UCSB hanging tough against Texas…about to go up 2-1…

  2. Harvey December 6, 2019 4:40 pm

The announcer at the SSC for volleyball is so much better than the guy at football games at Aloha Stadium or the basketball announcer.

His name is, I think, Ben Kinaaina? He should be the announcer for every sport.

  3. Hi5Ho December 6, 2019 4:40 pm

UCSB is really spreading the offense. If they can keep this up, they can upset Texas.

  4. islandman December 6, 2019 4:42 pm

How come Honolulu Spectrum customers can’t get the SD vs WSU stream ? I get the same message as for the PPV football games – blackout market. I can usually stream the UH wvb games though.

  5. jmy December 6, 2019 4:45 pm

    Georgia-Cal Poly going to five…

  6. Andrew December 6, 2019 4:48 pm

Hopefully UCSB holds and doesn’t collapse. If Cal Poly can pull it off two that’ll ensure two less Power 5 schools advancing.

  7. Harvey December 6, 2019 4:50 pm

Today, we are all UCSB fans. But we may going 5.

  8. Harvey December 6, 2019 4:52 pm

Also, seems like Wash State shaky in serve receive.

    4. as have posted above in main box, go to BigWest.TV for the WSU-USD match

  10. Cindy Luis December 6, 2019 5:00 pm

but i will complain about the NCAA site. supposed to be gametracker but just the video of the selection show breakdown

  11. islandman December 6, 2019 5:00 pm

    9. That’s where i went – Big WestTV. uhfan in prior posts also had the same problem.

  12. Harvey December 6, 2019 5:08 pm

    11. islandman, go to the previous thread. Follow instructions I gave uhfan.

  13. islandman December 6, 2019 5:17 pm

    12. Thanks Harvey, but as a Honolulu spectrum customer, i and others are supposed to be able to get the BW TV stream too. For PPV fb , i can see why not.

  14. uhfan December 6, 2019 5:19 pm

Yes, resetting the location on your VPN to other than Hawaii works.

I’ve able to watch the SD – WSU match on my Mac plus watching the UCSB-Texas match (which is tied 4-4 in set 5).

    Aloha & Mahalo, Harvey.

  15. Cindy Luis December 6, 2019 5:27 pm

Cal Poly wins 3-2 over georgia
    thanks Harvey

  16. Cindy Luis December 6, 2019 5:31 pm

    Texas def. UCSB 3-2

  17. peanut December 6, 2019 5:31 pm

Almost the biggest upset of the tournament. Looks like Texas moves on 3-2

  18. peanut December 6, 2019 5:35 pm

Too bad for Ruddins. Looks like she took it really hard

  19. Kaimukian December 6, 2019 5:48 pm

Islandman, do you use the to log on? If you are on wifi in your house that has a sub, you get to watch the local channels live. On data, no can. The stream on has always been blacked out for me, but the replays can watch. Hope this helps

  20. T103 December 6, 2019 5:56 pm

Sorry maybe this was asked already but is tonights match with UH gonna be televised?

  21. Don December 6, 2019 6:00 pm

I’m irritated that the Texas fans are so close to the server in their gym. There doesn’t seem to be enough (legal) space there for the server to have an unabated path of at least 3 meters.

  22. Kalihifc December 6, 2019 6:42 pm

JR is in uniform (shoes, shorts, pads).

  23. kden December 6, 2019 6:43 pm

    Jolie is peppering… 👀

  24. tongo December 6, 2019 6:45 pm

Tough loss for Gauchos! Texas started to serve really tough in game 4 and 5 and got SB out of system. Up to that point the Gauchos were in system and they were killing the Longhorns. Congrats to Lindsey for a great career!

  25. lina December 6, 2019 6:49 pm

What’s the projected start time for the Wahine match?

  26. Harvey December 6, 2019 7:07 pm

I’m so psyched for the game to start. I’m watching the pregame show, here just outside of DC past midnight, with a pot of beef stew on the stove to eat from floor the next few hours.

    Go Bows!!!

  27. UHNVA347 December 6, 2019 7:12 pm

I’m also watching from Northern Virginia outside DC. I took a nap to be able to stay up. Go Bows!

  28. T103 December 6, 2019 7:46 pm

yikes, this is tough, didn’t expect to see UH struggling so much. Our passing is not too good. We. have some self inflicted wounds too. We gottah shake off the rust from not playing recently, get better connections, pass better, and lets start playing like we normally do!

  29. islandman December 6, 2019 8:33 pm

    19. Thanks Kaimukian,, yes i watch OC16 and OC12 on the internet, either wifi or ethernet cable.

  30. Blunite December 6, 2019 8:48 pm

The J.R. effect is in play

  31. Baby-Dude December 6, 2019 9:00 pm

How about that, Wahine looses the point after a long rally, and the fans clap.

  32. T103 December 6, 2019 9:06 pm

#31 Yup, longer rallies happens usually in girls vs. guys but either or, Hawaii fans appreciate good volleyball so every time there is a long rally, win or loose, fans will always clap.
Side note I think J.R. starting that 3rd set switched it up. We finally settled down and passed good, and blocked well too. It was so frustrating watching the 1st & 2nd set b/c we struggled so hard.

  33. Sheila December 7, 2019 5:02 am

Big Mahalo to Northern Colorado, specially, Taylor Muff, for bringing A+ game and could have gone 2-0 up…Good warn-up game for wahine, specially, to Jolie. …San Diego played very dominant game and has entirely different dynamics and distributed attack meanwhile both SD’s 6-5 OH and setter add lot of decisive points. Their fence seems bit taller and got to use few touches over fence smartly. Hopefully, wahine’s all current key players (well tuned-up) engaged in offence intermittently meanwhile Jolie is in starting line-up and stay in game for all very close games… Ranking #’s are absolutely immaterial and RAM & co. need to maneuver strategies smartly in timely manner to have a competitive game tonight…
