Two former Rainbow Warriors, middle Taylor Averill and libero Tui Tuileta, have made the U.S. men’s national team 14-player travel roster for the third week of Volleyball Nations League (VNL) action Friday through Sunday. It means that all six players with island ties are on the trip. The roster has 25 players.

The U.S. Men (2-4) will play Argentina (2-4), Germany (2-4) and France (5-1). Each match is scheduled for 5 a.m. HST and all will be shown live on FloVolleyball.tv, a subscription service.

The travel roster also includes setters Kawika Shoji (‘Iolani) and Micah Christenson (Kamehameha), Micah Ma’a (Punahou) a designated setter who has been used as a hitter, and libero Erik Shoji (Punahou).

Averill is replacing Jeff Jendryk and Tuileta is traveling instead of Kyle Dagostino.
