Final tune-up

The Warriors have implemented their game plan, practiced it thoroughly, and are prepared — strategically, at least — for tomorrow’s Hawaii Bowl. This afternoon’s walk-through is a way to keep the players active. But like all walk-throughs, there will be no hitting and no pads. Some of the players will be wearing other people’s uniforms. Tonight, the Warriors will be sequestered in meetings.

Things I learned this past week:

• Defensive end Kamalu Umu’s mother, who is a nurse, had taken a second job with Aloha Airlines so her son could travel between Oahu and Kauai when he was attending Saint Louis School.

• Linebacker Corey Paredes can do a back-flip. Apparently, Corey and older brother Parker Paredes took gymnastic classes when they were 8 and 9, respectively.

* * * * *

It appears that David Katina, who is grayshirting, still needs to complete more work to be eligible to play in 2011. Originally scheduled to join the Warriors in January, that plan has been pushed back at least a semester.

* * * * *

Craig Stutzmann, a former Warrior player and graduate assistant, is spending the Christmas week in Hawaii. It’s a nice break for Stutzmann, who was a Memphis GA this past season and now works as a full-time assistant coach for Idaho State. Stutzmann said what he misses the most about Memphis is barbecue ribs and Graceland. He said one of the settings on his car radio was to a station that played Elvis songs 24/7.

* * * * * *

Today’s prize: the banquet program signed by the UH seniors.

To enter, please post: Hey, Santa, it’s time to play football.

Avis will choose a winner.

Happy birthday to Mrs. Momo.

And a happy belated birthday to Chantel Akeo.

    #17 –

Soccer legend Pelé, who was born Edson Arantes do Nascimento, refers to himself in the third person because he thinks of himself as two distinct people. “Yes, of course I think of Pelé as a different person,” he told Sports Illustrated in 1994. “When I met Pelé, I was seven or eight. Pelé doesn’t have a nation, race, religion or color. People all over the world love Pelé. Edson is a man like other men.”

In a 2003 interview with The Guardian, Pelé echoed the same beliefs. “I think of Pelé as a gift of God. We have billions of billions of people in the world, and we have one Beethoven, one Bach, one Michelangelo, one Pelé. That is the gift of God.”

    contest rules…just so you know

    forgot to clarify…

    1. the winner is the one who guesses the exact number of offensive yards by the warrior team.

    2. if no one guesses the exact number of yards gained offensively, then whomever is closest to that amount wins regardless if the differential is over or under the actual amount of yards.

    3. first tiebreaker; in the case of a tie between two or more persons then the person who guesses the total points by the warriors wins the first tiebreaker and is the winner.

    4. again if no one gets the actual number of points by hawaii, then, whomever comes closest to that amount wins regardless if the differential is over or under the actual amount of points.

    5. second and final tiebreaker; although highly unlikely, if two are still tied after going through the first tiebreaker, then, a head to head jan-ken-po one time cuts will be conducted. if unable to appear in person at a cattle call as announced, then, your rock, scissors or paper will be done via texting or phone call entry.

if three persons, then a “paper n stone” odd man wins will be held.

if four persons, then a jan-ken-po playoff will ensue.

if more then….too bad. nah. i’ll come up with some device.

    …nuff said.

  34. gigi-hawaii December 23, 2010 8:38 am

Although I am not entering the contest, I want to wish good luck to everyone who does!

  36. Capitol -ist/WassupDoc December 23, 2010 8:41 am

Best-laid plans, blah, blah, blah. Wound up spending over seven hours dealing with a blown radiator system yesterday.

The car broke down – second time in slightly over two weeks – just as I was driving down the sloping roadway to the parking kiosk to attend the first game in the basketball tournament. This time a great cloud of steam came blowing out from under the hood.

The earlier breakdown was a alternator dying on me at the hairpin turn on the Pali as I headed into town. Not a great place to have one’s car go kaflooey.

Around 1 pm yesterday, after waiting foreva” for Triple A to show up (again) I finally got to see the last few minutes of the first half of the second game concluding with a boring Baylor blowout of a hapless San Diego team.

