Warriors break camp

The Warriors quietly broke training camp on Monday as they focus on the Aug. 26 opener against UMass.

Because UH freshmen may begin moving into the dorms today, the Warriors postponed this morning’s practice until this afternoon.

The Warriors are expected to assign scout teams for tomorrow’s practice.

“We’re getting ready for UMass,” coach Nick Rolovich said.

Due to the hot muggy weather all night, woke up to
excruciating leg cramps. Hope Rolo juices up the players
    this afternoon and all week.

    Great Morning All!

I hope the camp get fixed.

    Das it

Hey ST. I thought there were going to be two helmet options. Any word on if the team will still have a second helmet option?

  4. Stephen Tsai August 15, 2017 8:38 am

    Blu808:
I was under the impression there would be two new helmets. But I guess I was wrong. It looks like last year’s helmets are the second set.

    Akamai Okole
    Good one.

  6. Stephen Tsai August 15, 2017 8:42 am

I guess the ending of training camp isn’t really much of a big deal anymore since they did away with two-a-days and only the first-year Warriors were required to live in the dorms during camp.
Or as Rolo put it: “You don’t have anything else to write today?”

  7. Stephen Tsai August 15, 2017 8:44 am

By the way, Rolo will be passing out schedule cards and football posters in Manoa and Palolo this morning. Just in case you’re in the area.

  8. H-Man August 15, 2017 8:54 am

Hey, I like the white helmets. Reminds me of Star Wars’ Storm Troopers.

NFL question. Is there a way to purchase live titans game this season. I know of direct tv, but you lose of sports.

  12. Rabbit ears August 15, 2017 10:53 am

    Typo you lose OC sports.

  13. Shadow August 15, 2017 11:56 am

Is there a depth chart ready to show?

  14. MauiBoyAlaska August 15, 2017 11:58 am

Question? Manly Williams a 2014 graduate of Farrington High School and someone I know several people had really high hopes for, is no longer listed on the UH website roster. I know he had suffered a season-ending knee injury back in 2015. Is he no longer with the time because of injuries?

  15. rabbit ears August 15, 2017 1:36 pm

madeinhawaii thanks, I do have oceanic sport pack already (NFL network, redzone etc). Seems like Sling only offers the same. NFL sports pass are only replays. Only Direct TV has all games live.

  16. s.peezy55 August 15, 2017 2:21 pm

rabbit ears, you can purchase NFL sunday ticket on any game counsel like playstation and xbox.

  17. kapakahi August 15, 2017 2:56 pm

    MBA @ #14,

#49 DE Manly Williams joined Fall Camp sometime after it started.

  18. Aaron August 15, 2017 3:21 pm

    Rabbit Ears,
You can get Sunday Ticket streaming if your address qualifies as one that can’t get standard DirecTV service (like if you live in a building or similar) or if you are a college student and have an active .edu email address. You can look it up here:

    https://nflst.directv.com/

I recently switched Spectrum for OC Sports but I kept cheapest DirecTV package so I can keep my NFL Sunday Ticket. DirecTV has a contract, though, so you gotta be okay with committing to it and haggling to get your price after the 1st year discounts expire…

Game prep starts, 2 deep is ready to be published-could be a day or so cuz I’m sure there are some razor thin choices in some cases OL RB and LB will create some handrwringing to say nothing of receiver corp. The UMass game will be a Tough game for a lot of reasons. This will be a great test and afraid to say but we need this one-GoWarriors!!!!

15, 17, 19, thanks alot. Used my son edu address. Titans up baby!!!

Watched OC16’s rebroadcast of the UMass game this afternoon and noticed their O-line was able to successfully push Hawaii’s defense on short-yardage plays. And their two wide-outs, Jalan Williams and Andy Isabella, will cause more problems for Warriors’ secondary. Isabella, No. 23, is a mirror-image of Hawaii’s No. 23 Dylan Collie.
Ford is a good QB with a quick release. Warriors will have a tough time at Amherst. Hoping they come away with a win.

    Bryson:

    tickets are yours

Da808 needed 2 sets and we only had one

where, when can we meet? got tickets at my office — 615 Piikoi Street

  24. Maddog50 August 16, 2017 6:59 am

Remiss in not commenting on nice piece-Big John Wa’a. The front five will be big strong and formidable. I’m betting the initial front left to right- Allen Wa’a Eli Posa Perry Unga. Pretty good group with chance to be great-Hensley Graves and a new kid will also be in the mix. GoWarriors!!!!!

  25. A-House August 16, 2017 7:03 am

    10 years, eh!

why not shoot for 12 – 0 and another Sugar Bowl? this time I will be sure to pack long pants and warm jacket and long sleeve shirts — froze my okole in 2007-08.

had a great time in 2007-08!

merchants in New Orleans would welcome us back with open arms!!! wonder how much ‘kala’ UH fans left behind? family of 3 must have spent over $1,000 in food and gifts.

    see you at Amherst?
