Only one I know who has applied is Jeff Hall.
Scott Wong told me he isn’t. Neither is Sealy nor Wade.
did see Shoji on Tuesday. looked a little tired but otherwise well.

At 18-18, UH looked like it would run away, leading 23-18. It’s now 23-21. TO Warriors.
Warriors finish it out 25-21.
Rosenmeier 7-1-11, Matautia 3-1-4. Parapunov 3-3-9. Mol 1-1-3
Gasman in for Mol at MB. everyone else stays in.
UH breaks 15-15 tie. It’s 18-15. TO Lions
Warriors win 25-18
Rosenmeier 12-2-22, Parapunov 9-3-18, Matautia 7-2-10.
not much from the middles, Mol 1-1-3, Solbrig 000, Gasman 000. at least from live stats.

UH up 8-3 in Set 3. TO Lions
6. they said there was but guess not. both Lindenwood and Hawaii schedules listed it.

Hawaii take 23-22 lead on Parapunov’s ace, the Warriors’ first ace of the night
Franciskovic subs in, immediately teams with Solbrig to for the block. UH serving for the match at 24-22.

Maybe know one else will apply until it is a definite job opening .
14. timing could be tricky for some but obviously a job vacancy is pending.
looking like UCLA going down at home vs. CSUN
0-6 in Set 5
RE: VB HC
Matlin can seek permission from UCLA to speak to Sealy; likewise, they can do the same with other schools. Still, the future belongs to the neXt generation, as older coaches retire. Someone with an open mind (to new ideas) and a sharp eye for talent. A student of the game who continually seeks knowledge and methods of play.
UCLA loses at home to CSUN in 5
Long Beach State def. UC Santa Barbara, 25-17, 25-23, 25-20
16. they can seek permission all they want. he isn’t applying.
Sealy turned 46, Wong is 38, guessing Fisher around 40.
Hmmmmm…
OH Van Tilburg
OH Rosenmeier
OP Parapunov
S Franciscovic
M Gasman
M Mol
L Tuileta
CL? Whom do you feel / like leading the Wahine in the future? Thought that this position would have a lot of attention but have seen / read anything
19. They tried that lineup vs LBSU. Didn’t work out that well in the second match.
Is Tom Pestolesi applying. Thought that maybe reason why Dave brought him last season. He’ll bring Diane also to help.
IMHO believe the coaching position has drawn a lot of attention. Also, believe, viable candidates will wait until the position OPENS to submit application. Current announcement provides potential candidates with a window of time to consider their present and future course of action, in this case, whether to apply for the position in the near future; especially so, if a candidate is a successful head coach with a current contract. Coaching here is UNIQUE, to state the least. Any takers??

new thread up with comments on some of the about posts.
19. tried that. disaster. Van Tilburg is not consistent on the left and I think he has proven that he wants to stay at Opp.
21. would rather stay out of that. I think there are a number of quality candidates out there, some who have applied and some who haven’t because the timing isn’t right.
23. Pestolesi did not apply. and no, that isn’t why he came to UH last semester. He had long said he wanted to do a season with Shoji before Dave retired and last fall worked out for him to take a sabbatical. don’t know why you think Diane would be a part of it. She is head of nursing department at Saddleback.
24. About 40 applications received by Monday’s deadline.
