Great…the video stream is not available on a mobile device…The BW is so behind the times in tech terms…

  2. wahinefan87 November 10, 2019 11:57 am

Riverside got swept 10 times in a row before last Tuesday when they beat UCI in five. Hopefully, some of our sparsely used bench players will see some PT today.

    1. I hear ya. Unable to get it on my notebook, too — on a wired connection. Listening to TW on cbssportshawaii.com.

Video feed on now at bigwest.tv.

Just point the camera at the center of the court! Or get a wider angle lens. I predict motion sickness after awhile of watching the amateur camera work. At least it’s better than the fixed court-end camera.

  7. Row13 November 10, 2019 12:32 pm

The operator jerks the camera so quickly left & right you can’t follow the ball. Agree with #6. Go with a stationary wide angle already.

I’m with you #6 and #7. Boy are we fortunate to have spectrum streaming with such a nice video streaming service to watch these games. We watch these other Big West streams and it looks worse than how my high school used to stream games haha.

At least they give a quick shot of the stats on the scoreboard during timeouts. Wishe it’d be a little longer.

    1., 2., etc

I watched the whole thing on my iPad. On my home network, Verizon Fios, Wash DC area.

But I notice that the error message I get when I try to click into the link on BWTV says that I have the wrong device or OS. This is obviously not the case. Never give up until five minutes after game time. Always work for me.

    Well, thank you WKU for sabotaging Rice. Now we may be moving more up because of this. BTW, Cindy, not sure if that’s a typo in the Washington/Oregon State matchup, but is the 2-25 set 2 correct? O.o;

I would find it to be a bit weird for people looking at this and think that there’s no way Washington could be blown out that bad.

  13. H-Man November 10, 2019 1:38 pm

I emailed my comments to the address above. Let’s see if I get a response.

Anyway, Wahine played their game to get a win.

  14. tongo November 10, 2019 1:41 pm

Just sent such a complaint to their SID while recovering from motion sickness induced by watching this embarrassing Big West broadcast by UC Riverside.

  15. Cindy Luis November 10, 2019 1:52 pm

thanks for the note on the typo in score. it was 22-25

Bored, so went back to BWTV to watch the Wahine vs Washington match. Jolie Rasmussen is skilled at do many things. She passes, hits from all over the court, keeps everyone positive. The wahine, with their best player, look so good. Rasmussen is so “fan-able”.

When the story of this season is written, a primary point will be how coach Robyn kept the team progressing after losing their best hitter to injury for most of the season.

  17. Lloyd November 10, 2019 5:50 pm

#11 I agree I dont have issue connecting with live stream, Im using Mc too with the service provider of Verizon Fios here by the University of Maryland. 2 more games for wahine so Wishing all the luck. Yahooo, fan of Wahine from the EASt coast side.

  18. darkfire35 November 10, 2019 9:43 pm

16 Agreed. It took a little while in the beginning before Robyn and staff could get the right combination of who goes in where, when. I believe the best rotation the Wahine has now is Hanna Opp, Amber/Sky mid, BVS OH, Norene serving, Rika libero and Rossy DS/back row hitter. Otherwise, it would prolly be reversed if Jolie were in. BVS would be in back with Jolie OH. Man, what a rotation that was…and hopefully will be again before the season is over. GO BOWS!

  19. Aiea 7 November 10, 2019 9:44 pm

I like the passing set up they use now with okino, brooke and a setter. these folks can pass, the others (ross, helvig, riley, etc.) are not very good or consistent. the first pass is critical for the setter to set a good ball to the middle or outside hitters. in any case, except for JR the hitters cannot hit well from the back row, they make too many mistakes, either into the net or out of the court. if you cannot do it well why try, you are only hurting the team, mistakes are points for the other team.

  20. Big Island Volleyball Fan November 10, 2019 9:54 pm

Seeing how some bloggers were frustrated with the Riverside video, I’m not sorry I missed the match. Thought it was at 5 PM when it was actually at noon.

Think that Kashuna Williams from Long Beach will win Big West Player of the Week and Hanna Helvig another Big West Freshman of the Week. Don’t know about defensive player, though.

#17. Home boy. We are in Cabin John, MD. It’s in between Bethesda and Potomac. But Mililani is always *home*.

  22. Beauston November 11, 2019 5:27 am

@21 I’m right in Potomac. Park Potomac to be exact! Perhaps a viewing party for us MoCo Wahine fans for one of their NCAA games would be good. Waipahu native here.
