Hartong Strong rewind & closed practices

Finally got to watch the DVRd show.

Too bad it was so short.

There have been a couple of times with players transferring out that the phrase ‘addition by subtraction’ has been used. I think this was the case with Croson. So, as many have suggested, time to move on. It’s obvious the team has. Yes, much less drama.

couple of comments from the other thread.

Someone asked about the 2016 Olympics.

Hartong declined to be with the national team this summer to get healthy for her senior year. Kiraly really likes her and there will be a place at the training center when she’s done collegiately. That being said, there is a lot of talent with Team USA. and much can change between now and 2016. That bodes well for the U.S. which has never won Olympic gold on the women’s side.

Agree with everyone about Hartong’s poise and presence. I think she was gracious in her comments about Croson, as honest as she could be but without being real negative.

LC mentioned Audrey Candido joining the Wahine, Libero from Rancho Valley. she’s not on the roster. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow. That would give them 19.

BTW, practices will be closed the next two days. Don’t expect anything to change for next week either.

Dave Shoji’s practices have always been closed. Unless, of course, you are a little sneak like me. Cindy, do not look down for me, need to look up. Just to give you a clue.

What match would be the earliest Shoji would become the winningest coach?

Oh ya….hope the admin has a big celebration planned for that night.

    2. setaone, Shoji has 1,103 and needs four more wins to tie. So the earliest to tie would be against New Mexico State and to be ahead would be against Santa Clara. But it will be interesting if Hawaii loses before that, then to tie it would be against Santa Clara and to go ahead would be against UCLA which would make for a great celebration win.

Dave needs 4 more wins to surpass Banakowski (who has 1106 all-time wins).

    4. Well assuming that they lose to Texas and then win the rest, earlies Shoji could break the record against Santa Clara on Sept. 6. If they were to lose twice, then it could come against UCLA Sept. 7. If they beat Texas and continue to win, then earliest is NMSU on Sept. 5