From there it was catch a bus to Lex Brodie’s where I got to see most of the Boise State and Utal game in their waiting room while the car cooling system was being repaired. From there it was pick up DrDoc, go shopping for Friday’s T-Gate and then head on back up to The Stan for the second half of the Butler/Utah game – and, of course, a valiant attempt by the Rainbow Warriors to stop Florida State – not. But considering that we had no Amis and Thompson, it was pretty much a given.

NCAA – your #65 post yesterday – my loan application was turned down which is why I have to figure out how to keep an eight-yer-old computer system functioning for another couple of years. Having a (now) 23-year-old car rack up several Ks in repairs in less than a year decimated what little savings we had.

Because I have to spend the next several hours in working on the grant due in at 5 pm today, I will skip DD’s company luncheon so we can go watch the afternoon game between Washington State & Baylor. Hopefully, we will not have to drive back to Kailua to wrap up the grant app before sending it in.

And, yes, we’ll be making malassadas between 11 am and 1 pm.

My best to all the Warriors tomorrow – and this afternoon as well.

Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson took the art of base stealing and illeism to another level. As Henderson himself might tell you, among professional athletes, Rickey is the greatest illeist of all time. One of the many famous Rickey-isms was the voicemail message he left for Padres general manager Kevin Towers. “Kevin, this is Rickey, calling on behalf of Rickey,” Henderson said. “Rickey wants to play baseball.” Henderson once climbed aboard the Padres team bus and headed toward the back, when someone said, “You have tenure, sit wherever you want.” Rickey responded: “Ten years? Rickey’s been playing at least 16, 17 years.”

    Hawaii Bowl Overview:

Two of the most prolific offenses in the country face off on Christmas Eve:

Tulsa ranks No. 5 in the country in total offense, while Hawaii ranks No. 8.

Two great quarterbacks to watch, as well:

G.J. Kinne for the Golden Hurricane and Bryant Moniz for the Warriors. Hawaii is 3-2 in its past five bowl appearances. So is Tulsa. — by Andrea Adelson

Hey, ST, great write up on Kainoa LaCount. Met his mom at LAS while waiting for a flight up to DEN to see the Colorado game this year. i had thought I was going to be the only one catching that 6:20 am flight on game day, but there she was. But I overnighted in Boulder while she flew back to Vegas after the game. VERY nice lady, so proud yet humble of both sons’ accomplishments.

I’m not 100% comfortable with what I’m about to say because we never got to see Kainoa play a full season, but I’m going to go out on a limb anyway and say he looks like the best OT prospect we’ve ever had at UH. More raw power than Klemm or Esera, better lateral movement and feet than Uperesa or Pride’s mate, Mills. Maybe most similar to Hunter, without quite as much raw power, but just as nasty and with better feet and balance.

It would be a reach, but I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see him drafted since left OTs are so in demand in the NFL. If not, a first day FA deal is a lock.

  90. Pomai December 23, 2010 9:51 am

Hey, had the pleasure of meeting chopsueyboy this morning. YAY! 🙂 I highly recommend his shop for some great gifts. Love that place…Petals & Beans.

  104. Pride. December 23, 2010 10:10 am

  106. GRM December 23, 2010 10:13 am

Hey, Santa, it’s time to play football.

    GO WARRORS!!!

  107. Pomai December 23, 2010 10:14 am

Due to the importance of this game to our future, I feel that I need to re-post a “Prideism”:

“We are Hawaii. We are the Warriors. We have presence. We have confidence. We posture ourselves properly. When we walk into a room, we have a walk with a commanding presence. Boise state has to beat us. They have to play their best game to beat us. We are the leaders in the WAC for the year 2010. We are in the lead in t…he conference. We are at the top of the conference standings. Tulsa has to beat us.”

“They are coming onto our field to try to beat us. Yes, our field. Every field that we step onto is our field. Everything between the lines is ours. We will own the line of scrimmage, we will own the field. No matter what city we go to, we will own the field. That is our posture. That is the culture that we are building as Warriors. Teams have to play up to us. Nuff said.”

