In the group photo, I see Kalei Greeley and Gianna Guinasso.

If I had known in advance that Kee Williams was going to be there, i definitely would have made a point to go to #DSAlohaball.

I sure do love the Greeley clan.

I also saw Nikki Taylor there. It was hard to see the current Bows, they were in the stands for the most part in lower Section C.

I believe McKenna Granato was there also. The other girls probably made arrangements to go back home immediately after finals(since they have to vacate their dorms). I’m sure more of the current players would attend if they could.

There was still plenty of love for Shoji. Even player like Tanya Nickolic(who really never excelled) came back to honor him.

I hope Robyn can find some of Dave’s magic and continue to use it. Asking Robyn to be Dave is unrealistic but I hope she can at least pick his brain and do stuffs that made him legendary. A lot of new coaches want to do blaze their own path and do their own thing.

Bonnie Gouveia, Waynette Mitchell, Terre Malterre–

my 1st, 2d, and 3d favorites of all time.

There were also video tributes played throughout the evening by players who couldn’t make it. I recall Emily Hartong, both Illustre sisters, and Deitre Collins (who I think they put in the coach’s tribute section). I was a little disappointed that Brian Gimmillaro’s video tribute was so straight – I thought it would have been way funnier if he had added some things that were bleeped out.

Does anyone know if a DVD will be made for Sunday’s celebration? It was a really fun and moving celebration, but I would love to see Jim Leahy’s rendition of Klum Gym again! It was an instant classic as only Jim Leahy could do it!

    8. I hope they do. That would be a perfect way to raise money for his scholarship endowment.
