Warrior fundraiser, Allen Allen, et al

Warriors fundraiser on Sunday at the arena, 6 p.m.
you can still buy tickets. go to koaanuenue.org.

The outstanding Warrior alum to be honored will be Allen Allen. The award is based a lot on what the former player does after leaving UH. Allen is a longtime coach and continues to give back in the communities he has lived in and also at other camps around the country.

From previous threads:
On Tuileta … my understanding is he is at KCC trying to get academics in order. likely joining team in 2017.

Wade’s show … they recapped the Outrigger and the road trip to Pepperdine. if you read my story in today’s paper, pretty much everything he said on radio he had told me yesterday.
He likes how his team has grown, that they really stepped up Saturday after being swept Friday.
talked a little about how they recruited van Tilburg, that he was alerted by a friend who was in Europe.

Beach roster was updated this morning for those who were questioning whether some were still on the team

not sure why people are so worried about indoor recruiting. They’ve had ‘late’ signings quite often. November is the ‘early’ signing period. Hall was recruiting on the mainland last week so something may come out of that.

they lose 3 scholarship seniors in Taylor, Higgins and Mitchem. have one commit in Lipscomb.

Shoji did mention at the banquet that he’s had a lot of interest from walk-ons for next season.

So what is it. Is maglio 6-2, 6-3 or 6-4

6-3. When Emily first arrived she was listed at 6-2. Measured at 6-3 last Fall. Beach roster had her listed at 6-4 last Spring. She’s 6-3 and Nikki is 6-4 but listed at 6-3 on the Beach roster. It’s only numbers anyway.

Out of curiousity, I watched 7-0 CSUN tonight. Based on tonight’s play, I believe that they will end up in the bottom half of the MPSF by the season’s end. They do have a solid service game.

I think some are a little worried about recruiting because most top 20 schools are done with 2017 recruiting and halfway through 2018. UH is a little behind in comparison.

    1. good question. players sometimes don’t like to be listed as tall as they are. Beach SID may be going off last year’s numbers and not what they were listed in fall.