  108. Slugger December 23, 2010 10:16 am

    Pomai,

    I think we got options… 🙂

  109. Pomai December 23, 2010 10:16 am

Forgot to change boise to tulsa, but it make no difference who we are playing we need to project this image. WE OWN THE FIELD

  110. NorthShoreFan December 23, 2010 10:18 am

    Pomai..great post…MAHALOS!

  111. A-House December 23, 2010 10:22 am

    Warrior Mojo:

Mrs A-House was correct when she “sparked” you at the Colorado game – it was a “back and side view”; but we agreed that it was some one who looke like you!

and will ditto your remarks on LaCount – he hasthe tools to make a darn good left tackle in the NFL – OK, 49ers, get the ball rolling and draft him!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  112. Pride. December 23, 2010 10:22 am

Wow Pomai, you got me excited.

As Boyd Yap said on Tuesday night, “Give me one play brother. I’m 48 years old but I have one play left, give me the ball one more time, I know I can put it in. I know no one can stop me. Will you block for me for one more time brah? Will you block for me for one more play?”

    That gets me excited!!!

  113. A-House December 23, 2010 10:24 am

As the day draws nearer, in the silence of my office, I ask for a hard fought game without injuries to any player and may whomever execute the best with all the “luck” or bounce of the ball be the winner!!

    GO WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  114. (Jesse)James December 23, 2010 10:26 am

  118. Pomai December 23, 2010 10:30 am

The first quarter is most important, it is when we need to set the pace, show them that they have no chance on winning the battle on our field.

  119. Pomai December 23, 2010 10:32 am

As a fomer coach use to say, “He can’t complete a pass if he is on his back”

  120. al December 23, 2010 10:34 am

hoping for 45k in the stands.

hoping for the defense to lead us in this game.

hoping for the offense to shake off the dust and be in full gear by the second quarter.

hoping for the 45k in the stands to shake the rust off the rust palace.

  131. hawaiiansun December 23, 2010 10:51 am

3-week layoff is likely to lead to turnovers….more than total yards, it will count in this game.

It can get more ugly than the Las Vegas Bowl….Merry Xmas to all Warriors and coaches, best wishes to our seniors and congradulations to all our team–for a season well-played.

    Defend your house, Go Warriors!

  132. anklebiters December 23, 2010 10:57 am

Just saw UH’s helmet along with UTEP’s being displayed on ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt show. Apparently the helmets are picked randomly for each show.

  133. Oddo Booru December 23, 2010 11:05 am

Unsaid in Pride.’s scoring prediction is that every one of the 10 offensive drives will be 100 yards, thus the 1000 yards total offense.

    7 paragraphs on Kinne, 4 on Moniz…

    My favorite is this one:

Unlike Kinne, he is little threat to run. Instead, Moniz leads the nation in passing (356.1) and total offense (361.9), and credits his work in the offseason with receivers Greg Salas and Kealoha Pilares for helping him get better.

    😈

“Some of the players also received what the NCAA deemed improper discounts from a tattoo parlor. All have to give between 1,000 to $2,500 to charity to make up for their profits. Pryor sold his 2008 Big Ten championship ring and his 2008 “gold pants,” which the AP describes as “a trinket” given to players on a team that beats Michigan”..

  169. Spencer December 23, 2010 12:39 pm

Hey, Santa, it’s time to play football

  170. Kazz_DROID.X December 23, 2010 12:39 pm

We dont need a running QB in our offense.

If our QB has to run, something went wrong.

  171. Kazz_DROID.X December 23, 2010 12:41 pm

    Pomai,

I think Liz’s point is that Moniz can run if he has to or if its a QB Keeper play.

Moniz hasnt had to run that much this season.

  172. Kazz_DROID.X December 23, 2010 12:44 pm

Another true staement is that Moniz himself credited success to his receivers as well, but the unsung heroes are the offensive line players.

  173. gigi-hawaii December 23, 2010 12:46 pm

    ST,

good to hear about Umu’s mom. That’s dedication to one’s offspring!

