Realistically, how many more matches could they afford to lose?

If the Warriors lose again to Cal Baptist, they will trail Cal Baptist by 3, in the lost column, and by 4 to CSUN. Both Cal Baptist and CSUN will have the tie breaker over the Warriors. Saturday’s match with Cal Baptist is a MUST WIN match for the Warriors. If the Warriors lose, that would mean Cal Baptist would have to lose 4 more matches, and CSUN would have to lose 5 matches more matches, and the Warriors would have to win the rest of their matches, to even have a chance at making the MPSF tournament.

The guys seem to play well in crunch time…Hopefully they’ll pull it out…

Based on today’s Star Advertiser article, CB can’t participate in the 8 team playoffs for the title, correct, so that means UH is essentially No. 9 right? Am I reading this correctl? But if they make the playoffs, they need to win on the road, which other than UCLA, they haven’t done so.

If what you say, Alohilani, is correct, then they still have a chance. They have the tie breaker over USC, and they still have to play Pacific and Santa Barbara, both at home. They would need to basically sweep both teams.

Jeez 22 service errors, thats the game right there. Very disappointing loss. California has not been kind to UH teams this week.

Seems like they are not used to serving in a small gym. Since their blocking was superior, why not rather serve easy and make sure the serve is in and then go for the block? Also, they need to improve upon their serve reception.

Yes, Cal Baptist is transitioning from NAIA to DII status and ineligible for MPSF tournament. Matches still count on UH’s record but if UH and Cal Baptist were to tie in the standings, the Warriors get the berth.
