Komen For the Cure fundraiser, but for coming through on their daring dares. * * * * * It went largely unnoticed but Greg Salas played in all three phases — slotback, punt returner and safety — during the Idaho game. Safety? On the final play before the half, the Vandals lined up to take a knee and run out the clock. […]

It really sparked the practice. * * * * * * * * * * The Warriors are staying in a hill-top hotel. Thing is, there are no street lights on the drive up. And the hotel is next to a cemetery. One of the coaches described the hotel as “The Shining.” * * * * * The airport […]

By Stephen Tsai on October 14, 2009

The Warriors are scheduled to leave this afternoon. A few things: • Mike Tinoco was added to the travel roster in place of wideout Royce Pollard, who has a stress fracture in his left leg. • Jovonte Taylor, who did not play in the second half against Fresno State because of a sprained left ankle, said he is physically fit to start against Idaho. He will open at right wideout and also will serve as the No. 1 kick returner. […]
