For this two-game road trip to Washington and UNLV, the Warriors have a 66-player traveling squad. The breakdown: Four specialists; three quarterbacks, 11 offensive linemen, 13 receivers, three running backs, 11 defensive backs, eight linebackers, and 13 defensive linemen. Tuesday's workout

Today’s update: • Andrew Faaumu will get his second consecutive start at right guard. • Right guard Chauncy Winchester-Makainai remains on crutches, but does not believe his sore right knee is seriously injured. He said he is not experiencing any sharp pains. It has not been decided whether he will be included on the travel roster. • UH will continue to split snapping duties. Moniz, Falemalu honored

Quarterback Bryant Moniz and defensive end Paipai Falemalu today were named the WAC’s top offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively. In a 34-17 victory over Colorado, Moniz rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns, and was credited with a 22-yard scoring pass to Joey Iosefa. Brown, Bright reinstated

Head coach Greg McMackin and athletic director Jim Donovan have completed their investigation, and linebacker Aaron Brown and left wideout Darius Bright will not have to serve an additional suspension. They were benched for last night’s game because of their arrests last week following their alleged involvement in a fight in Waikiki. The Warriors conducted their final full practice this morning in preparation for  Saturday’s season opener against Colorado. The Warriors have a closed walk-through scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, after which they will check into a hotel for a night of meetings. Colorado arrives today, and is scheduled to have a light practice this afternoon. The Buffaloes will have a walk-through tomorrow morning. Following today’s light practice and meetings this afternoon, the Warriors are off until Monday morning’s practice. Head coach Greg McMackin said the Warriors did a lot of work during preseason training, and the off weekend will allow them to rest their legs before the practices leading to the Sept. 3 opener.
