Looks like less than 900 tickets left for sale for Senior Night. Love the full SSC crowd vibes.

    -Aloha!

  2. Baby-Dude November 21, 2019 3:31 pm

    1. Wow, good news, looks like pack night. Sr. night is always special. Any entertainment ? Some thoughts: Iosia do a Samoan dance,Bring out a piano for Hellvig, HanaWahine and Ross can hula, Williams and Igiede can do a duet. Just dreaming. Can’t wait.

  3. kahuna November 21, 2019 3:36 pm

#2….volleyball is entertaining enough. No need more entertaining. After UH wins the BW title, we are going to be overwhelmed with joy.

    Cannot take too much entertainment….LOL

    Go Bows!

  4. wahinefan87 November 21, 2019 5:03 pm

I’m going to senior night. I hope the Stan will get close to a sell out. There were less than 1,000 tickets left the last time I checked. This is a really special team. I’ll be sad if this turns out to be the final home game for the seniors and Rika. If they win out, there’s a good chance it won’t be. So…

    Let’s go bows!

  5. Cindy Luis November 21, 2019 5:40 pm

    1-2-3-4
    don’t know what’s planned.
    2. it’s senior night. Don’t know how much the underclassmen will be involved. maybe not be too much. they have a planned autograph session after.
    less than 1,000

  6. Ki November 21, 2019 5:48 pm

If Hawaii wins tonight, they are Big West Champs already right? They win both matches, they own sole possession of 1st place.

  7. Aloha73g November 21, 2019 5:54 pm

I noticed there is Wahine Basketball on Friday at 2:30pm. Will there be time to put out the Teraflex or will they play on the hardwood?

  8. Cindy Luis November 21, 2019 5:57 pm

new thread up with parking in for Friday
    6. A win tonight and they clinch a share of the title but, since they have the tiebreaker, they get the AQ
Win both and they win outright.

  9. Cindy Luis November 21, 2019 6:19 pm

    7. they will switch out to the Teraflex.
Rich Sheriff and crew has it down to a science. Very efficient.
Tonight they are taking it up after the wahine match

  10. vballfan November 21, 2019 6:44 pm

Nice to see Jolie on the court. Now, she’s serving!

  11. Big Island Volleyball Fan November 21, 2019 6:55 pm

Wow, Cal Baptist and Riverside played a very long match where all sets were won by only two points and four sets were extended. The Riverside website did not state how long the match lasted, only that it was the highest scoring match of the season.

  12. gobows November 21, 2019 7:00 pm

Any news on when/if Rasmussen is going to come back this year?

  13. Cindy Luis November 21, 2019 7:05 pm

nope. no news. Not cleared to practice, not cleared to play.

  14. Cindy Luis November 21, 2019 7:06 pm

    10. think i mentioned earlier on some thread that she does some things in practice like toss balls out.

  15. Blunite November 21, 2019 7:35 pm

CSUN reminds me of the 2016 version of the Wahines. Some good pieces but not detail oriented.

  16. Big Island Volleyball Fan November 21, 2019 7:50 pm

    14. Does JR do weight lifting with her arms lying down? What about conditioning? Does she work out on an exercycle? Or is an exercycle too much stress on her ankle? If it has toe straps, she can pedal it with one foot only. I’m afraid that even if she heals, she won’t be in adequate physical condition to play in the NCAA playoffs.

  17. Cindy Luis November 21, 2019 8:00 pm

    15. I see no resemblance.
    16. no idea what kind of conditioning she does. we don’t have access to the weight room.

  18. wahinefan87 November 21, 2019 8:05 pm

Hopefully, they can make it this a short night. Always great to see Sibs and Gong out there contributing

  19. Blunite November 21, 2019 8:29 pm

CSUN passing and hitting somewhat lacking. Questionable prep for LBSU tomorrow night.

  20. wahinefan87 November 21, 2019 8:32 pm

Congrats to Hawaii for clinching the AQ and at least a share of the conference championship!

  21. Connor November 21, 2019 9:27 pm

JR was not wearing boot on right ankle. In sneakers and walking without a limp. She stood with the rest of girls for entire match. Hopefully she will be ready for the NCAA playoffs. Crossing my fingers and toes! Her parents and I think grandparent were here for the match.

