Gameday: UC Davis

The last time Hawaii and UC Davis met up, the Rainbow Warriors survived a 35-foot launch by Darius Graham at the buzzer at UCD’s Pavilion — and UH celebrated its first regular-season basketball championship since 2002.

Davis lost frontcourt mainstays Josh Fox and Neal Monson from that team, but just about everyone else is back — and the Aggies have a potent newcomer in Australian Chima Moneke.

Moneke is the Big West leader in double-doubles at seven. His next one will set a Davis single-season record.

UH guard Sheriff Drammeh is dressed to play and will likely see action off the bench today coming off a pinched nerve in his shoulder.

The Bows are rolling with the same lineup from the Northridge game — Brocke Stepteau, Leland Green, Noah Allen, Jack Purchase and Gibson Johnson.

Is another buzzer in the works tonight? UH might have to grind out the full 40 minutes to make it happen.
