Recapping Wade on the radio

Wade was on the radio this morning

Talked a little about the toughness of the MPSF, the toughest conference in any college sports.

Scott asked if he was surprised about being No. 9 in the poll. Said he wasn’t concerned, teams have to be ranked somewhere

They start practice the Friday. They will be staying at Pearl Harbor to train and do some community stuff at Pearl Harbor Saturday through Monday

spoke a bit about hiring Zarkovic, Siki’s dad. Happy to have him. was almost embarrassed to discuss the opening with him because the salary was so low but seemed to be the perfect storm with Zarkovic mentioning he wanted to come to the U.S. and UH having an opening.

Said with his international background, gives a new set of eyes and a different perspective

could be good for recruiting with his Europe connections but Wade said if they brought in a foreign athlete, he’d have to be an immediate impact player.

They will have their fundraising dinner Jan. 19 at the SSC

Final poll is for entertainment and conversation, otherwise it’s a joke.

Thanks for the recap cindy, noticed Pukahi a few weeks ago, but men’s commits are kinda pointless since never know who shows up in the fall. Only one that is kind of a guarantee is the one that was announced by UH. I like Pukahi’s height and athletism though so I hope he shows up next season.
