    Welcome Jack, Jake and Numi!
    Go Warriors!

  4. islandman July 13, 2018 9:19 am

It could come down to football or no football. At least for some schools, it did, such as LBSU, Fullerton, Wichita St, etc.

  5. burro sabio July 13, 2018 9:45 am

#5 disagree. It will come down to athletics or no athletics.

    Just win!
    Just $upport!
    Just do it!

I got a call from one of our loyal readers yesterday, and he pointed out that the blog had been free of, well, you know, for a few days.
And, of course, that was like somebody saying: “Hey, we’re in the eighth inning, and I noticed Joe Blow hasn’t given up a hit yet.”
Well, Joe Blow then gives up a hit.
And then I had to bring out the mallet.
Love you all, but please let’s not count our chips until we get back to the hotel room.

Thanks goodness it’s Friday, because I think I used my batch of mixed metaphors.

  9. jeezy33 July 13, 2018 12:20 pm

Thank goodness it’s Friday and we get Chick Fil A coming

  10. kalua pig July 13, 2018 12:27 pm

    “.”

  12. papajoe2 July 13, 2018 1:16 pm

Why doesn’t Michele Wie play in more golf tournaments? Seems like she only plays the Majors or noteworthy tournaments while ladies like Ariya, Lydia, Moira, etc. play most tournaments. and move up in the POY awards.

  13. Kapahulu July 13, 2018 1:40 pm

glad to hear Chick Fil A coming.
    Nice to have options.

I thought that we were also to get a Sonic Drive In,
That was announced around 2 years ago.
Anyone know the current status or what happened?

  14. SteveM July 13, 2018 2:02 pm

Hi guys! Two consecutive posts by cousins and cruisers above…good to see you back!

Must be an omen since I’ll be sailing around the islands next week.

  15. Stephen Tsai July 13, 2018 5:41 pm

Russsell Yamanoha’s dream was to own a Sonic’s here.

  16. Maddog50 July 14, 2018 6:03 am

Stephen could you refresh my memory on the start date for fall practice. From what I can tell the following have yet to report in-Manning La ulu Ritner Mata’faa Dalpe Wade and Moore. If I’m missing anybody it’s because I just can’t keep track. Of the previously named some figure into the depth chart with at least one projected to be a starter so I’m curious to say the least-GoWarriors!!!!!

  17. islandman July 14, 2018 6:57 am

One article said Fall training camp begins on July 26.

  18. H-Man July 14, 2018 6:58 am

In addition to those you (MD50) listed, I have Manase Time, Justus Tavai. Michael Washington and Gene Pryor still listed as having to report (no word on who arrived for the 2nd summer session/bridge. But it will all sort itself out by the start of fall practice which is either July 26 or 27.

Good news about Chick-Fil-A coming to Oahu. Haven’t heard or seen anything since the initial press release stating two locations opening on Oahu in 2018. The ads flood cable TV here.

  20. Lowtone123 July 14, 2018 7:06 am

    For Sonic that is…

  21. idunnonuttin July 14, 2018 8:01 am

#13, the Kemoeatu brothers were supposed to bring Sonic to Hawai’i.

Visited the continent recently and ate at Chipolte 3 times while there. Not bad and it was filling. The Shake Shack in NYC, was also tasty (Ono milk shakes, too), as were the Halal food stands.

    #12 – injuries

  24. suckkabooya July 14, 2018 11:09 am

In my opinion the feel is different on this year’s recruiting class. The skill sets of each (when you review their videos) seem to complement each other. Feels weird (optimism?), not used to this feeling. Even during the Coach Jones’ years I didn’t feel like I do this year. Some experience, some moldable youth, different specialties,100% awesome.

  25. suckkabooya July 14, 2018 11:19 am

The most impressive Hudl video I’ve ever seen was the Nik Tom video that was posted on this board. I know he medically retired but he should be a GA somewhere. Special

@12. More specifically, I think the current health concern is arthritic wrists. She maintains with periodic injections but needs to take time off to see him, so I heard. Must be a balancing act between playing, practicing, but avoiding over-use.

  27. kalua pig July 14, 2018 11:52 am

maybe she is trying to hit the tee shot too long.

  28. Da Punchbowl Kid July 14, 2018 12:02 pm

Dear God. Please let the new Chik-Fil-A be located very close to Puowaena (Punchbowl). Amen.

    suckabooya –
I get that same feeling, too! I’m always optimistic, but it feels like I’ve got extra excitement sauce on top of that. We’ll see!

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  29. Da Punchbowl Kid July 14, 2018 12:14 pm

Forgive me. That should read “Chick-fil-A” above. As should “suckkabooya”.

  30. Akamai Okole July 14, 2018 7:28 pm

Great Evening All! (from Lost Wages)

Our tour guide in NYC told us that the “secret” to Shake Shack is that they are actually serving frozen custard and not actually “milk” shakes.

Chik-fil-A. Get extra sauce! (buggah is ono) No go on Sunday!!!

  31. Akamai Okole July 14, 2018 7:34 pm

Coach Yoro was the point man to a terrific recruiting effort at Pacific U. when they decided to bring back D3 football.
That staff brought the program far and fast…I remember watching and cringing as they took the field in their 1st year of competition and then FF to them coming within one victory of a playoff slot 2 years later in a competitive Northwest Conference.
Hoping that GA Perez was paying attention to a lot of the things that Coach Yoro was doing to get those results.
