UPDATING
Practice very energized. very different from two years ago. Wasn’t just the AC.

In 2017, team took 90 minutes to compete a passing drill which was passing a ball over the net to a player in the receiving line, below the antenna, 150 consecutive times without dropping (team divided on 3 courts). Today it took maybe six minutes.

They also went into 6-on-6 play, something that didn’t happen until much later in two-a-days last year.

No timed mile run with the track still be renovated.

Also, this will be Rika Okino’s final year. The redshirt junior is graduating in May.

IMHO, the Wahine have the same problem that the Warriors did. Lot of talent vying for six spots on the court.

The Gym I flooring.
Players and media alike enjoyed the renovated facility.

Excited for the upcoming season. I see good things unfolding for this year’s team if they can stay healthy.

Thanks for your updates, Cindy. Feeding us hungry fans! Lots of talent vying for just a few spots sounds like a good problem to have.

It’s too bad Rika’s going to graduate a year early but congrats to her! She really made a lot of progress insofar as her defense and especially her serving compared to a couple of years ago. She will be missed!
    GO BOWS!!

    new thread up for Sunday
    11. technically not graduating early. She is doing so in four years. Just giving up a final year of playing if she stayed as a fifth-year senior.
Very smart young woman. Was a valedictorian at Kalani, had the highest GPA on the Wahine last season. Would get more academic honors but doesn’t play enough to qualify for some.
