handwritten bracket posted at above link.

Sunday pairs tournament has Nos. 1 and 2 in the gold bracket, Nos. 3 and 4 in the silver and No. 5.

Hall said the goal was to have all six pairs playing in the finals of each bracket won’t happen since they decided that the bronze would be only for the No. 5. Not all schools had a No. 6.

UH-5 has a bye into the bronze semifinals, as does Santa Clara-5. Not sure who he’ll put at No. 5 since he had switched players up Saturday.

UH-1 the top seed in gold, UH-2 is No. 7. opposite ends of the bracket so could meet in final.

UC-3 the top seed in silver, UH-4 is No. 7. also could meet in the final.

    don’t have scores but:
UH-1 Taylor-Tiegs wins gold, 21-19 over UH-2 Spieler-Urban. Match only went one set due to Urban not feeling well.

    UH-3 Brown-Rooks win silver over Santa Clara–4

UH 5 (don’t have team names) wins bronze

UH-6 won the exhibition tourney for the level
Only team not to medal was UH-4. which lost to Santa Clara-3 in the semifinals

More later when I get scores. Hall was very pleased with the results.

Hope Urban will be okay, and that it’s nothing serious. Good job Wahine!

coach said she gutted it out to finish Set 1. but no need to push it since it was all-UH final. she’ll be fine.

this is what I have so far
No. 1 pair of Nikki Taylor and Brittany Tiegs who defeated UH-2 Katie Spieler-Olivia Urban 21-19 in an abbreviated final where Spieler-Urban conceded due to illness.
UH-3 Sammie Brown and Hannah Rooks won the silver bracket (for the Nos. 3 and 4 pairs) over Santa Clara-4 Kartina Inch-Sarah Vacarro 21-18, 21-14. Inch-Vacarro prevented the all-Hawaii final when rallying past UH-4 Lara Schreiber-Heather Boyan 17-21, 21-10, 15-12 in the semifinals.
The bronze bracket title went to UH-5 London Chow-Hannah Zalopany. over CSU Bakersfield-5 Star Tucker-Campbell and Luiza Martins.
Ka’iwi Schucht-Mikayla Tucker won the exhibition bracket for the No. 6 pairs. Scores for both matches were unavailable.

hey cindy, you happen to know who it is yet?

    anything you can share?

  8. Cindy Luis March 29, 2015 5:05 pm

As I have said, I do not know, sorry. The only thing I was told was they are filling Huff’s volleyball scholarship since Huff will be on basketball scholarship. And it seemed like it would be a transfer.

But, hey, Po’o, the VT thread has been pretty amusing.

Shoji wants the players to enroll in Summer II session which starts on July 6. Guess we’ll have to wait until then to see who’s on the team.

true but doesn’t prevent them from enrolling earlier. pretty sure some of the new players came in for first session last year. Part of the paperwork they have to wait on is student has to be accepted by the university first. Then they enroll.