  22. sports for fun November 21, 2019 9:43 pm

I’m really glad that tonights match was pretty easy. Not to insult them, but CSUN looked overmatched in every set. Wish Brooke was subbed out so she could save her legs.
I am wary of tomorrow night’s game against Long Beach. It’ll be a match between the two teams on winning streaks in the conference. With their confidence soaring, Long Beach is looking forward to getting their revenge on Hawaii.

    Go ‘Bows!!

  23. Bleachercoach November 21, 2019 9:55 pm

We also got things to settle with LBSU…not getting to practice on LBSU teraflex before the game was a snub …they got better but I feel we got way better since we played at LBSU too
This team has renewed strength and chemistry since the UC Irvine loss and struggling matches that followed against Cal Fullerton and Poly. This team has arrived at the right time. Yes, Jolie would be such a great gift but the team has certainly achieved so much in character building without her presence . They are ready to lock and load!

  24. warriorwahine November 21, 2019 10:14 pm

the broadcasting even talked about liking having a big west tourney. for womens volleyball, thats a bad idea – didnt hawai’i get out of the wackity wac in part because of that? you dont see power 5 having such tourney – theres no B1G or Pac 12 tourney for womens volleyball. its just depleting the big west rpi more especially since you going to have lesser teams of ucsd, bakersfield and sac state? plus no reason to beat up the conference more before the ncaa considering they already got their chance to beat each other twice both on their own turf and the others turf.

a good performance tonight by na wahine. let em show it to the beach tomorrow.

  25. sports for fun November 21, 2019 10:15 pm

    22 great points!! Go ‘Bows!!

  26. tongo November 21, 2019 10:17 pm

Anybody know about recruits at the match? There was talk about a 6-2 player?

  27. sports for fun November 21, 2019 10:25 pm

The new setter will be in the house tomorrow night, Kate Lang!

  28. Connor November 22, 2019 4:42 am

JR without boot last night. Wearing sneakers and walking without limp. Stood with teammates all night. Parents and grandparents (I think) at game. I hope these are signs she will be back for ncaa.

  29. Baby-Dude November 22, 2019 7:26 am

Missed 3rd set, but guess i didn’t miss much. Tonight is different, will have to be sure i watch all the way through to the ceremony. Tougher match only because LBS got two injured players back, and they are winners. Wahine needs to do everything right.

  30. Sheila November 22, 2019 8:28 am

It was tough for CSUN at bottom half of Table, brings A-game on road in final weeks but LBSU, final-weeks giant killer, will give the needed tests for wahine: Sole BigWest Champ? Deserve to be placed at rank top-8 in RPI and seeding? Top-10 in AVCA poll (after adjusted for out of ordinary one voting, outlier)?…Senior Sibley was very well acknowledged by fans… Keep up the well-balanced attack!

  31. Aloha73G November 22, 2019 8:52 am

Lets than 500 tickets for sale online for tonight’s match vs LBSU. Hope the traffic isn’t crazy and they open the arena on time … or a little early 🙂

  32. Bowsfan November 22, 2019 10:56 am

Going wahine basketball and volleyball. Going be a long day. Not going home after basketball, hope I can get parking around the neighborhood.

  33. Connor November 22, 2019 11:41 am

Are doors opening at 5:45 or 6? Email from UH just now says doors open 1 hour before game but yesterday I read that doors open at 5:45?

    Cindy:which is correct?

  34. jm2375 November 22, 2019 1:13 pm

bowsfan – if you’re going for both, why not just park in the structure. I believe you get in-out privileges for 24 hrs.

  35. Aloha73G November 22, 2019 1:20 pm

Less than 400 tickets for sale online.

    33. Regarding the opening time, last season when Men’s Volleyball had a full arena situation they did open the doors before 6pm, even though the official opening time was 6pm.

    Aloha!

new thread up with Friday links
    24. have mentioned before about potential BWC tournament after the expansion to 11 team. It will be interesting to see what format next year’s schedule is in. Talk about not having a true home and away schedule. It could very well end up like the old men’s MPSF with two divisions where teams play Home-and Away within division then cross over for one match in other division.
    26. Kate Lang will be there tonight. She is not a recruit. She has officially signed. She’s 5-10
possible someone for 2021 will be there
    33. I was told 15 minutes at 545 but that was yesterday.
They have to clear the arena first after women’s basketball. Much could depend on how quickly that happens.
    34. I don’t believe there are in-and-out privilege s
What they will do is refund if you stay less than an hour.

  37. Cindy Luis November 22, 2019 2:11 pm