Not surprised about Paredes doing those flips. He is so athletic.

  174. gigi-hawaii December 23, 2010 12:47 pm

whew, it’s so hot and humid. I had to turn on the a/c inside my hale.

  175. madeinhawaii December 23, 2010 12:50 pm

    Kazz..

Good point.. if the QB has to run .. something went wrong.. unless we are 18″ or less to the Goal for first down. But, I’d like to see our Warriors bring the Sack average down next season..

  176. madeinhawaii December 23, 2010 12:50 pm

Sacks against us.. I should clarify.

  177. Glenn December 23, 2010 12:51 pm

Hey, Santa, it’s time to play football.

    Go Warriors!

  178. LizKauai m/ December 23, 2010 12:56 pm

#171. Yes. That is exactly what I meant. We have many unused weapons in the arsenal… and an unselfish QB that likes to “spread” the ball around…

  179. LizKauai m/ December 23, 2010 12:57 pm

    gigi- AC is good.

  180. Pomai December 23, 2010 12:57 pm

I kind of disagree, I would like to see Moniz run a little more, it’s just one more thing that the tulsa defense has to plan for. The more weapons the better.

  181. Kaimuki Kid December 23, 2010 1:05 pm

Hey, Santa, it’s time to play football.

  182. NorthShoreFan December 23, 2010 1:06 pm

A qb need not run to much if they got one running attack too. Green will be missed next season but we got a good bunch of runing backs itching to show what they got.

IMHO, passing teams will suffer more sacks than teams that run but I luv the offense we got. It will only get better as Rolo gets more comfortable and creative. We’ll see the results get better and better each year.

    Already excited for next year!

  183. Kaimuki Kid December 23, 2010 1:06 pm

  186. Kazz December 23, 2010 1:08 pm

With each complimentary article, comes the proverbial “I DARE YOU”.

The Warriors are being challenged to show the nation they are deserving of a Top 25 ranking.

The Warriors are being challenged to show a national audience that they are worth watching on television.

The Warriors are being challenged by their new conference to prove that they can provide consistency.

The Warriors are being challenged to give their seniors a proper send off. Not even Colt Brennan got to leave UH with a bowl victory.

Every compairison to past teams and players are USELESS. Coach Mack is Coach Mack. Bryant Moniz is Bryant Moniz. Greg Salas is Greg Salas. Kealoha is Kealoha.

I read and hear “one snap and clear” a lot. I prefer “so what”.

So what if we went to the Sugar Bowl?

So what if we had a Heisman candidate?

    So what?

Tomorrow will be what counts. The success of the present is all that matters. The Warriors of today are the fighting for us and themselves now. Make the best of the situation you are in now.

The naysayers are applauding so force them into a standing ovation.

  187. RedZone December 23, 2010 1:08 pm

In college a quarterback who can run is a good thing to have. Look at the 2 teams going for the BCS Championship.

  188. RedZone December 23, 2010 1:11 pm

I like that we have a big athletic point guard coming in but I hope coach Dana can find someone who can coach the bigs. An Azama type point would be nice too.

  189. Kaimuki Kid December 23, 2010 1:11 pm

Go Warriors!!! Got to bust out some Silver Nitrate to put out the Hurricane….

    Geev’um some CRACKS!!!

100 points what we yelling out at the BYU game in 2001. nWe wanted the team to score 100 on BYU…alas onlt could get 72…

  190. RedZone December 23, 2010 1:14 pm

If Moniz runs against Tulsa he will need to protect himself. Those Cane linebackers come hard, fast and head first. They will go for his head too.

  191. RedZone December 23, 2010 1:19 pm

They knocked out Notre Dames qb early in the game so the Irish ended up going with their freshman backup. Whoever is number 2 on the depth chart needs to be ready to go at anytime. You are just one hit away. Tulsa will be very aggressive and play like they have nothing to lose. UH will need to play smart and not lose their cool and make stupid penalties.

A quick start on offense is imperative. You can’t fall behind on this team.

  192. Kazz December 23, 2010 1:21 pm

If Moniz is SCRIPTED to run as part of a play then that’s fine and better for us.

