Who did Okino start for? I’m confused

  3. H-Man September 6, 2019 8:02 pm

I see Washington had a nice comeback in defeating No. 5 Illinois in five. Also future opponent Baylor defeated No. 4 Wisconsin @ Madison.

  4. Cindy Luis September 6, 2019 8:07 pm

    2. Okino the designated libero but didn’t play yet
    3. yes, all scores on the previous thread

  5. H-Man September 6, 2019 8:30 pm

Having read on this blog that scores were posted on previous thread, I checked it out. Thanks for the heads-up. I also see that Missouri notched a good win over No. 14 Michigan. All should help Hawaii’s RPI, right? Of course Hawaii can help itself in the Baylor Tournament.

too bad coach didn’t give Janelle Gong some PT.

  7. darkfire35 September 6, 2019 9:46 pm

Yeah, I was hoping Janelle and Kamalei would have some PT. But don’t think Kamalei is ready just yet. She still looks a little rough in warm ups where she’s not able to jump very much. But she’s a trooper and is still in there cheering her mates on!
They really need to keep their poise and strike hard against Denver to prep for next week.
    GO BOWS!

Cindy, I’m guessing “Rise of the Wahine” is not available for purchase on DVD yet?

  9. Astroboy September 6, 2019 11:32 pm

Anyone know what that yellow card for game delay at the start of set 3 was all about? I saw they didn’t mention i on the broadcast.

Great job for Sky! Dave Reardon’s article said that Kenyatta Lovelace was 12 for 12. But if I recall correctly, and I’m only going off memory here since I saw that match, was 10 for 10. And actually, it kinda looked like 9 for 10 but one kill was given to her.

  11. Ki September 7, 2019 6:19 am

    10. Nope. I remember it was 12 for 12 against Fullerton by Lovelace

  12. islandman September 7, 2019 7:18 am

I thought Sibley had a kill or two, but the newspaper and live stats say only an error.

  13. rabbit ears September 7, 2019 9:41 am

Akana looks small out there. Not sure where she fits unfortunately. Doesn’t seem to have the hops like her mom.

  14. nomu1001 September 7, 2019 10:12 am

Westerberg can play MB, R, L. That is huge for the team. Maybe even in the backrow someday?

  15. EA September 7, 2019 10:40 am

#16 Washington beats #5 Illinois. Wow!

  16. Hot September 7, 2019 11:10 am

    12. I did see her get a couple. And she passed well too. I was hoping to see Gong as well.

  17. Hot September 7, 2019 11:13 am

What the heck is wrong with UH’s stat page?! I know there’s an issue with the current stats program, so why are they still using it? Completely illogical.

  18. Brandon September 7, 2019 11:55 am

Aloha cindy, I know its not your fault, but the UH athletics department is SERIOUSLY slacking when it comes to Stats this year. The stats are STILL messed up, and I hope this doesnt hurt the girls when it comes to post season honors.

    new thread up for Saturday
    5. The results from the mainland will help Hawaii’s RPI. Baylor Tournament, where they also play Missouri, is going to be huge.
    8. Rise of the Wahine has been available for a while for purchase. A couple of versions available. Scrool down the webpage for info
    https://www.riseofthewahinefilm.com/home
    10. UH record book has it 12-for-12 vs. Fullerton for Lovelace.
    12. don’t get me started on the stats. Unfortunatley the paper can only go with the box that we’re given
    13. Akana just got cleared. She more than has hops. but it was when Joselyn played outside that you noticed her jumping ability. My guess is that they’ll look at Akana to be onthe outside in spring
    14. Westerberg very versatile. M, L, R.
    15. just one of the many wow wins this weekend
    16. they’re still trying to figure out who plays
    17. again, don’t get me started. Have mentioned it to the powers that be that this is a huge problem. That the Big Ten has scrapped it. That a number of schools are not using it now.
All i was told was they were looking into to it and will make a decision whether to continue to use it.
