A women’s Masters at Augusta National?
Two questions.
1. Do you agree with Paula Creamer that the LPGA should be allowed to play a women’s Masters at Augusta National?
2. Do you think it’s possible that the membership of the exclusive club would ever allow it to happen?
My answers are: 1. Of course, great idea. 2. Only if forced, kicking and screaming into the 21st century.

Short answer. No.
1. sure
2. no, 15-20 years at the earliest.
It’s a shame it has not happened already.
Women should have equal billing, equal footing, and equal recognition.
Tear down the walls of inequality, without Women there would be no Men’s Master’s.
If Women can raise their son’s to be successful in life, and if it happens their son’s become successful golfers to one day win the Master’s tournament, then why not raise their daughters to be successful in life, and if it happens their daughter’s become successful golfers to one day win the Master’s tournament.
No – It isn’t a matter of equality. The Masters isn’t just a place to play a prestigious tournament. It is the history behind the tournament. Just because the women play a tournament there and call it the “Masters” it wouldn’t make it so. The LPGA needs to continue to develop it’s own history and someday there will be a similar tournament in their schedule.