If Moniz has to run from a broken play, then… ugh… BUT again, we havent had to see that this much.

Considering Tulsa’s history against the pass, we SHOULDNT have issues with running our base offense, but a wrinkle or two would help.

However at this stage of the season, I think it would have been foolish for Tulsa to try to correct their defensive issues against the pass ESPECIALLY considering how bad it ranks (#119 out of 120)… it’s a lost cause. At this time of the season, it would be best for them to work on their strengths and add to it.

Im feeling a little more confident with regards to our defense against the no-huddle.

    No huddle situations:

    -LaTech (home)

    -Colorado (at Boulder)

    -Boise State (at Boise)

Of these three, one resulted in a win. LaTech doesn’t do well in Honolulu and Colorado was at elevation with a huge offensive line. Boise State is Boise State… PERIOD.

Tulsa lives and dies on the no huddle, but they come here. Our defense has been getting better with each game. I doubt Tulsa’s pass defense has been doing the same.

If we win, it will be due to defense and a liability-free special teams performance.

If we lose, it will be due to an offense stuck out of rhythm and special teams errors.

  193. Kazz December 23, 2010 1:24 pm

I meant to say that if Moniz has to run as part of a play like a QB keeper, then it helps us in addition.

I didn’t mean to say that Moniz running a lot meant it makes us better than going with our base offense.

  194. RedZone December 23, 2010 1:27 pm

If Green can get going against Tulsa UH will romp.

  195. Pomai December 23, 2010 1:36 pm

Kazz that is what I am saying, that if Moniz has set plays where he runs then that is one more thing for tulsa to worry about.

  196. Pomai December 23, 2010 1:37 pm

RedZone, that will be one key, but to be honest we need to be firing on all cylinders this game.

    GO WARRIORS!!!

  206. Kazz December 23, 2010 1:57 pm

    Pomai,

We’re actually talking about two different things.

There are already a few set plays where Moniz has to run and you said you’d like to see him run MORE.

Against Tulsa it won’t be as imperative as how we play defensively.

I don’t think we need to see Moniz run more for this game. The way it looks, Tulsa’s LBs and DBs cannot match up against our receivers and our line should hold up well against the front four of Tulsa.

Considering our offensive production and their defense we should go with what has been working. Like I mentioned earlier, it would be foolish for Tulsa to think that they can turn around their pass defense at this stage of the season against a passing offense like ours.

The only ones that can beat our offense is ourselves if they come out flat. Tulsa can beat us offensively and NOT defensively.

Considering the short amount of practice time, it would have been a waste of time to add wrinkles in areas proven successful. Our offense is predicated on repetition of the same stuff over and over again. We’ve seen new stuff added in here and there, but we never had to rely on the “bumbai u lern”-type plays.

  255. d1島 December 23, 2010 4:18 pm

    NSF,

the reality is that Hawaii normally plays at night and practices in the cool of the Manoa morning. The humidity factor may be an issue on both sidelines.

If, as someone posted earlier, Hawaii is on the Makai sideline they may be in a more gigi-preferred position.

  256. gigi-hawaii December 23, 2010 4:20 pm

why is Hawaii wearing white to this game? I thought Mack liked the black unis for good luck since they always win when wearing black.

  287. SteveM December 23, 2010 6:56 pm

I thought Hawaii always took the “visiting team” designation (if they had a choice) because they wanted to be on the makai sidelines during the Hawaii Bowl. Aside from the sun, this made the other team wear their darker home colors…but I suppose they could insist on wearing light colors and “force” Hawaii to wear dark (black)???

Last entry I saw today was at 1306 by the Kaimuki Kid in Al’s UH Offensive Yardage contest. Lots of good numbers left… 🙂

GO Warriors! We are soooo excited in CA.!

