Congrats to Nikki and Katie for finishing second and Karissa and karlee for advancing to the semi’s as a new pair, and wish a speedy recovery to Britt Tiegs. UH will need her 100 percent against USC.

Great win. Tremendous progress in the sand program from the first year to now and it should progressively get better in the coming years.

Spieler/Taylor played tough all the way to the end as well as Cook/Riggs. Heard it was in the high 90’s on the sand today at the Olympic Training Center with not a cloud in the sky. A very different playing environment for our Wahine Sand players.
With Tiegs out (injured back) it will be interesting to see who SW decides to pair with Cook going forward. Riggs stepped up big time to fill in this weekend for Tiegs (coming up from the 4th flight). Heard Riggs had several serving runs with her powerful jump serve. Our Sand players have a lot going for them this season with so much depth within the ranks of the team.

Too bad there’s no live streaming of sand volleyball. I would have liked to watch it. Maybe I’ll have my chance on the first weekend of April when I visit Honolulu.

Yes that is too bad that there is no live streaming or even television, I am sure many people want to watch UH against USC. Should be a great battle for the number 2 ranking.

    8. Don’t think it was in the 90s Sunday. Weather.com said 85. and the OTC is up on a bluff so there should have been some kind of breeze. Wong said the weather Saturday was great. I didn’t ask him about it Sunday.
