Marks' situation update

since it’s getting buried on another thread, I do not know all the details but he has been ruled ineligible. not an academic issue, it was about his amateur status so there must have been money involved at some point  or some sort of inappropriate contact.

It will not affect any wins that UH has in matches Marks played in this year and last.

Warriors will head to BYU latter this week.

Question: Is the team coming back home or will they travel directly to BYU from San Diego?

  2. tiffers April 14, 2013 10:13 pm

Answer: The team came back home sometime on Sunday so they can go to classes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning before I assume they’d fly out sometime on Wednesday afternoon/evening and get into Salt Lake City on Thursday and drive to Provo later that day

    Thanks, tiffers, for answering fiirst.
If they travel as they have in the past, they’ll take an evening flight Wednesday, get in Thursday morning to Salt Lake, drive to Provo.
    practice Thursday & Friday.
It will be interesting what kind of crowd they’ll get. Mentioned elsewhere that BYU is in finals this week, including some finals held on Saturday.

Cindy’s mother is out this way..

    Yeah.

Take the ferry from Port Townsend, drive through Deception Pass into Anacortes, take the ferry from Anacortes into the San Juan Islands.

    ..B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!

Cindy’s mother is a “boarder” near the Canadian Border, hah? 😉

    To answer the OP question..

Wade sent Marks packing–which is why there’s no reprocussion to it all–for NO OTHER reason than to free up schollie money on incoming recruits.

btw, I like P&G and Msrpantoja1@Huh.’A’loha..how come so many don’t??

This isn’t a gossip site, is it?

8.. I don’t know why I even bother to reply to a crazy clown
but there’s no way Wade sent Marks packing, Marks is his best all around player, he would send other players packing before him.

Good luck to JP he will be missed.

Stephen Tsai has the details of Marks departure here:

    thanks Rayson. See new thread.
    and agree WF at 8.
Marks was NOT sent packing. scholarship money? all of a 1/2 of a scholarship maybe.and it certainly wouldn’t have accounted for this happening with a week before the final regular season matches.
Just someone trying to stir up something with misinformation.
As for my mom, I am grateful to my brother and sister-in-law who have my mom now living with them in Sequim as she had some physical setbacks and moderate dementia. Much better than when she was living at home alone.
When I have visited, drove up from Seattle. But we did take the ferry from Port Townsend to Victoria last summer. It was lovely.
looking forward to another trip this summer and perhaps taking the ferry to the San Juan’s. would like to do some kayaking.