  294. Derek December 23, 2010 7:43 pm

Here’s my prediction for tomorrow. I am 6 for 6 on bowl games so far, straight up and against the spread (BYU, N. Illinois, Troy, Louisville, Boise St., and today San Diego St.). I look at the matchups and the quality of the competition during the regular season. I also look at things like the weather, whether a team has been winning at the end of the season, and if the teams are interested in playing in this bowl game. I also look at recent team personnel, injuries, suspensions, coaching changes etc. I think Tulsa is a very, very good team. Good balance on offense rushing and passing, good special teams. Their weakness is on defense where they give up a lot of points and yards. Example, Oklahoma St. torched them 65-27 by scoring 8 pssing TDs. They also gave up 50 points to Southern Mississippi, but they won that one. Their achilles is passing defense which is Hawaii strong point. Hawaii is the #1 passing team, and the rushing offense has stepped up towards the ending part of the season with Alex Green running tough. Hawaii’s rushing defense is underrated and the passing defense leads the nation in interceptions. Hawaii’s weakness is special teams in returning kicks, both kickoffs and punt returns. It should be a high scoring affair and points will be a plenty. Hawaii also has the home field advantage with is huge. If this game was on the mainland, it would be a toss-up or I would lean to Tulsa. I think both teams want to win this game badly. If Tulsa wins they would probably be in the top 25, about 25. If Hawaii wins, Hawaii could vault as high as #22. For recruiting it could be an extra plus to get one, maybe 2 very good players with a win. I see our Warriors winning this about 61-49, a 12 point margin. The line is about 10 to 11 depending on your site. Combined yards will exceed well over 1,000. Bryant Moniz will have a monster game and our defense will make enough big plays to help us win. Tulsa will score 7 touchdowns but it will not be enough. If one team gets out to a big lead, say 21 points, it doesn’t mean anything because each team is capable of coming back strong. As Lee Corso would say, “Not of Fast, my friend.” It will be an exciting game and the nation will be treated to a great Christmas Eve blockbuster, maybe the best bowl game of them all.

  295. LizKauai -iPad December 23, 2010 7:49 pm

  307. kailuaboys December 23, 2010 9:17 pm

Anyone know why they changed three starters on the left side for this game?

  308. protector December 23, 2010 9:21 pm

    gigi-hawaii on 256 and SteveM on 287,

I think it was mentioned that Hawaii IS always designated as the “visiting” team and I don’t think it’s by UH’s or Coach Mack’s choice. This IS the reason UH has to wear white and that Coach Mack has to “act” like he likes the idea (because he has no say in the matter). I’m hoping in the future UH can at least flip a coin so they can have a shot at wearing the black uniforms. To my mind I only remember them winning once or twice with the white ones; bad mana.

  309. protector December 23, 2010 9:25 pm

I know that earlier in the week, players had said that playing with the white leggings made it seem like they were playing ‘faster’. Let’s hope they take that mentality with them in their white unis at Aloha Stadium.

  310. uhwarriors December 23, 2010 9:35 pm

The WAC has been designated the visiting team in even years for the Hawaii Bowl. UH has been in the game in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010 and thus has been the visiting team 5 of the 6 times.

Two players from Mississippi State’s basketball team fought in the stands Thursday night between games at the Diamond Head Classic

It’s wonderful to find out Melbourne is identity so highly pra ised on an global stage (even if the get the job done was undertaken ??externally??? ). The shame of it is barely any on the advised applications happen to be carried out. In reality, the Metropolis of Melbourne have chosen to disregard a lot of what we saw from Landor shortly following the identity was launched. Overall implementation has up to now been really poor and does notlook like finding better anytime soon.

Count me as a different man or woman surpr ised you did notinclude pepsi around the ??worst??? l ist and even acknowledge their redesign.Other specific comments. The brand new Pfizer logo looks sloppy and careless to me. The blue clearspace close to the wordmark is uneven. I like the idea, but the execution is unhealthy. The outdated a person is tighter.I do notunderstand what you like improved concerning the new Guitar Hero logo. The destructive room amongst the letters makes it practically unattainable to examine for me.As for El Banco Deuno, I do notget it in any way. The line breaks seem completely jarring to me and remind me of a logo I did for my s ister is line of crafts when I was about 15 (it was the phrase pollywogs??? on two lines, with a hyphen?- ugh).Ultimately, I would like to determine your l ist of Identities which have been in desperate need of a redesign. My #1 choose could be Verizon.

