Although old news the following put everything in perspective. Hawaii made the AVCA 2019 Team Academic list, along with UCSB.

Wahine Program is turning out accomplished young women in academics!

    GO BOWS

Thinking out loud, I was wondering if Hawaii had any surgeons that can perform the “Knotless Syndemosis Tightrope” surgery aka “Tightrope, I know that TuaTavaigaloa and Jalen Hurts had high ankle injuries, did the 25 minute procedure, and was back running full speed in a week to 10 days after surgery.
Amazing!! I was just thinking if Jolie had that done , she would return and heal quicker. I know $$$$ is involved and who here locally can actually perform it.

How in the world did this LBSU team push Florida to the glimpse of defeat? Hawaii should destroy LBSU, Williams may get her kills but boy is she a BAD back row player! Interesting CSUN pushing UCSB up 2-1…

After having watched Cal Poly defeat Long Beach in a rather sloppy match, I think that Hawaii could easily hand Cal Poly its first match loss at home in three years especially if Torrey van Winden is still out. As for Long Beach, easy sweep for UH.

As CSUN is showing UCSB, nothing will be easy for anyone. Assume nothing, expect everything and respect everyone.

    5. Well said. I believe RAM preaches that to the team as well. They have to, if they want to come firing on all cylinders and not wait until they’re down 2 sets!! GO BOWS!!!

    2. since we don’t know the exact extent of the injury we don’t know if that surgery is applicable.

I’m pretty bummed that Cal Poly won’t be at full strength this year. I was hoping for them and UH to pretty much run the table in the Big West and then have their showdown for the championship. It also makes UH look better if they beat them. Plus getting revenge for the past couple years isn’t as fun when the other team is struggling with injuries.

In the past we’ve been able to watch all of the Bows conference away games, even if it was from a mediocre webcam. It seems like this year I’m having real trouble finding any of that. Like, is BegWest TV not a thing anymore? There are no links for the Hawaii-Long Beach game. I tried going to Long Beach, but they point to “Beach Vision” which bounces back to the BigWest.

Looks like Long Beach State game is on ESPN3

At least the weather will be 71 degrees in Long Beach at game-time. Whereas it will be several degrees hotter + humidity in Honolulu. Undoubtedly, the girls must be enjoying the cooler California weather.

    10. ESPN3 Friday for the Beach game. Although the Big West hasn’t updated that on their schedule page
Hawaii posts its links on its schedule page. although I don’t see a link to Watch yet
Big West has its links on the Schedule page for each sport

It’s too bad UH can’t have a rest day between matches. Thurs. and Sat., or Fri. and Sun. matches would be better. I guess this is due to $.
