Someone uploaded the UH-UCSB men’s exhibition on Youtube, and Hawaii still looks awesome! I think Hawaii fans have a lot to look forward to in January! Still amazing!

Actiually, I agree with H-man if they announced that Jolie was cleared for this weekend. Attendance and excitment would increase. With Jolie we are trying to bust into the top ten. WIthout her we are a young team with potential.

    1. That’s old news, that video was available the day after the exhibition match!

Regarding announcing Jolie and increasing attendance, if that is the difference maker for someone attending the Friday, UCSB match or the Sunday Cal Poly match, then☹

Not announcing if Jolie could play or not would seem to be more strategic than influencing attendance like BVS coming back. I’d want to keep that as secretive as possible so the other team won’t be ready for it. Just like the UC Davies coach said…they were ready for Hellvig on the left, but when BVS came in and she moved to the right, they didn’t have an answer for it.

What happened to Aven Lee? What is she doing now?

    3. Your point is? I didn’t say that the video was new..and maybe not everyone knew about it…

Again…Robyn does not operate like that. Jolie Nisan part of the team. Robyn is not going to treat Jolie different from anybody else.

No announcements were made when BVS, McKenna Ross and Braelyn Akana came back. Why should Robyn make a big deal about Jolie.

I know she is the star of the team but Robyn have stressed TEAM first and nobody get special treatment so why start now with Jolie?

If a coach does not practices what he/she preached, that coach will lose the team fast.

Why make a big deal about Jolie? Because she adds so much to the team charisma. Love watching her play in person.

    #9..

It is kind of insulting to the others who put in the work to make this team better. All you do is reap love over one person.

If you love watching her play, that is fine. I love watching her play too BUT I also love watching Hanna Hellvig, Amber Igeide, Skyler Williams, BVS and the rest of the team too.

If the other girls on the team read about Jolie this and Jolie that, don’t you think it will cause some kind of resentment?

Stop with the love for one player and support the team. Let the Jolie come back when she is ready.

Talk about how Amber have excelled as a freshman, how Hanna have carried the team, how Brooke’s all around skills are key, etc… Give love and credit to those who are doing the work to make this team a very good team.

Whole SQUAD gets the credit for keeping the team seeded so far as some engaged only as practice partners in gym. Every one in current crew has improved in skills and doing an awesome job. Since passing is the key weakness, setters should have good plan/communication of designed plays depends on where the pass is received. Then only, combination attacks can be used to disrupt defenders. MBs are half-rotation players, should be more active being in combination attacks to support OHs. Wonder why, wahines typically, have a slow start in home court?

10* So you never had a favorite player. Jolie is a dynamic player. What’s wrong with wishing for the return of Jolie Rasmussen. We celebrate Norene’s play , we celebrate Hanna’s play, we celebrated when the girls win individual awards. Whats wrong with that. This is not AYSO soccer.

    new thread up for Friday.
    Don’t forget to play nice.
Only saw the Warriors against Long Beach State but they were pretty impressive. should be a fun seasons.
Don’t think that UH is being tactical about Rasmussen. When she is cleared, she will be cleared. It isn’t up to the coaches or Rasmussen. It is up to the medical staff.
Rasmussen obviously was the best player they had for first seven matches. but she’s been out for 14.
Was trying to understand why her coming back would be the incentive to come to this week’s matches. I would think that it being the top two teams in the Big West and Hawaii having the chance to take over the lead would be enough.