How can the Nickelodeon logo be to the Best l ist but Bing be on the worst l ist? It truly is like looking at the exact same issue, one is skinny and also the other is fat. And I realize th is is nostalgia talking, however the new Nick logo is just poor.Out of the most beneficial l ist, I’d have put the NY Library nearer towards the top rated. Metropolis of Melbourne is quantity a person. The depth of their redesign was remarkable, and its applications across all media is equally fresh and purposeful. I am not sure if AOL meets precisely the same degree of usefulness. Positive, it can be a step over the past layout, but the amount a lot more so? And also to what end? Very well, that is definitely my two cents. Peace.

As well as whole Tropicana debacle was left off why? Talking of Tropicana, does the new Aol logo remind any one of your rejected Troipcana logo? Personally, I am not a fan of the Aol rebrand. When the execution and implementation are exceptional, the actual wordmark is dull, uninspired, and just form of blah. That currently being stated, I agree with most of the other rankings. I’m even now in enjoy with the city of Melbourne is new id.

Zune and iPod: Most people today compare the Zune to your Touch, but immediately after seeing how slim and surpr isingly small and mild it is, I think about it to become a relatively exclusive hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch along with the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED display is slightly smaller than the touch display screen, but the player itself feels fairly a bit smaller and lighter. interesting overview of logos, but, more interesting comments. identities are usually not manufactured by logos alone, but by their location within a larger set of collateral. no logo is an island and none need to be totally judged in isolation with the way they may be used.

For first-time network marketers, an MLM directory and a list of MLM companies can help provide you with a great deal of helpful information. It can certainly serve as a guide book for choosing legitimate and credible MLM companies, and it might as well aid steer you faraway from fly-by-night, pyramid marketing promotions schemes. Most MLM directories and lists compile solely legitimate enterprise opportunity providers, and sometimes blacklist the bad eggs.

Very well, to not repeat the hating on aol, but th is is almost certainly essentially the most d isappointing l ist to date. On the two sides. How can El Banco Deuno and aol be on the very best l ist, and then bash artwork directors club? I really did nothave a problem with that redesign, as well as the collateral was looking really great. You realize what will need to are actually on the l ist for worst logos? New York Philharmonic logo. My hatred of that logo burns in my chest to th is day. The name of the designer behind that logo would be the only reason for any of its achievement. The best l ist the year is pretty mediocre for me.I like Mary Shu is comment about her selections for the most effective l ist a little improved.

Me and my wife have some space on our property that we want to use to keep some chickens. My wife is all on about how we’re going to eat our own eggs and give them to friends and all haha! She thinks it is romantic to get up in the morning and get our own eggs and what not haha. Other than eating and giving the eggs we think it is a great way for our oldest child to experience some responsibility taking care of the chickens! I am building a coop myself now and will post some pictures on the progress and final thing when it’s done. Check out our FACEBOOK page

Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

Frailty-Frailty is a horror gem starring and directed by Bill Paxton. A grisly tale of a seemingly loving father who believes he and his sons are the hands of God. He searches out people he believes to be demons and cuts them to pieces. Fine period detail and acting, especially from the young boys, Frailty is about religious devotion run amok and turned into madness. A must see.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

Fantastic read! I have got a single recommendation for your site. It seems like there are several cascading stylesheet troubles when opening some web pages in google chrome and opera. It is operating fine in internet explorer. Maybe you could double check that. I have just bookmarked this content on delicious.com to get some more website visitors to your site.

An impressive blog post, I just shared this onto a fellow coworker who was doing a little analysis on this. And he believe it or not bought me lunch because I located it for him, so thank you. 🙂 So let me rephrase that: Thanks for the treat! But yeah, Thanks for spending the time to write about this, would love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more info? It is extremely helpful for me. Big thumb up for this post!

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

This will be a great website, could you be involved in doing an interview regarding how you created it? If so e-mail me!
