Hope they win, but I can’t watch division 2 volleyball, too slow for me.
By the way I meant no disrespect to division 2 athletes, hope BYUH wins it all.
Tied at 1 set apiece. Ferris State took the 1st set 25-21 and BYUH took set 2 in extra play 32-30
thank you. trying to get to that but dealing with some of the infighting on another thread
BYUH leads 2-1
BYUH wins Set 3 25-19
BYUH loses set 4 27-25
BYUH serving for the match at 14-6. Bulldogs have rallied to 14-9. TO BYUH
it’s now 14-11
14-12. TO BYUH
wow, Ferris state on a 7-0 run. it’s 14-13
Talk about a bad rotation. it’s tied 14-14
BYUH wins it 16-14
BYUH wins in 5
Wow, what a finish. BYU-UH’s 12 point is probably the longest rally I’ve witnessed.
wow that was almost an epic meltdown/choke, thank god they pulled it off for their psyche.
didn’t Nebraska pull off a huge comeback in the 5th set against UW when UW had match point? If I’m not mistaken that was the regional final a few years back. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I only tuned in at the end of the match. My fault, I got the time wrong. When the Ferris Bulldogs tied at 14-14 after an 8-point run, I feared the worst as I reminded of how Cal Poly lost to the Fresno in similar fashion in the playoffs back in 1984. I was there to witness the disaster in person. Cal Poly was ahead 14-9 in the fifth set but couldn’t get another point as Ruth Lawanson (who later won a Bronze Medal in the 1992 USA Olympic team) rallied her team together and kept killing the ball. They beat Cal Poly 16-14 and I never forgave the team for that. In years to come I rooted most passionately against Fresno Bulldogs. Luckily BYU-Hawaii stopped a different Bulldog team from doing the same thing.
As for the game being too slow, that doesn’t bother me. Only poor quality broadcast bothers me.
congrats to byuh!
Yeah Steffi Chen is their Emily Hartong…hope the other OH’s can step it up because Steffi cant do it by herself as we all know
19. think you mean Stella. She is a pretty amazing player. They run a pretty balanced attack. Fang is an excellent middle. Their right side Pauga just a freshman.
But Chen can take over a match
Hope Stella got some gas left in the tank for tomorrow. Took 92 swings with 37 kills. Works out to 44/45% of the teams kills and swings. Good luck to BYU-UH.
