‘Bows in the Pros: Hawaii football alum Jahlani Tavai records sack in NFL debut
Jahlani Tavai made his presence felt for the Detroit Lions in his official NFL debut.
The Lions’ second-round draft pick started at linebacker and made three solo tackles in Sunday’s 27-27 tie with the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1.
Most notably, he had a sack of reigning Heisman Trophy winner and top overall draft pick Kyler Murray in the third quarter.

He also hurried the Cardinals’ quarterback on a play in overtime, drawing praise from the Fox Sports broadcast team.
