Gallup expected to change positions

Quarterback Kyle Gallup is facing a recovery period of between six and eight weeks after undergoing successful surgery to repair an injured meniscus in his right knee this past Wednesday.

Head coach Nick Rolovich acknowledged that Gallup probably will be moved to tight end/H-back when he rejoins the team. The switch would be prompted because 1) the Warriors are deep with quarterbacks, and 2) Gallup is a physical player whose skills are suited as a blocker.

As of now, the top-tier QBs are Dru Brown, Cole McDonald, Cole Brownholtz and Larry Tuileta. They have taken all the reps in 7-on-7 and team drills.

The other quarterbacks are Hunter Hughes, who is the lone senior, and freshman walk-ons Justin Uahinui and Karson Greeley.

Chevan Cordeiro (Saint Louis School) and Jeremy Moussa (Roosevelt High in Corona, Calif.) have pledged to join the Warriors in 2018.

Does Gallup have a med RS to use? Or is his eligibility up? Can’t imagine he’d see any time this season.

Looks like I’ll have to get the MWC app on my iPad to watch the first game! Can’t believe Zeno wasn’t on scholarship, seems like he’s been there for a bit now.

Hope he gets well soon … listed as 6’2″ / 210 … may have to hit the weight room and put some muscle on to play H-Back … Bubba will take care of that …

Ignore the roster. They don’t update the heights/weights

  9. Old School Dave August 12, 2017 2:24 pm

Congrats to Zeno! Well deserved for all of his hard work. The stuff that Rolo pulls off is worthy of appearances on ESPN. I hope the higher ups realize that they have someone special as HC.

Have a strange hankering for some fried chicken & roast beef a la Chuckwagon on Kapiolani Blvd. Old folks know the place I’m talking about.

Congratulations to Big Boar Huntah Zeno!!!

Hope UH O-Line doesn’t look anything like the Tennessee Titans starting O-Line. Tsai’s Jets flying in untouched! Rough day for Titans QB’s.

Suffern’ Succotash! My Tsai-ko web page won’t let me edit or update and appears blank (click my name) although all data appears present. It was updated until yesterday and the rest of the site appears OK (but uneditable).

So no updates until I can figure out if my 9 year old iMac running an OS version now 7 generations obsolete (and the current software is as old) or HTML 4 is totally deprecated now. Obviously a case of my technology being as obsolete as me… hey, I retired 5 years ago.

So, give me another day to investigate, another 3 days to sulk and maybe buy a new iMac, another day to reload and see what of my old stuff can migrate to a modern system… 🙁

Don’t put cameras on these people.

    Don’t make them relevant.

    They’re performing for the camera.

Now this guy gets to be a martyr.

To make this sports-related, I would like to express my continued disappointment that the NFL is black-balling Colin Kaepernick. His critics know what the protest was about. They’re using the military to justify their agenda.

To make this Hawaii-related, I bet that Warriors loss still sticks in Coach Ault’s crawl.

Virginia is a fine university. George Mason, however, is home to the Mercatus Center.

I hope my comments are in good taste, and if I have offended anybody, I apologize.

The new Helmet (Helmets) will be introduced today. I think the event takes place 5:30 local time. Gonna have to stay up a little later to see pics it’ll be 10:30 here in Chicago-I’m aware of one element at least color scheme but we will see if that info is correct. I do think that loss still haunts the “Little General”. Losing the ball on an apparent touchdown could not have happened to a nicer guy!

    Morning Tsaikos!
