

    new thread up

Tacos from Jack In The Box. funny comment from Stanford coach prior to match. said their goal was to not have free tacos given out.

    28. As for the attendance

The box score gives Tickets Issued. The other number is with turnstile.
IMHO, turnstile has long been off but that’s the number the paper goes with.

    29. didn’t hear Charlie say that since I am across the court. That was Stanford’s third challenge which is the max for a match.

    30. the hey used by my student Samantha was fine. she was saying hi.
the one that irritates me, is HEY when people think they need to get my attention.
