Let’s Go Bows!!!
Go Wahine!!!
You likely won’t see Sky Williams tonight. Not cleared (turned an ankle in practice).
Excited to see who will be in the starting lineup. We are getting to the point in the season where we need to solidify the starters. Go Wahine!
What’s happening with the streaming?!
Bummer. Hopefully it’s only a minor strain. We need healthy Wahine going into conference.
no change in starters for UH
Granato, Burns, Akiu, Iosia, Ma’afala, Liva, Castillo
5. Wahine are in conference play. this is match 3
BigWestTV streaming not working for me here in LA. Anyone else having problems?
4 – I have the same problem. Getting an error message that the streaming is not available for my “platform.”. I’ve tried a phone, iPad, and computer.
Stream not working for me in Nevada either. Been waiting all evening for this too. Bummer.
Streaming not working in Pennsylvania either.
Two aces by Granato. UH up 14-11. TO Titans
Don’t know what to say about the streaming.
Granato still serving 18-11
Granato still serving. It’s 18-11. TO Titans
Stream now working for me. Keep trying!
norene iosia shows front players how to finish an over set.👍
As Granato goes, so go the Wahine it seems. When she is feeling it, she is the fire!
Krug in for the first time this season.
Fullerton’s Fezzey down, right ankle at 22-12
Ok, she looks ok. Whew. Don’t like seeing that.
Wahine win 25-15
had to do a network reset.
Granato served well.
Casey! That’s how you swing line!!!
Hawaii up 13-8. TO Titans
on another note, No. 24 Arizona upsets No. 12 Oregon in Eugene, 25-23, 16-25, 25-23, 22-25, 16-14
streaming not working here in Washington DC
Akiu with 10 digs, has been in double digits in every match this season. UH up 17-9. TO Titans
krug lookin good on the net. she will be a force once our setters find her wheelhouse.
26. The quack has been whacked…
I like the progress the team is making. Coaches doing a great job and the players really playing hard.
Wahine end it with a block, their sixth of the night. 25-19. It was Granato and Burns, mostly Burns.
Good. 5 min. intermission…
Funny. Ok, Fullerton doesn’t have enough fire power. Lol
Cindy are you deleting posts? Really?
So nice to see everyone getting in. Sibs needs to get some action.
UH up 9-4. TO Titans. Krug has her first kill and was in on 2 more blocks.
34. no. busy doing other things.
Gotcha. Man, Notta bot… 🙂
Some pretty ugly volleyball. UH up 17-16. TO Wahine
Nice to see Fullerton fighting back hard.
Hawaii up 20-16. TO Titans
Hawaii sweeps 25-21.
Nice to get almost everyone on the court tonight. Mahalo Cindy.
seems kamalei is some sturdy armor wahine can definitely use
#35. yes she indeed deleting post here. I am watching From Washington D.C. and trying to share some thoughts coz I really a big fan of Wahine VB but no luck Its always deleted by the moderator. since the streaming didn’t work here tonight in D.C. ill waiting the Utube upload to watch the game.
3am here and mahalo.
46. I am not deleting posts. since you are a new user, your posts went into pending. After I finished my story, I had time to come back to the blog and found them. I did delete the three that were the same.
you should be good to go from now on. Thanks for dropping in.
3-0 …Thankful! Sloppy overall, but we have better talent than Fullerton who has tons of walk-on on the team. Not to get ahead of this year, but spent some time looking at the recruits from Louisiana, Canada, and Sweden on tape.
Oh boy , we are going to be loading up with some heavy guns next year. This year is the calm before incoming storm. Lets all hang in there gang. From what I have seen especially from one girl who possess Heather Bowen ( former U.H.All American/Olympics) power, the Robyn/Angelina and staff machine is going to be just fine in next coming years
Got to give them time to their own recruiting. Normally takes 3-4 years before you can establish your own recruits. For Now, Lets Go Bows!!
Great win, Wahine.
Just a few thoughts…Kamalei is quicker on her feet than Liva on blocks to the pins and should get more playing time; Castillo’s arm swing is faster and she’s hitting the ball harder and Granato should be rotated out after serving; Ross is a better back row passer.
Jus sayin.
LET’S GO BOWS.
49. Agree with getting Granato out after serving (especially since the pipe set isn’t a part of the offense), but with Gaskin/Maafala and Castillo/Okino, they would seem to run out of subs pretty quickly.
Castillo showed some extra confidence last night. She was hitting at a high contact point.
#49 Agreed certainly about Krug’s blocking and Ross/Granato rotation. Need to cut down unforced service errors (Rika & Granato) meanwhile maintaining offensive serves. Unlike Norene, Granato’s tips rarely find open floor behind block. I guess need to mix up with roll over shots to open floor in baseline area too, not allowing defense to settle in. Hope these adjustments tried out today to compete against next week very strong opponents. Good progress on each match and kudos!
Anyone know what is up with the 5-minute break? They said they were doing this pre-season, but now it looks like it is happening during conference play as well. This will cut out the ability to have between-set contests, which might hurt the corporate sponsorship.
#49 and 51. Agree totally except granato should be subbed out before she serves. 2 more service errors last bringing her season total to about 25 in 12 matches. Ridiculous. She doesn’t even jump serve like iosia.
This may be old news but did Robyn ever post an official reason for Sophia Howling’s departure?
I hope that previous post with the link about Tiff Westerberg committing to Hawaii was true. Anyone else see the video? For a couple sets she played right side and looked like Nikki Taylor off the D set!
48. I hope you’re right about upcoming recruits. As I said, if this Tiff Westerberg from Canada is for real, she could really help with the outside since we’ll be missing our pin hitters after this year. I know she’s supposed to be a MB, but that outside stuff she was doing was great!
And speedy recovery Skyler! We need you out there especially with Natasha leaving after this year. Lotsa holes to fill! GO BOWS!
50 the pipe is part of the offense so Granato will remain a 6-rotation player.
52. don’t know why they didn’t do 10 minutes. it was supposed to by only during nonconference
53. Granato-Ross is not an option.
hmmm, let’s see, Granato 3 aces during a 9-0 serving run. had 2 SE’s in 15 attempts. coaches will take that number any day.
54. only thing she said was if a player doesn’t want to be here no reason for her to stay. They never did anything official.
Have mentioned that next year they should be good with what they are expected to bring in. But nothing official yet. LOI in November.
